I think Rooney might be their Ivanovic. No matter how crappy he is Mourinho will never drop him. 😂
-
Think might be the system. United right now are just like us, no creativity. Well they got Mata in now, but it seems like us. They don't want to start with Mata and us without Fabregas.
-
Well that's my original point, even if we have the team to be attacking Conte is not in the class of pep and klopp. We will not be that attacking. It seems like Conte is more like simeone. Have some attacking skills but more of a balanced side. I doubt we will see insane attacking like with Liverpool or city. And we just need to see how that balanced team comes about late down the season. Remember he said he wanted to play matic, Oscar and Kante for balance. He is not talking about attacking here....
-
The whole point is that he needs time. Now klopp is different because he's more attacking. Conte juventus was nowhere like the, so they are different in class in that style. But the point is still that it took klopp about a season to implement his style. We will wait for the same for conte. After that then we can judge better.
-
Those who where calling Klopp better then Conte you fail to realize that last season Klopp wasn't that good either at the beginning. Took nearly a season for Klopp to get his idea into the team. I expect the same with Conte, I figure that by February/March we will start seeing the real deal. Right now too early, and do hope that the club backs him in the January transfer window.

Good I hope they continue their crap. Better for us since we will competing for a champion league place with them.
-
They are setting up like us, no creativity in the midfield.

Kevin De Bruyne's form an embarrassment for Jose Mourinho and Chelsea, says Sunday Supplement panel Kevin De Bruyne's superb form for Manchester City is an "embarrassment and a nightmare" for both Jose Mourinho and Chelsea, according to the Sunday Supplement panel. Chelsea, under Mourinho, sold the Belgium international for £18m to Wolfsburg in January 2014 with De Bruyne having made only eight appearances for the Blues. But after being named German Footballer of the Year in his first full season at the Volkswagen Arena, City brought him back to the Premier League for a club record fee of £54.5m in the summer of 2015. Last season, De Bruyne scored 16 goals in all competitions for City in a campaign blighted by injury but it's his form under new boss Pep Guardiola, who said the Belgian is on a level behind only Lionel Messi after he starred in Saturday's 4-0 win over Bournemouth, that has taken all the headlines so far this term. And the Daily Telegraph's Matt Law thinks De Bruyne's Chelsea departure shows some of the flaws in Mourinho's management style. "It's a nightmare for Chelsea," Law told the Sunday Supplement. "He made eight appearances for Chelsea, not starts just appearances. "It's an embarrassing situation for Chelsea but I think it does lay at Mourinho's door. It shows his flaw with young players and managing situations in that he couldn't manage the situation to a point where he could show De Bruyne that there could be a place for him in that team. "Mourinho claims that he told the board he wanted to keep him and did not want to sell him, but the lad himself had decided he needed to play and that he wanted to go. He made it clear there was no stopping him. "He [Mourinho] questioned his mentality once he'd gone and said he didn't want to fight for a place, he just wanted to be given a place and that's been made a mockery of since. "When he did play in his few appearances for Chelsea he was stuck out on the wing. He was a young kid and his physique wasn't quite what it is now, but since it has been shown he's far better centrally. Law added: "If you think as well, Mourinho was hailed at the time for that bit of business by some of us because he got rid of De Bruyne and with that money he brought in Nemanja Matic and the next season they won the league. That was seen as a key deal that one player out to get Matic in but long term it's an absolute disaster. "It must be awful for them watching what he's doing now and I just can't ever seeing Mourinho trusting to play a player like De Bruyne in the centre. He would now that he's proven but I don't think he would ever have trusted him as a kid to play in the centre in the role he really wanted to." De Bruyne has started the season in sparkling form, helping City, who sit top of the Premier League table, to five wins from their opening five games under Guardiola. The 25-year-old has scored two league goals and grabbed three assists playing in a central role under Guardiola and Law thinks the Spaniard has had a plan for De Bruyne for a while. "I'm pretty certain Guardiola had an input into his signing even though it was some time before the Spaniard officially came in," Law said. "I know people at City aren't going to be delighted with me saying that or people at Bayern Munich but I'm convinced that Guardiola had a say. "Looking at the way he's used him and the way he's hailed him, it looks like he's had a plan for him for a while." The Times' Oliver Kay also called the De Bruyne situation uncomfortable for both Chelsea and Mourinho, while the Daily Star's Jeremy Cross signalled former City boss Manuel Pellegrini out for praise after he signed the player from Wolfsburg. "It is embarrassing," Kay said. "It's embarrassing for Mourinho, it's embarrassing for Chelsea. I suppose if he was at any other club Chelsea could think of buying him back for three times more than they sold him for and do their usual buy-back policy. It's an uncomfortable situation for the club." And Cross told the Supplement: "Full credit to Pellegrini for signing him. They spent a lot of money on him but he saw in the player what Mourinho missed." http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/10583414/kevin-de-bruynes-form-an-embarrassment-for-jose-mourinho-and-chelsea-says-sunday-supplement-panel Like some people have said, had Mourinho gotten Messi when he was young he would have never made it with him....

