He's determined, driven to do as well as he possibly can. Unfortunately his potential isn't that great, but at least he comes close to fulfilling it and tries his hardest every time he goes out there. I would much rather see him in the squad ahead of Malouda, Torres et al.

Come to think of it, all our 04/05 kits were brilliant.

Why would they think it when they've known it and exercised that power since before Mourinho left? If Drogba and his faction want AVB out, theres not a lot anyone can do to stop it. -

Bringing on Ferreira for Bosingwa with 10 minutes to go when drawing at home to Fulham back on Boxing Day was the single worst substitution I have ever seen in football. -
A point worth considering is that Salomon Kalou is 186 cm, Lacina Traoré is 208 cm and Nikola Zigic is 202 cm. None of them are famous for being able to out power their opponents.

Bourgeoisie. Although I'm only one generation from dirt poor goat farmers. -
How can Chelsea claim to be rebuilding...

That's a huge wishlist, I think at the best we can get 2 of those 3. We can't afford to splash 120 million on wingers, we need a playmaker, and a right back who can offer more than Ivanovic going forward but more than Bosingwa when defending. We also need to promote Bertrand/van Aanholt or buy a new left back as Ashley just doesn't have it in him these days to play 50 games a season. -
If he's coming back to England, we've got to throw money at him if he looks like going anywhere except Man City. I think we can afford him going to City, inevitably the Sheikh will do a Roman and get rid of José. Also he could cause some dressing room problems at City like he did with us We absolutely cannot afford one of our rivals getting him. As it is we're struggling for 4th, we'll be fucked if Arsenal/Spuds/Liverpool (however unlikely any of those 3 may seem) get him.

We could go for Mata-Sturridge-Kalou. Kalou is surely better than Malouda, and Sturridge through the centre is worth the price of Kalou starting. -
Here they go again, virtually managing the club: Texting"]http://www.telegraph...e-Mourinho.html Texting Mourinho, effectively undermining AVB

Surely those quotes are not real?

Here's a wish that will never be fulfilled, Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Sorry if I come across as ignorant, but I thought the only "major" minority group in India were the Muslims? And also I thought that most governments around the country were Hindu right-wingers, and hence not very interested in pandering to the minorities?
-
At least he tries to. Last season for a while he was the only one who bothered with being direct.
-
Penalties are something entirely different. I think he would have converted that if it had been a chance from open play.

Bit tautological to use Liverpool and Disgusting in the same sentence. Some of those comments are not acceptable, he should be facing police prosecution for that. Some of those comments are unacceptable, he should be facing police prosecution for that. What he said to Ferdinand was out of order, what he said about assassinating Ferguson and Evra is beyond words. I agree with the OP, shocking stuff in a Western country in 2012. Shocking anywhere in 2012. Who does he think he is, posting crap like "I think you were poor today @cesc4official you had better apologise to the fans." Break his fucking keyboard, he's clearly one of the cunts who acts all tough behind it but when you meet him is a timid little kid.
-
The newer players simply won't get involved in this shit. The old ones are only into it because Mourinho built them up with that Untouchable's shit and inflated their egos. The whole dressing room power has been exacerbated by weak managers that followed Mourinho, like Grant, Ancelotti and Villas-Boas. Managers who openly tried to break it apart, like Scolari, were dealt with almost immediately.
-
What's the most we can get for him? 10 million? Let's just cut our losses and try to salvage something out of this. He won't deliver for us, and its not the team's problem he can't put away the chances he does get. He could well be in double figures by now had he not missed those sitters that I, perhaps the worst finisher in the world, could have scored. It won't matter if we give him 20 chances a game with some kind of dream team midfield or just the 1 or 2 he gets now, he will never be a 50 million pound player. To be frank, he could play in the A-League and still look ordinary, which is saying something as the quality of our league is poor.

Hot sand can be incredibly painful. It doesn't get that hot here in Sydney when compared with the rest of Australia, but even on 25-30 degree day's its unbearable to walk on sand barefoot.

I for one think our board and the shoddy relationship between Roman, his yes-men, and the club is our weakest link. The squad probably follow as the next weakest, though.

Fair play can be easily circumvented, though. What's to stop Roman purchasing a million Chelsea shirts at 100 pound each (using a fake name or bank account of course) to give us a cash inflow? Or something of the sort, like Man City's deal with Etihad. It's not right for us to sack him yet. If he fails to get us to 4th, we need to seriously think about it as not playing in the Champions League is a nightmare scenario for this club. -
The Drogba faction, I feel, has more power these days than the Terry faction. We know for sure that it was the Drogba/Cech/Ballack lot that got rid of Scolari, the JT group haven't really done much of late, although they may have been partly responsible for José's departure Coincidentally, those 4 you named as those showing desire are the ones I don't think are involved in dressing room politics. Get this mob of wannabe Obama's out or shatter their source of power: the countless people between Roman and the club.
-
Neither are Drogba and Torres, unfortunately. As long as he's good enough to get, say, 20 goals for 50 appearances, we should look into signing him.
-
Does anyone regularly watch Napoli? If so, what are their weaknesses? I think (given how poorly we have been finishing of late) we need to get goals from set pieces or counters as we just don't have the form to create and convert enough chances at the moment.
