Yeah no creativity from Mourinho team. He always needed a big time striker to bail him out. Ibra right now is what Drogba used to be. But it's clear that Pep has a game plan for city and it's slowly coming to effect. Thank god we also have a man that has a game plan for us as opposed to what we had.

I really dislike Mourinho a lot now for selling De Bruyne.
-
Giving pains to Mourinho for selling him. Well as long as he do it against United and not us, I will be happy.
-
I don't think this game to be any good. You rarely get good tactical game this early season since players getting used to the new manager philosophy. Might be a boring tie.
-
Ultra defensive. Replace Matic with Fabregas at least.

Is not much the way the club is running but how uplifting it's to hear that Conte had the say on Tammy. If this is true, then it shows the club has been backing the managers and giving them the decision to majority of the comings in and out.

But that didn't stop Barcelona last time.

I think this is very interesting, check it out: Chelsea have list of English clubs the club 'would not do business with' Chelsea refuse to loan players to some English clubs after broken promises over first-team action, Bristol City chief operating officer Mark Ashton has claimed. Tammy Abraham, 18, joined City on a season-long loan at the beginning of August and he has made an immediate impact at Championship level, scoring five goals in his first seven appearances in all competitions. He is among 38 players that Chelsea have sent out on loan this season, of which 19 are currently registered with clubs in the English football pyramid. But Ashton says that the Blues' hierarchy took some convincing before allowing one of their most prized academy prospects to join his club, having been stung by previous agreements where English clubs failed to live up to their promises of giving on-loan youngsters regular first team experience. "At the end of last season, Lee [Johnson, Bristol City manager] went to Chelsea's training ground and presented to [technical director] Michael Emenalo, while I went to Stamford Bridge and met Roman Abramovich's board of directors," Ashton told the Bristol Post. "They had tried these arrangements with English clubs before and, in their words, they hadn't worked. They gave me a list of clubs they would not do business with. "I asked them to give us Tammy for the season and then judge us on what we do, not what we say. I told them we would show them what we could do and then build a long-term relationship. "We then did the deal with Chelsea and sorted all of the finances, which were far from straightforward. Then we had to wait for [new Chelsea head coach Antonio] Conte." Ashton says that the deal was almost scuppered when Conte arrived at Cobham and took an instant liking to the young striker during preseason. "We had an agreement with Chelsea that, if Tammy came out on loan, it would be to Bristol City," Ashton added. "We had that one in the drawer by the end of June. "We then brought Tammy and his family in, gave them a tour of Bristol and of the training ground and showed him where he would be living. But Chelsea had to delay, because Conte was coming in. Once he was in, he made it very clear that he liked Tammy Abraham. "When Tammy went from the Euros [European Under-19 Championship] straight to the U.S. on tour with Chelsea, the feedback we got from Chelsea's directors was that Conte was keen on him. At that stage, we were thinking he might keep him in and not allow us to take him. "We kept pushing and the player, his family and his representatives kept pushing. Tammy knew that, if he stayed at Chelsea, his game time would be limited. He wanted to come here and play. "Eventually, I got an email from Chelsea's board saying Conte had agreed to Tammy coming to us. We already had a deal agreed with Chelsea, so Tammy flew straight to Bristol from the U.S. and we did it all the next day." Abraham, who joined Chelsea's academy at under-8 level and has won two UEFA Youth League titles and two FA Youth Cups in the last two seasons, is regarded as one of the club's brightest homegrown prospects and signed a new contract last October that keeps him at Stamford Bridge until June 2019. http://www.espnfc.us/story/2945800/chelsea-have-list-of-english-clubs-the-club-would-not-do-business-with

You can get more depressing reading this from the fan: Chelsea want to pay a lot of money for Marcos Alonso I am so confused by everything which is contained in this model that we call the universe that I think I need to go lie down for a little while. We're all familiar with Marcos Alonso. A few of us tolerate him. Many of us hate him. Most of us think he's, eh, just fine. As a versatile defender who has some very obvious strengths and even more obvious weaknesses, he's the definition of a capable but forgettable squad player: occasional brilliance, occasional catastrophe, and a persistent failure to capture the hearts and minds of the fanbase. In short, he's not the sort of player you expect a mega-rich team to make a mega-rich bid for. And yet, here we are. No, dear reader, it's not a fever dream. According to various media outlets in Italy and the UK, Chelsea have made a β¬25 million bid for Marcos #*&%ing Alonso. In fairness, Chelsea don't really have any leftbacks on the roster--Cesar Azpilicueta can fill in there, but that's pretty much it--and this late in the window, one has to make a big offer to pry a decent player away from a club. Alonso is also familiar with the Premier League after excelling for Bolton, and he is very handsome, but paying β¬25 million for him seems like a Bebe-level exercise in absurdity. Oh, and while we're speaking of absurdity, here's another fun little nugget: Fiorentina may not let him go. That's right, a player who's routinely exposed in defense and can look helpless going forward apparently isn't worth approximately 0.9 Miralem Pjanices. Sure, it'd be tough to find a quality replacement this late in the window, and unproven veteran Hrvoje Milic is the only other leftback on the roster, but holding out for β¬30 million (the number Corvino's reportedly angling for) takes a heap of chutzpah. Sure, he looks this good in a highlight video, but, c'mon, it's Marcos. For the record, Alonso has made 85 appearances for Fiorentina, notching 5 goals, 7 assists, 17 yellow cards, and a red card. 4 of those goals and 3 of those assists came last season, which was his finest in purple. As a hardworking, functional player who's a genuine threat at set pieces, you can see why Chelsea might want him and why the Viola would want to keep him. But when you look at the numbers being thrown around, this becomes less of a transfer rumor and more of a Samuel Beckett gag. http://www.violanation.com/fiorentina-transfer-rumors-news-reports/2016/8/29/12685468/chelsea-want-to-pay-a-lot-of-money-for-marcos-alonso

Sounds like the opinions people have of Oscar....
-
I think United will get him now, just like we was after Stones last season and City got him this. It would make sense that we could not get him and then he goes to a rival...
-
Yeah that is what most PSG fans are saying. It seems we wasted money for nothing on DL and Alonso. Should have just stayed with what we got because what we bought aren't any better then what we got.
-
We just took too long because after juventus went for HiguaΓn, this move was never happening. As well with radja at Roma. Once Roma got pjanic it was too late.
-
I think we should have also gotten the guy that scouted Kante for Leicester. If he can spot talent like the then he's worth more. Pity he went to Everton....
-
The psg supporters are happy that he was sold Marquinhos to get PSG chance with Unai Emery right to sell David Luiz http://espnfc.com/club/paris-saint-germain/160/blog/post/2941931/marquinhos-to-get-psg-chance-with-unai-emery-right-to-sell-david-luiz So we bought two rejects in David luiz and Alonso as the fiorentina fans are also happy he was sold......
-
Yeah him and Simeone are what Mourinho used to be over a decade ago. Now Mourinho even though not bad still a shadow of that former self. I guess the only thing to realize here is that personality of such intense style can wear down the person over the years. It's like coaches have a life span that of players.....
-
Not a pappy or Hector at least.....
-
Good move that for Spurs. But it was good that we didn't went because Kante and sissoko was not a great parternship for France. Don't think that would have worked for us as well. Best just stay with matic and Oscar for now and then see what we can get later.
-
I don't think he's any better then Ivanovic......
-
Are you guys even shock? When you have a board like ours what good can you expect?
-
I think that's the general consensus from most Fiorentina fans I have heard.