Yeah won as in the past. And in the past capello, Benitez and such was good. But now they are past it.
-
Part of me is a bit relieved that all this happened under Mourinho. Because for many years no one can do better. The big shadow of Mourinho at the club was a bad thing for everyone. But after his second spell everything fell apart and now the club no longer has that shadow lingering around. Now it's more like as long as you don't do bad as Mourinho last season then you should be okay. With Mourinho we went from the sublime to the ridiculous. One extreme to another.
-
To me he was more like Gerrard, this is why I thought Liverpool would have tried to get kdb as a replacement of Gerrard. Oh well better at city then Liverpool.
-
Yeah he will leave this summer because the board are no longer showing ambition. I don't blame him. Despite not appearing last game I still like him and is a great player. But can't get the best with such crap the board keep buying us. He would have been better at City right now with Pep, KDB, and Kun.
-
And who do we have? I tell you that if this stupid board sack Conte for their failings then I will lose all hope in the club and expect us to go downhill from here on. Because you can't expect to get better results doing the same mistakes over and over again. Then I would just have to settle perpetually for mediocrity because that is what we will get from those that run the club.
-
Pretty much is the problem of the board. They have people that run the club better then ours. I don't know why Roman does not do a shakeup as well. For a second season in a role the club does a very poor job in the transfer window, yet they keep their job. I will admit that hiring Mourinho was a major problem that set us back as you can see. But they got rid of him and that's a start, but the making decision must also be restructured. Just like what happen at Juventus as well, they restructure their board and they are reaping the rewards. I thought they had learned their lesson from last season but they go and make the same mistakes this summer. It's not good, but hey they will put all the blame of the manager sack him and they continue there.
-
KDB was never giving chance by your favorite manager.... So the point is that managers like Mourinho and Conte don't give chances to young players. And tell me, are players that we have that worse then Ivanovic? If they are worse then Ivanovic then yes you are right, our academy is crap. But if it ain't, then it's the problem of manager like Mourinho and Conte that don't give chances but just buy ready made players. And we also are wasting money on mediocre players. 23 million for Alonso and 34 for David Luiz is absurd.
-
Yeah well at least this continues to prove that sacking Mourinho was the right decision. That guy totally put us back, but it's okay as Conte is a step up to him. But Conte ain't in the class of Pep or Klopp but that's okay because we are no longer in a position to demand the best. We will need to go the way of Arsenal and accept mediocrity since that's what the board is doing with all these transfers....
-
Actually all those hating on Pep and calling him a fraud are eating their words right now. Continues to prove why he is the best in the world. And simple as fact that we wanted Pep and when he didn't came we went for Mourinho. Which was all wrong since he left us completely devoid of creative talent we once had ready for Pep.
-
This is what was said about Baba last year and nothing. We just waste money on Alonso like we did with Baba. That's what the board likes to do, waste money on mediocre players.
-
The only thing I see is that most people are annoyed that he still uses the same lineup that Mourinho and Hiddink put out. And to be fair I'm not surprised. I said it from the beginning that people and the board want youth but they get managers that are not good for this... If you want youth, why go for Mourinho and Conte? These guys are not good for that, they need to spend good in the market to be competitive. Board didn't do that, so they should not expect much. If they do then the board are a bunch of fools.
-
Why you guys complaining about the players? We knew that last year but the board did nothing. Can't be that mad at Conte or the players. It's what the board left us with after another poor transfer window.
-
We always beat Arsenal, so that should be a no brainer. If we are having problems against Arsenal I'll be worried.
-
Yeah here: David Luiz not first choice at Chelsea, say Sky Sports pundits http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/10581200/david-luiz-not-first-choice-at-chelsea-say-sky-sports-pundits
-
It's a pity the board didn't get him Nainggolan and koulibaly. Instead we are stuck with a lot of crap players. I really hope the board are not delusional to expect a tittle challenge with these players?
-
Got to give it to him, he had a good game but my point still stands. The reason we are here is because we buy many mediocre players. If David Luiz is the best we can buy then don't expect us to challenge for anything. That being said, he is far better then Cahill, hopefully when Terry is fit he stars a long with him.
-
Not his fault that Mourinho, Hiddink and now Conte keeps picking him....
