using the full squad is important, so far rdm has only shown faith to his go- to guys such as obi mikel and ramires. both players have been well below par since the beginning of the season. lampard is old, he needs to be rested and kept fresh. cech azpilicueta cahill terry cole mikel romeu hazard oscar moses sturridge subs: turnbull, ivanovic, luiz, ramires, lampard, mata, torres
-
you people are far too harsh on the manager that won us a double last year. disgusting really. yes he made mistakes but he is human and had we taken our chances we would have won comfortably. what i think we will see cech ivanovic cahill terry cole mikel lampard ramires mata hazard torres what i would want to see cech azpi cahill terry cole ramires lampard oscar mata hazard torres
-
berbatov is the united striker we should be looking at. he doesn't fit united's hit and run style of play but for sure with mata, oscar, hazard and co he will fight right in with our continental cosmopolitan style of football
-
no you don't. we did it with drogba alone and anelka playing mostly as rw. hulk is world class at rw and strike. he is the perfect solution.
-
if this deal happens, it will happen around deadline day. we will give it a real go. he is our first priority after the azpi deal is concluded. he would be the last piece to rdm's puzzle.
-
no, i would rather get dimitar for 5 million. would be the best buy of the summer!
-
mikel is by no means worse than de jong. he is far more composed on the ball. de jong is too aggresive. we have a youngster who is aggresive- romeu. i would like to see the team develop him into a starting cdm.
-
mikel is first choice regardless of what everyone here says, and if mikel is off form. did people forget about romeu and essien? de jong would not add anything at all to what we have.
-
he would be on the bench here, same scenario. although he would perhaps get atleast a little bit more game time. torres is first choice regardless. sturridge is second choice for the moment and our emergency striker will be moses who will play the kalou role of 06-12

this judas can stay away from chelsea.
-
sorry but not required. we have mikel, romeu and essien. that's more than enough..
-
the way i see it right mid- ramires, marin attacking mid- mata, oscar, piazon left mid- hazard, moses striker- torres, sturridge for the front four you've got 9 different options and all 9 of them have their own qualities. some of them world class, some of them good with great potential, some of them squad players. all in all, it's a quality amount of depth to have. also consider the fact that piazon and moses can play as emergency striker if ever needed (i certainly hope not) so it gives us options. i like the look of it. it has so much technical ability. let's see how we adjust it into our style of play.
-
cant believe people complain about our CM's. lampard and mikel were awesome today for the majority until we had a player sent off. sure they're not as explosive as yaya toure. but they are very good within their own rights and ramires that guy is miles ahead of milner. our squad needs a right back and back up striker. we are good to go.

cavani plays in the right of a 3 4 3, i wonder how chelsea would use him if that's the case. we could try a brazil style 4 2 2 2, or try cavani/torres on the right of an attacking 4 2 3 1 or a diamond with mata as a center midfield player and hazard in the 'hole'
-
its BS but this could be true.
-
he is just world class. love watching edinson. cavani and torres dayuuuuuum
-
but why are we after players like moses? the faith rdm has on torres and sturridge must be sky high and perhaps he even likes the look of piazon? who knows? another winger wouldn't hurt though especially a fast one that goes wide.
-
we as a team have never prioritized strikers. i mean i see city and united. those teams have 4 strikers. they focus on the front '2' a lot more. we are obsessed with attacking mids and goal scoring mids ..still though i think we'll get a third striker. competent enough. lewandowski would be a luxury, a good one but not required at this point (unless torres fails big time and so does sturridge)
-
kind of overrated.
-
good player, overrated. united already have good players in the winger position. just adding more elements. the good thing is that they are going to stick with scholes, giggs and carrick in CM
-
hulk is just a dream come true. for so many reasons. i understand if people are unimpressed or whatever with him in brazil but when you're aiming to win a league you need a hulk, he wins games on his own, he is consistent, works hard, has so much stamina, he is a huge threat and he is also a goal machine and can play 4 positions. all of this together, he would resolve our issues up front because if nothing works we stick him up top and he will score goals. but as it is, it's a dream and porto are making it impossible to get him with the price tags.
-
it's been confirmed that we will get 2 players this window. a right back and..a striker/winger.
-
schurlle has a good goal scoring record. didn't have the best season last year for leverkusen but he has quality. most importantly, he's not a direct threat to torres or sturridge as he can ply his trait on the wings. cordazo is a goal machine and so is doumbia. they will give us that extra option off the bench.
-
1.doumbia 2.schurle 2.cordazo get any one of those.

i'll further explain what i mean. for me it's so simple. we've spent the whole pre season absolutely doing nothing at all. just experimenting and getting the fitness back together. it was really a waste of a pre season. but that's done we can only look to the future..the way i see it the elements are there for one formation and one formation only the 4 2 3 1 or defensively a 4 4 1 1 depending on the quality of opposition and where the game is being played. the outcome of the game in the attacking sense will be decided by the '3' in the 4 2 3 1. the 3 are to be any of the following and no one else- hazard, mata, oscar, marin, ramires, piazon, benayoun/ malouda. the '2' will be focused on solidity in midfield and keeping things mostly simple with one being a little more advanced then the other. this position will be contested by mikel, lampard, romeu, essien and mereiles. and lastly and ultimately the position that could decide the outcome of our season. the striker. the '1'. torres, sturridge and lukaku, possibly a new player depending on the market. i firmly believe that torres and sturridge will score the buckload if we play a 4 2 3 1 because they are both good at getting behind the defense and running the channels. none of them are particularly comfortable in a 4 3 3 where they are supported by two wide forwards and this is why the 4 3 3 should be scrapped and forgotten about. we saw today that torres actually played well but as usual he played almost as a providor because he had to drop deep and almost act as a false nine which just doesnt suit him. it suited drogba but drogba is completely different. ultimately, we are heading in a new direction. i see the talent available to us and it screams 4 2 3 1. tactically, it suits us. offensively, it's explosive and technically superlative. defensively, it can be an issue but that's why rdm is the coach. it will be his job to instill that tough mentality off the ball but going forward, this has to be the way.
