  1. Mauricio Pochettino: I'd love a Premier League return Former Tottenham manager speaks of his desire to return to coaching in England and his legacy at White Hart Lane https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/11931666/mauricio-pochettino-id-love-a-premier-league-return Think United would suit him good. I'm surprise United have not let go of Ole and gone after him already!
  2. "It's clear we wanted to bring players in, I certainly wanted to bring players in. "I think I made that pretty clear over the last few weeks and it hasn't happened." https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/11922537/olivier-giroud-chelsea-forward-to-remain-at-stamford-bridge-according-to-frank-lampard
  3. No way, I had enough of stop gap and big wages. We stick with what we got. It's the best thing. If you can't get your players don't buy no more. That's why our team is so mediocre.
  4. No transfer in summer and January window. I don't think no manager would have done better then him. Has done amazing and because of that he will continue in the next season. And not only that we will go for good players, no longer dead wood. Excited about the new season.
  5. Good I'm glad we didn't buy stop gap. We done that for many seasons. Seems like the club is learning!
  6. Richarlison: Everton reject Barcelona's £85m offer https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11671/11921012/richarlison-everton-reject-barcelonas-85m-offer Wow that's a lot.
  7. United dropping points today. As it told you, shades of Benitez season where we will finish top 4 because the others around us are so bad.
  8. It works on any position but Keeper. We can spend big money on striker and winger and still be able to recoup a fee. Goalkeeper is a whole different thing.
  9. I think that midfield will get rip apart by Bayern. But it should be used against the smaller team that park the bus.
  10. It could be true but now that this has happened I bet you that the board will now continue with it. After the financial loss that we had they might be more inclined to continue with Lampard if he continues with the youth and if in the second season he improves.
  11. Benitez season is all i can tell you. Go and see that season and you will see that the same thing is happening. You will ask how the heck we finish 3rd? Because everyone else is bad.
  12. We are so bad when we think about Alonso is better. Anyhow we have spent so much money over the years for this position and we continue to hurt. That is a travesty.
  13. Yeah not top striker for our future ambition however he has shown enough to be second striker. Second striker with us will get a lot of games and minutes. Think about the many times we have to rely on bats and rotate him with? So a top striker and Tammy as a secondary and we are set. Would love werner but it seems hard with Liverpool going for him. So have to rely on dembele it would seem....
  14. I still remember how city was very inconsistent the first season with pep. Many people thought he was not going to make it but he got in the summer the funds to address the problems, defense and goalkeeper. Klopp he came in the season that Mourinho got sacked with us. Was very inconsistent as well, remember them getting owned by Sevilla in the final. So yes the first year are not good for anyone, hence the comments. Usually you should judge by the second season. Not much the first.
  15. He's the best for what we trying to do in the coming seasons. He is building a base to work with in the next season.I do expect us to be better next season. But if next season we don't improve and regress then I will jump in the direction of sack. But for now and next season he is the best for the job and is unsackable.
  16. That's why Lampard is staying. The club wants to build with one manager. Because we are not progressing, we just get rid of managers and the team gets worse and worse. Thank God the club is more patient than in the past.
  17. Well that was the goal majority of the fans and pundit put us at the beginning of the season. So I say we are doing above expectations.
  18. No we will not, the same thing is happening when we had Benitez. We was transition with him and it was horrible at times but there was some progress in the way we wanted to go. We then screw that up by taking Benitez out and getting Mourinho that sold our best youth. So no way we will do the same. Lampard is the best and we will continue with him. We will finish top 4 no problem.
  19. No we can't, his the best we got because the board and owner wanted youth. We will be continue with him no matter what. And I call this, this will be a Benitez season. We will finish in top 4 and we will be scratching our head how the heck we did that.
  20. I think 7th was the expected level for us. So it would not change anything. However I do see this season similar to Benitez season where we finish 3rd because everyone else was so bad. Likewise, here we will finish top 4 just because everyone around us is bad.
  21. He's not going to get sacked. Your mad to believe that is going to happen. The board are happy with him and will continue with him.
  22. He's done good for us. Helped us a lot. Still we have no one to turn when he's not firing or need replacement. Is a travesty we still have to rely on bats. But I blame it on the board constant change of managers. With Conte we went from lukaku to morata, then with Sarri to higuain. It does not help when we need to get what the manager wants and then he's not here in 6 months.
  23. It's hard with Jorginho and kante in the middle. They just don't work well. Midfield is the problem of all these imbalances we have.
  24. Our team is very mediocre when he's the best winger we have. And yet people want to sack the manager and we continue to go downhill in player quality after every manager sacking.
  25. Same was said of Sarri. Now his team is in first in the league of Italy. I think the team sucks just that. Because it's same issue since Mourinho. We always do bad around this time, with Mourinho, Conte, Sarri and now Lampard. So it's not the managers but the mediocre players we have. Any new manager we get it will be the same just like Sarri and others. Do good at the beginning and then fade away during these times.
