completely disagree. with maicon, we have enough defensive cover. with hulk, we are a complete team even without a deep lying playmaker. we have enough players competing for every position if we get those two cech ivanovic cahill terry cole mikel lampard hulk mata hazard torres turnbull maicon ferreira luiz bertrand essien mereiles ramires sturridge marin lukaku benayoun, de bruyne, romeu, mceachran not even used easily good enough to challenge for trophies
-
as bad as we were, it had a lot to do with management. clearly this team at it's current stage is good enough for top 4. we are pretty much a right back, a world class forward away from title challenge. maicon and hulk away from competing for the title.
-
that maybe the case, but we can't bank on potential for trophies. he is not good enough for the first team at the moment. we already have so much young talent that needs another year to go that extra level. we cannot have so many players who are 'the next big thing'- we need a 'big thing' incase torres goes missing. we need hulk.
-
can someone explain why we are after moses? we have enough wingers. we need either a back up striker or a world class forward like hulk who can play as a striker if needed. we don't need moses no matter how much potential he has. we already have de bruyne and marin for potential players.
-
it would be totally bizarre if he chose tottenham. first of all spurs are not a step up from porto. they will play in the competition where porto usually play and their team without modric and adebayor doesn't particularly look that good. what a strange transfer rumour.
-
what kind of joke is this? fuucking spuds trying to compete with us for players? LOOOOL just wrap this deal up now ffs. we DESPERATELY need a forward. moses is NOT good enough. we are chelsea ffs not west brom.
-
hazard, marin, de bruyne ....maicon, hulk, moses more than enough for me.
-
walcott is more proven then moses. he has a year left. a 10 million deal for walcott makes a heck lot more sense then moses. wouldn't mind walcott if we don't get hulk. he's good enough to be a super sub and challenge for a first team place if a player is off form.
-
why are we after him honestly? he is not good enough. he seems distinctly average. he seems more like aston villa quality.
-
a needless transfer. with the potential transfer of hulk, this signing is completely unnecessary. just how many wingers do we need? we already got what? 5?
-
modric is world class. he is comparable to xavi and pirlo. sahin is a playmaker but he's not nearly as good particularly when on the ball.
-
if modric prefers real madrid, then nuri sahin is ideal for us. first of all he is a double pivot. we play a 4 2 3 1, we have mikel/essien/romeu as a screen and either one of lampard/sahin as the deep lying playmakers. then in the advanced positions- ramires, mata, hazard, marin, benayoun, debruyne, malouda to play ahead supporting torres/sturridge/lukaku win win situation.
-
modric NOW if not then nuri sahin NOW
-
it would be foolish to not buy hulk for 30-35 million. yes it's a lot of money but the talent he has is simply..breath taking. he is an ultimate right wing forward. plus, he's brazilian and he would be sharing flanks with ramires..their communication will be priceless, he would feed off lampard and mata's passes and would also make it easier for torres to score. ultimate player. we should try and get him asap. a far better bet then hazard imo.

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich
Rahul Haque replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Champions Archive
o and we are def going to play counter attack, i think our team can be very fast on the break..ramires is a huge miss because he would have destroyed bayern but i still think that we can counter attack with kalou, mata and drogba..using malouda as an outside left for crosses. i think malouda's job is going to be stopping robben and passing to more creative players. i dont take too much of today into the final because obviously bayern are at home, but one thing i will take is the way they play which is from the back might suit us given that we are a counter attacking team. -

we need our CB's fit or atleast one to be fit given that it's likely that luiz is fit..id play cech bosingwa mikel luiz cole essien lampard kalou mata malouda drogba -
this is a big match to be honest, it doesn't seem like it but it is. in my opinion, far bigger then the fa cup final but no doubt we will have an eye on that final. we need to start our strongest outfit, perhaps resting one or two important players but still with respect to the toon, we need to put out a team that can beat them cech bosingwa ivanovic terry bertrand romeu mikel ramires mata sturridge torres

have you even read the articles regarding the sack? roman said that 'there will be a lot of changes in the summer' which means younger, ambitious players will come in while i'm guessing terry and lampard will rightfully stay and when you keep refering to players as being overpaid- don't forget so is avb, roman spent a lot of money on him and he's returned nothing in favor. all of this in total favors mourinho's plan because he has stated that he wants to come back to england, and he was here in london earlier in the week too. and have you ever thought that maybe it's not the players this time. it's the inexperience, the lack of control, the raw and befuddled manager that avb is right now who's at fault. the players are playing horribly don't get me wrong but there are so amny tactical decisions that avb gets wrong and he is the manager, the be all and end all of a football team. he got what has been coming for a while. i wish him the best of luck, but never will turn my back on lampard for answering a question in a post match interview.
-
how on earth is it lampard's fault that the manager is gone? the guy has dropped lampard in favor of mereiles and co whp didn't get the job done. it's a result business and avb simply didn't cut it. think before you speak, the shit here being said about lampard, the main man of our team for 11 years. playing through injuries, giving it his all. and you know what? the fans lost? the fans lost one fucking terrific manager didn't they. i swear if jose comes back you guys will be jumping and cheering like there is no tomrorow..like the sacking didnt mean anything.
-
you are not a true chelsea fan. seriously. fuckin plastic.
-
lampard has never under any other manager complained or showed dis interest. this season he has been dropped considerably in favor or raul mereiles who himself has proven that he is no replacement for lampard. lampard when asked in the post match answered with honesty. he also said 'im realistic, im 33 and wont play every match but when im on the bench i want chelsea to win and that hasnt been the case' and btw lampard didn't win us a 'few trophies' the guy's been the man in all our league, fa cup, league cup triumphs. he is a bigger legend then terry and drogba for his service. just because the media is picking out lampard as escape goat doesn't mean he is the culprit. even if he is, what does that prove? what's he done? has he phoned roman and asked for avb's head? i doubt not. everybody wants continuity under the right manager. avb was clearly inexperienced and out of his depth. if he came when he was 40, then it's a different story. for now, it has to be someone like jose mourinho, guus hiddink or even van ghaal.
-
those who doubt frank lampard should seriously look in the mirror. what i've read here about lampard makes me sick to my stomach. let me tell you this, lampard will be as big a legend as john terry in the heart of any chelsea fan. why on earth didn't you people show this passion that you have for villas goas when ancelotti was in charge? that was a proper world class manager. this whole 'project' of avb has been a mess from the start and he simply didn't help himself. he didn't know how to deal with senior players. the amount of crazy things he kept saying to the media regarding his own players. 'kalou and malouda' or of the past 'sturridge and mata' are the part of the future..then stuff like 'lampard wants to break recrods, thats great for him'.. clearly doing this sort of th ing has created a division between him and him team. he was too young for the job and the fact that he got sacked is good FOR him. the guy was stressed out of his mind, shook every match and couldn't get the best (nowhere near) out of his players and that's also largely due to the tactical set up with the highline.
-
for me now torres is the first choice striker in our team
-
did everything right in the last 3 games apart from score. he gives us a real sense of urgency and pace in attack. i've been hugely critical of ramires but this guy is kicking my ass and proving me wrong, and that's brilliant. if he can utilise his brilliant pace and running ability we can use him. either in the midfield or on the flanks.
