I disagree. City winning the league would be a better outcome for us. For one thing, we won't have to worry about Jose going there, and hopefully the Sheikh gets ''Romanitis'' and decides that the squad needs no improvement at all since they've already won some trophies.

Nani was quality for about 6 months tbf. Then he fucked it all up when he did his shoulder practicing his backflips. Anyway Sturridge's ego and selfishness are excellent qualities in a striker. That ego will help him through rough periods and the selfishness should make him prolific. They are not desirable in any other position though, which is why he's got to adapt to being a winger, or we've got to accommodate for him, or he's shown the door. Another thing I've been thinking about is that Jose would never have permitted such behaviour. He'd have been whipped into shape by now, Danny, had someone put their foot down. I remember Villas-Boas shouting at him to track back and getting continually ignored, Jose would never have stood for that.

He's a real gentleman, he doesn't seem to care much about wages, bonuses or even appreciation. All he wants to do is play. As a man, he's a lot better than many players at this club.

I don't know if its worth spending 80m on Hulk. He's a quality player certainly, but Porto won't budge unless we match that clause and he's worth no more than half that.

He's got the potential to be a 20 goal a season player. He's just not cut out to be a winger though, we're playing him out of position.
