  1. No way should Daniel Andre Sturridge be even included in the matchday squad, Didier will bully the fuck out of that enormous boat Daniel van Buyten. They've lost Badstuber, their central defence will be wank and will lack both pace and power. Torres is more than quick enough as well if he's going to be up against van Buyten. Unless they do a Barcelona 2009 and defy those odds we've got a 3-0 win on our hands. The only defensive problem we have is Bosingwa v Robben, Gomez is rubbish and won't pose a threat at all for Cahill and Luiz, but we can get away with that by hoping Robben and Ribery still want to kill each other. Gomez is probably the most overrated striker in the world, he's happy to knock in a dozen goals against Alemannia Aachen or whatever, then do absolutely bugger all on the big occasions. He's also incredibly slow for such a prolific striker. I can genuinely see us keeping a clean sheet.
  2. That's fucked, Ivanovic should be playing. I think the rules should be changed, players shouldn't miss out on the final for showing dissent, especially when its as mild as kicking the spot and not swearing at the ref or whatever. Suspensions in this case should be for purely footballing reasons.
  3. Actually, I'm going to flip on my earlier position that he could lose his physical attributes quickly due to injury/age. They don't call him the Blue Kenyan for nothing, he may lose his outstanding acceleration and pace but I don't think he'll ever lose the ability to cover 12km a game until he's about 40.
  4. Ramires' little jig after that goal was delightful.
  5. Relief. Just so relieved that we wouldn't be Iniesta'd again. And then tears of happiness
  6. My commiserations, Jose. Going out on penalties is just so harsh, especially for a man who has been denied so many times on penalties. Better luck next year. One thing we have not considered is that if the final goes to penalties, we are well and truly fucked. Germans don't miss penalties. Also, did anyone from Bayern get booked?
  7. Get rid of Gourlay, ASAP. Send him to Siberia to work in your evil volcano mountain lair, Roman.
  8. He'll enter our folklore now, even if he never scores another goal in his career.
  9. The only thing negative tonight was John Terry and his blood rush, and bookings for Ramires and Ivanovic for non footballing reasons. Everything else has enriched football.
  10. Balancing the books, I'd imagine. The manager sacking business has cost us enormously. Roman needs to either start giving out 1 year deals or setting small compensation clauses.
  11. All 3 of our goals were scored in stoppage time. U complacent, Barca?
  12. No offence intended Dylan, but fuck off with that. Anti football is a losers excuse. Never mind that Jose started this whole blaming of parking the bus business while with us, it is a losers excuse. Did the Persians complain to the media that the Spartans employed 'anti-war' tactics at Thermopylae? Did the ANZAC's say "Hold up, Johnny Turk, how about you be a good sport and come out of those trenches?" at Gallipolli? Did all those smaller teams who visited Stamford Bridge in the last 18 months do any different? Why don't we all just make the goals 3 times as high and twice as wide, ban defending, tackling and marking altogether then? Defending is an integral, vital, fuck it, an all-consuming part of football. And we still scored 2 goals. The game was pulsating from start to finish, even neutrals started cheering for us so stirring was our rearguard action. Not one person would have switched off their television because of how we played, hell, most probably turned it on after we made it 2-1. Every child who saw that game today saw a display of sheer willpower, of never saying die, of never giving up no matter what the odds; they saw a performance of defiance where a vastly inferior team both numerically and skill wise said "Fuck all that, we will go out there and give this our very best". How on earth can that be bad? We have given hope to the little man, the little club all around the world. They will look at this heroic performance and be inspired, such was the gulf in class between the two teams. It's a timely reminder that even the biggest of giants can be felled by the most unlikely, the shittest, of teams. It's a reminder of how romantic football can be, of poetic justice and all that is good in the world. For one glorious night, all of football will know; a small team from Fulham, reduced to 10 men and with only 1 recognised centre back, down 2-0, with a caretaker in the role of manager, somehow held on against the greatest team of its generation and probably better than most that preceded it; one with an absolute galaxy of superstars that would walk into any XI on the planet. Make no mistake, this was probably one of the best games in football for the last few years. It has been nearly 8 years since the whole world was reminded, never ever write off the little guy. It was overdue. As Machiavelli once said, the ends always justify the means. In this case, both the means and the end were just perfect.
  13. I have never in my life so utterly hated a football club. It consumes me. It's all I think about, how badly I hate them. (was referring to what RAWKites are more or less say about us) Fuck Liverpool. Team of the past, they'll never amount to anything in the future. That club is an absolute disgrace, the way they conduct themselves, the way they act like the world revolves around them, their senseless equation of History=Trophies. Offhand there are 6 clubs that have better "histories" than Liverpool- Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Inter aren't very far off either. So they're mediocre even by their own definition of history. What gives them the high ground then? Their famous atmosphere is rubbish as well, they only sing when they're winning. Finally, they discredit our own successes despite failing to notice that most of their trophies were bankrolled by wealthy owners who spent hundreds of thousands of pounds- comparable to the hundreds of millions we've spent in context to the time where they bought titles. What gives them the right to discredit what we've done when they did the same, except in a much more parasitic, talent hoarding way?
  14. It was always Anelkalouda, Mikel and Bosingwa for the bandwagon. Wonder who we'll blame now that 4 of those 5 look like heading for the exit, with one already having left.
  15. Anyway, if that was anti football, may every match in the future of football be played out exactly the same. Such entertainment, such compelling viewing, and so similar to that brilliant game back in 2010 when Inter did what we did.
  16. I agree with Kostas, he's been that good for years. Most people never valued the importance of keeping the ball safely so he was automatically a scapegoat.
  17. Spanish media have the 'anti-football' claws out
  18. As I was saying; Man United fans are much more friendly to us than most, if you remove JT from the equation: http://www.redcafe.n...chelsea-352333/ Most of them are genuinely happy for us. Can you imagine other clubs doing that?
  19. Bit harsh to call them murderers. They weren't the sole reason for Heysel/Hills'bro.
