No, it isn't. If he was really saying that why didn't he just say something like "I'm a defensive midfielder, it's not my job to score goals". He said "No one will cover" because it's true. He plays in the double pivots yet it seems he has to do all the defending. Lampard bombs up the pitch too often. I don't know how some cannot see the point he is making here.

Well he's never interested in the friendlies. He's also not quite as good with the national side but it doesn't mean much.

No. His passing has been below par in general. Needs to work on it otherwise he won't be able to hold onto a starting place for much longer.

His distribution has been pretty poor so far this season. Lost the ball a few too many times and in important moments. Needs to work on it.

Next year there will be a big change to the Spanish tax rates (or something along those lines). His salary would be cut from €11 million to around €8 million (which is actually less than Messi). I really am in awe of AVB. Only he can be this big of an idiot. Only he can stuff things up this many times.
