Essien could still fetch 10-15 if he shows some form in pre-season and we dress him up as "World class African midfielder whose completely recovered from injuries and has 3 years to run on his contract". Benayoun won't go for much more than 1-2 million.

Too bad they don't have that show "I'm on Setanta Sports" anymore
-
Oh, you don't get One HD at your place, I forgot. That usually has one live and one delayed Bundesliga and Serie A match per week, plus a weekly highlights package for both leagues. SBS should get funding from the FFA, though.

Don't cave in. Streams!!

That's a bit wank

That's all? 10 bucks a month, I think I can pay for that. One less pack of smokes a month and that will more than cover it. I always thought it was in the $40-50 region which would be beyond my unemployed means.
-
No you don't!!!

Better watch that kind of talk Justin. The mods are clamping down on off-topic, you know. Come by one time, I'll show you around So, after a quick search on google, he's turned Inter down? That leaves us in competition with Real Madrid only, right?

Liverpool, the only place in the world where you can find brothels and Dolce & Gabbana perfumes lying on the floor in perfect condition on the same street Anyway, isn't the Corriero (spelling?) a tabloid? I think I'll hop over to the Napoli forum and ask them what they think.

I think we need a new right back, unfortunately I don't think Hutch is up to it.

Meh. If United pay that for him they're overpaying, he's not worth 40 million. Incidentally, Levy is a massive arsehead for keeping him unhappy for another year, affecting his performances and decreasing their final transfer fee.

Not the best of results for the Socceroos in Oman overnight. A scoreless draw, but we could have done with a win, as the Japanese are likely to give us a hammering. Archie Thompson could have won the game for us and given us a vital 3 points that we're unlikely to pick up against the Japanese. Good performances from Schwarzer and Al-Habsi.

This "Match Highest Earner" clause is a disgrace. I hate the damn thing on FM, I can't imagine why anyone would fancy it a good idea in real life. Just slip the agent an extra 200k and all will be good.

If that happens we'll just get widespread rorting of the system, through under the table payments and non-monetary gifts. Honest owners, if any exist, (and lets face it, Roman is far from that) will be massively disadvantaged. It happened in rugby league in Australia, which seems to be far better administrated (NRL fans may correct me here) than football in terms of governing body corruption.

His contract runs out in one year. I'd bite their hands off at 12 or 13 million. We're not going to see proper money for him unless we give him a contract extension... perhaps then, factoring in the traditional English player overvaluation, we can get 25-30 million for him. I guess there's no case for selling him at this time. Perhaps, with a new contract, if things still aren't working out, we can sell him for that 25-30 million mark next June.

That's got to be an enormous humiliation for New Zealand. I wonder if Caledonian commentators took a leaf out of that Norwegian guy's book and started saying stuff like "Edmund Hillary, can you hear me? Wynton Rufer, can you hear me? We gave your boys one hell of a beating!" I hope they can hold up their heads at the Confederations Cup. Imagine the scenes if they get a result against Brazil or Spain

So... I guess.. according to you the greatest player of all time is Peter Osgood?

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

Not to mention that success was funded by relatively enormous injections of cash into the club. Celtic are the only club in the world of football that can claim that they didn't buy their trophies. -
Xavi's career will eventually look like chicken feed by the time Mourinho's done. To justify his arrogance compared to Jose's, will, at that point, be rather unfair. At this time you can get away with comparing the two, but the big issue here is that Xavi and his club colleagues are painted as saints, while Jose is the evil party pooper of football. And for what? Jose, for all his faults, doesn't go about saying things like "Ricardo was suffering at Chelsea", or proclaiming moral victory regardless of the result.

There is empirical evidence supporting me, that shows the vast regression in technical ability over the decades. Before the 2006 World Cup there was a documentary, part of which involved an experiment involving Hamburg first team players- including Rafael van der Vaart- doing some basic ball control tricks; first with modern equipment, then with historical. Needless to say, they were as incompetent with old equipment to the extent where you start to wonder if a below-average player from the 60s would have shown them a thing or two. By comparison, Diego Maradona mastered the Jabulani in about 30 seconds. I have no doubt that if it were possible to restore their physical prime and give them the same treatment from youth as today's stars, yesterdays heroes would comfortably outshine them.

Ha! I found an original Dolce & Gabbana perfume, in perfect packaging on the side of the road. It smells great Knowing Liverpool, it was probably stolen or something. The packaging looks to good to be fake, though.

Rivalry is a two way thing. Present this idea to Barca fans and they'll lol themselves to death. On a semi-related subject, here's Xavi showing the world what a classy gentleman he is:
