I don't think it's that easy since the mullah are allied with Russia, and turkey. I don't think the locals stand a chance. Unfortunately the people of Iran will continue to be oppressed by this regime as they get more powerful with their allies.

Let's get a bidding war with inter and juventus.

We need a striker simple as that. Because Tammy has done good but we have no one to change for him. As well a lb since we are playing azpi there. I think that should be priorities right now!

Was surprised with his contribution today when he came on. Was very poor for someone that has been the most important player of the season for us....

Hodgson admits Crystal Palace would consider ‘serious bid’ for Wilfried Zaha Roy Hodgson has reiterated Wilfried Zaha is not for sale but conceded the Crystal Palace hierarchy would have to consider serious offers for their prized asset in January. Zaha, who submitted a transfer request in the summer amid interest from Arsenal and Everton, is among Chelsea’s primary transfer targets next month. Palace are loth to lose the forward and Hodgson is determined to strengthen his squad when the transfer window reopens on Wednesday. Zaha’s contract runs to the 2023 season and Palace, who have set his asking price at £80m, are adamant they will not listen to offers below their valuation. Asked whether he has had any assurances that the 27-year-old will not be sold in January, Hodgson replied: “Well, Wilf is not for sale, so basically I don’t need assurances. We aren’t trying to sell Wilfried Zaha, we want to keep Wilfried Zaha. I have the assurance there is no one in the club that wants to sell Wilfried Zaha, but of course you never know where bids are going to come from and I suppose every time there is a serious bid for one of your players the board of directors needs to take it seriously. “It’s certainly not something we’re looking for and, by the same token, everyone at the club is aware we need strengthening, we need some help in terms of our group of players because there are certain areas we don’t have the cover or competition we need. “And I believe they will be trying to help put that right too, but if you say, ‘have you got assurances?’ Well you can’t get assurances unfortunately, you can only get people agreeing with you that this is what needs to be done and this should be the next step for us going forward. And then hope that it leads to some players coming through the door that you want, that will make your squad stronger, increase the competition and, most importantly, perhaps prevent us finding ourselves in the current situation.” Palace, who are determined to add four or five new players in January owing to injuries to seven first-team players, have identified Burnley’s Dwight McNeil and Brentford’s Ollie Watkins as potential replacements for Zaha. Palace, who drew 1-1 at Southampton on Saturday, visit Norwich City on Wednesday. “We’ll have a lot of respect for Norwich and the way they play,” Hodgson said. “They find themselves at the wrong end of the table but I have seen on many occasions watching them play that their passing quality and movement is better than many other teams above them in the league.” https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/dec/31/roy-hodgson-crystal-palace-serious-bid-wilfried-zaha It's coming we are going to get him. But let's not blow 80 million on him, please. Give them Bats and 40 million if we are big on him.....

Reminds me of LaFawnduh and Napoleon Dynamite brother.

Yeah biggest mistake of the decade. But it's good that it happen because it remove the shadow of Mourinho. Before, no manager was able to measure to Mourinho. I remember when we had Carlo and other manager it was always compare to Mourinho by many fans. No one was able to measure. So in a good sense it's good that happen so we can move on from that.

It does not, but question is in January transfer window is Dembele an upgrade to Giroud and Bats? Because I feel like not just Giroud will leave but also Bats. So we need an upgrade asap.

Perfect scenario for Dortmund. Cash in on Sancho and get back Aubameyang. Lets' see if anything comes about.

Second time I noticed rudgier screaming at kepa. I don't know if that's good or bad....

Screwed up again and start with the back 5 that he needs to change plan? Not good.

I agree it's what I noticed, early season the plaudits where on the jorgi and kova parternership. But ever since kante came back that has brought disharmony in that mid pair. I also think that jorgi has a dip in form similar to last year and picking up late half of the season. So I do see this as a big concern for me, and I don't know what Lampard will do regarding his midfielder problems. I'm starting to lean on the @Vesper camp in which selling kante this summer might be a good idea. Since we are moving away from that style of play that is suited for him and his age it might be best to cash in.

I call it the Malouda effect. Where you play an awesome game once in a while, before going back to being average.
-
We stuggles because we are losing. It becomes harder. The players lose motivation. So yest best to spend money in jan to upgrade the defense. If we can sell Alonso and get Telles, i'll take it. That's an upgrade and Alson sell will offset the cost of Telles Telles and Emerson are good for now, and in the summer sell Emerson and get Gaya or Chilwell. For CB easy option is Ake and sell AC as AC might offset the cost of buying Ake. In the summer sell Zouma and go for the Gimenez, Konate, Romagnoli etc etc.
-
Guy is 27 and don't know if he will adjust. I much rather spend more on someone like Gaya, But yest Chilwell continues to be number 1 for me, next to Gaya.
-
Knee jerk reaction guy. Makes decision after only game.... It would be the same for any other player we want, they will have one bad game, like Gaya and Grimaldo and anyone else. It will never be perfect.
-
Liverpool first team since Arsenal that might go unbeaten. Kloop has done an amazing job. Much more better then Pep for me.
-
After nearly two seasons and buying some players. Your comparing that to a coach that has not gotten any buys and is using youth.....
-
Agreed I think with the offense we have, we should be able to at least grind out a 1 nill here and there. But can only be done once the team has confidence that they have a monstrous defense that will hold them through the entire game. I much rather waste all of our 150 million in trying to fix the defense then anything else.
-
^agreed that is why I'm not mad at how the season has gone. If anything I'm pleasently surprise since I expected us to be 7 to 10th place. For me it shows Lampard is a really good manager despite the run that we are in. He is making some rookie mistakes like today using the 3 at the back but he so far has exceeded my expectation. And just like United is backing Ole, we will back Lampard, as Lamps is way better then Ole.
-
Lad is young, your just a knee jerk reaction guy. Lad needs play time away from here, like Tammy and Mount did. He will be back, but not this season.
-
Well he is of no use right now and sitting here will not help his career. For the better of his career send him out on loan. I think the Saints will take a shot at him, or some other clubs. And then just buy a new winger with Cho and Pedro out.
-
It's not him but many managers. As of late Conte and Sarri we always start good and fall apart this time. It's not the coach but the players. We need to improve the defense before we can go anywhere because that's been the problem since Conte and does not get resolved because we spend all energy on sacking and getting a new coach. By the time the new coach knows who he wants and who wants to sell he is gone and we keep the same players. Good thing is that this time the board will keep Lampard and back him in the transfer window. Just like united are doing with Ole.
