The team didn't show up. Didn't seem to care at all about the match untill it was already too late. Disgraceful. They should be ashamed of themselves really, regardless of it being a friendly. There was also no pressing at all. No pressure. Atletico had time and space while our defenders just stood there and watched. They were really lazy whereas Atletico pressed and closed down spaces. They were simply up for it.

People are trying so hard not to underestimate Juve that you are ending up overrating them. They are good and can be tricky, but let's be honest and skip the graciousness. We should top this group with few problems. I can't see Juve BEATING us. We may draw away but beat them at home. Shaktar away could probably be the trickiest match but we should be fine. I know we have some tough games before/after the CL matches but we have a deep squad with quality players, so should deal with it pretty comfortably.

Rooney is a great player end of story. Anyone who says otherwise needs to put aside their delusions. Anyway Schurrle is by most accounts mediocre. I would welcome him but with a lot of doubts. A lot. Sturridge has more talent.
