  1. Spurs seem to have a pretty good squad but aren't exactly playing well. AVB is the reason why, me thinks. The longer they keep him the better.
  2. Anyone else think there should be an 'EPL chat thread' in the Match Day section? It just seems like it would be more streamlined to me.
  3. What a disgrace. Ronaldo deserved it. Feel sorry for him. He keeps getting robbed time and time again.
  4. You guys are overreacting. Firstly he doesn't have any emotional attachments to us. The only connection he has to us is that he is owned by us. It's only natural he has developed feelings for Atletico. Having said that, he will jump at the chance to come play for us. He may need to go on loan to an EPL side first but he realises that we are a step up from Atletico Madrid.
  5. That's funny coming from Mikel as he hasn't improved his pressing and pressurising of the ball one bit for multiple seasons.
  6. Where did I say that? No, please, show me where I said that.
  7. I think Milan would be a good place for him to go.
  8. I would love him in January though. Will tear up the PL.
  9. This shit is getting annoying. Showing frustration does not make you 'plastic'. Stating facts and criticising players where criticism is due does not make you 'plastic'. Wanting the team to do better and play with some more pride does not make you 'plastic'. Everyone who does that still wakes up the next morning as a Chelsea fan. They still watch the next game as a Chelsea fan. You and many others on this forum need to stop with this bullshit opinion. I don't know why you do it, perhaps it gives you a false sense of superiority. Does it make you feel better about yourself?
  10. ESPN saying the move could be permanent. Probably best for us to move him on.
  11. Your last 10 posts or so have been nothing but complaints about people complaining about the game. It's getting old.
  12. You can recall a player from loan but must pay a fee.
  13. Good. This is the role we want him to play. Hopefully he can make it his own.
  14. I didn't mean attacking midfield and wings. It's the other areas that are worrying. Defence even more shaky than I had first thought. Double pivots are almost non existent. Striking department a bit light and taking a gamble with Torres and Sturridge.
  15. In terms of numbers we are, as Justin said, a bit light in the Striker department. In terms of quality we're light just about all over the pitch to be honest.
  16. How long are people going to keep defending Frank? Deluded fools. This is why Ferguson is so great. He is like a machine. Doesn't let sentimentality get in the way of acknowledging when a player is past it. Lampard doesn't deserve to be in the starting 11 any more. Call me 'plastic' all you want but we all know that's just a coping mechanism from many of you in denial about Frank's situation.
  17. Cahill did ok. He is proving to be a good buy and getting better and better. Luiz on the other hand is regressing...
  18. No suprise. His rest was pretty much confirmed by RDM anyway. He should rest for the QPR game as well.
  19. He'll be 27 in February next year. Prime age really. Not a huge amount of years left but I think he would be worth the Money.
  20. If we play like that (Super Cup) against Juventus they will be looking forward to it. RDM needs to get it together.
  21. Hopefully this was a case of lacking the hunger and not turning up rather than Atletico exposing our deficiencies. Falcao was probably the difference. I hope some have now seen what Falcao is all about. This is why I would have signed him in less than a heartbeat. He is the best Striker in the world and only needs half a chance. On top of that he is a big game and clutch player. I remember Spike said if we bought Cavani he would be our next Drogba. Fair play to him but I thought to myself "No, Falcao is the man you want for that". Since then Falcao has done nothing but destroy teams and prove me right time and time again. It's a shame I can't see us buying him due to his high price. Ramires on the right is not working in our new style. I can't understand why he keeps starting. I hope Oscar starts as he looked good in posession and could help us do more with the ball. RDM could have brought on Moses. We lacked width again and I hope next time he can bring on Moses and/or Marin. Ivanovic probably had the worst game of his life. His crossing was horrendous. Luiz is one player I'm getting tired of. I, like many others, like his overall bubbly, happy personality but on the field he is the CB version of Bosingwa. There is only so many times I can tell myself that "Luiz just needs to work on his decision making, he has potential and can become great". He doesn't seem to be improving one bit. To be honest, he's a downright idiot a lot of times. Cahil is without a doubt better than Luiz and should be starting no matter what. Our weakness is quite obvious. We are susceptible to pace and good counter attacks. At times like this I don't know why we don't just hire more/better defensive coaches and do intense defensive sessions with the whole team and teach them how to defend as a unit. We couldn't even do some basic defending. The defense needs to stay back and not follow the others up the field. Leave the attacking to the attackers and midfielders. The defence should not be that high up the pitch because we are slow. Our double pivots are a big part of our defence being so shit though. Mikel is too passive. He'll never be great in an attacking system as he doesn't have the agression and to put it simply, his footballing mind is slow. Lampard, well the double pivot is just not his game. I do not see where he fits into the starting 11 anymore. He isn't fast or technical enough to play as an attacking player anymore and doesn't have the defensive discipline to play in the pivots. We should have hijacked the deal for Javi Garcia. Torres looked like a Ghost. There are two sides to his performance. Firstly, the service simply wasn't there. Hazard was quiet and Mata looks tired and out of ideas. He needs a break to recharge physically and mentally. Although the service was poor, it's frustrating to watch Torres lazily drift around. He expects everything to be played to his feet. He needs to make better runs. I was watching Falcao and his runs were great (even though the service to him was much better). He is so threatning and has a fear factor to him. Torres doesn't create much himself. His mentality is also too fragile and he is too quick to start moping and lose interest. I hope we look back on this game as a pivotal moment in our season. A game which gave us a harsh reality check but perhaps the kick in the arse we needed. RDM needs to rip into the players and drill it into them that the Super Cup performance was pathetic. I hope we are pumped and ready to make it up by destroying QPR.
  22. Sorry but loaning him makes little sense. Hopefully Romeu plays more now.
  23. A bit suprised and slightly dissapointed we didn't sign anyone actually. Torres and Sturridge better get goals.
