  1. Not to mention we can always recall Essien from loan. Same with Josh. So relax guys.
  2. People need to calm down and look at this rationally. If we are selling Meireles then it's probably a decent price. We are also probably planning to start using Ramires in the pivots and use Romeu more too. Further more it may mean we are planning to use Oscar in there (we may even soon switch to 4-3-3). So that's 5 players for 2 spots until January. In January we may buy a CM/DM. If not we will continue on with what we have. Then next season we may again try to buy a player or at long last start incorporating Josh McEachran. I would prefer to sell Meireles next summer or January if we've replaced him adequately but the club surely knows what they're doing. They must have a rough plan to make do with what we have until January or next summer. People are forgetting this is a transition stage and we are still building our new team. That will mean quite a few departures. I do agree with you guys about the questionable timing of the proposed sale but let's not go batshit crazy just yet.
  3. No where near long enough a break for Mata. I would be tempted to give him the rest of the month off if I were RDM.
  4. The links have been confirmed and he is an admirer of ours. I hope we get him in January. Something to look forward to now If Torres still hasn't worked out by January use him in a Player plus cash deal for Falcao. It's perhaps the only way we'll get rid of Torres in return for something of good value.
  5. Their left back (Fabio) and right back (Bosingwa) are big weak links. Hazard and whoever plays on the other flank needs to destroy them. With the rumours Meireles is off it surely means Romeu and Ramires will be played in the pivots so I hope at least one of them will start.
  6. I hope we rout them. We need to bounce back. It's about time Oscar gets his first start. Of course he won't because that's how RDM rolls. He'll stick with Mikel and Lampard as well of course. Azpilicueta should get some minutes. As should Moses. Marin should start but again won't. Ramires or Bertrand will start on the right/left. I hope RDM proves me wrong and actually makes some changes. I would have perfered this lineup with Mata getting a break Cech Ivanovic Cahill Terry Cole Mikel Meireles Marin Oscar Hazard Torres
  7. It would be nice if the servers weren't overloaded every fucking 5 minutes.
  8. I don't think he'd get into Citys' or Uniteds'. If he did get into Uniteds', it would be barely. He is still a good CB but not great.
  9. I reeeeeeeaaaaaaally want this to happen. You can almost never have too many world class players. He would make us a lot better. €60 million release clause or not I think most people can see he will be worth it.
  10. That's sort of the point of a rest. No games or training i.e. a Vacation.
  11. Regardless of RDM preferring 4-2-3-1, the sign of a good manager is his ability to recognise the need for change. Our midfield is getting more and more exposed. The double pivots aren't working. As many have said 4-3-3 should be tried to counter act that. The best combination is Ramires, Oscar and Romeu/Mikel. Our midield will be much stronger this way.
  12. I can't see Ronaldo leaving Madrid any time soon. His transfer fee and wages would be too high.
  13. The commentators were talking about their Defensive coach having a big part in their Solidness. I don't know why we don't get some top class defensive coaches or ex Top class defenders to teach our back 4 how to defend better. Also anyone impressed with Joe Allen? He seems a class player. Reminds me of Oscar a bit.
  14. Liverpool will play a good, short passing and pressing game. They can play good football. However they are super light up front. Even lighter than us. Suarez won't get you a ton of goals. He's more of a support striker. I don't know where their goals will come from. Added to that, their squad is paper thin. Their bench was probably the best they could put out and it was pathetic. Compare it to ours (Oscar, Moses/Marin, Sturridge, Luiz/Cahill, Azpilicueta, Meireles, Hilario) and you feel a tiny bit sorry for those scum. Get an injury or two and they are screwed. They could always recall Carroll but an injury to their midfield or defence and they'd be struggling. Arsenal seem solid. Giroud however seems he's a safe bet to be the worst signing of the season. Appears really average. Cazorla seems like what Mata was before being burnt out/overplayed/tired. Top 4 will be mighty competitive and us just staying in the top 4 will be pretty difficult let alone a title challenge. I do however feel we have a better squad than the others. It's only our defence/defensive midfield area that's worrying. I think if we switched to 4-3-3 it would go a long way to improving those areas.
  15. Watching this game makes me wish we play 4-3-3. Such a great system.
  16. Yeah it's a shame. Seems like he has some class.
  17. Exactly what I was thinking. He is playing so similarly to Yaya Toure.
  18. It seems we were right letting Borini go...Sterling looks good. Giroud is pretty mediocre. Liverpool seem to have returned to the good passing/footballing team they once were. I think that's similar to what we're trying to play like. Anyone else impressed by Diaby? How much would he cost? lol Better then Mikel. Aggressive, good distribution, good runs forward.
  19. We are his most likeliest destination without a shadow of a doubt.
  20. Get someone to make an 'EPL chat thread' in the Match Day section and Pin it. It's more streamlined and makes more sense.
