  1. I and many others can't see any of your strikers ripping us apart. Falcao is something else. A different Animal altogether.
  2. *Sigh*. Yes, perhaps you don't know but English teams don't take things like the Super Cup or Club World Cup seriously. The Champions League is far more important to us, especially as we are now defending champions. Secondly, I don't know how you don't get the second part. Quite straightforward. You have no player who is on the level of Falcao. Normal players can't really rip us apart like that. The world's best striker was out to prove something that night. Throw in the 'not showing up/defenders collectively having the worst game in their careers' and it's probably a one off.
  3. That was a meaningless game which we didn't show up for. Furthermore, you have no Falcao. It was Falcao who raped us. In fact very few players other than Falcao could do that to us. Also, perhaps I'm overconfident but its about damn time. I think we can take you on. Yes I don't see you beating us if we play at our best which is easier said than done.
  4. I can't see any other result than a Draw at your stadium. At the Bridge we should win. Arrogance? No, a rightful sense of confidence, from being 'Champions of Europe'.
  5. They are Juventus not Barcelona or Madrid. If they trouble us, fair play to them but this is ours to lose.
  6. The whole support of a City didn't seem to help Bayern, did it? Did it help Barcelona? I thought so. So it has nothing to do with anything. Ivanovic has gone through a rough patch. He is better than Lichtsteiner though. Azpilicueta could even be better than Lichtsteiner. Barzagli is not easily better than Cahill. Luiz perhaps.
  7. Perhaps true but patience must be shown. Also an adjustment to the tactics.
  8. GK= Even Defense= Even Midfield= Juventus Attack= Chelsea Chemistry, I guess them but we are gelling pretty well. I don't know what the support part has to do with anything.
  9. We'll find out soon enough. I think you're being too harsh and pessimistic. We were not that bad last season. We were only a couple points off 4th place. Plus the whole AVB thing.
  10. He is terrible on the wing. He can't ever excel in that position unless we play like we did last year, which, against most teams, we won't. His energy, lungs and determination would be best suited in central midfield (especially in a 4-3-3). Many say we need a deep lying playmaker in a 4-2-3-1. Perhaps we do but I don't really care about that. I just want two solid boulders in the pivots who will destroy play and pressure like bulldogs. Mikel is perhaps not quite that player but Ramires can be. I'd much rather that type of midfield 2 than our current one. If you don't concede goals you don't lose. That's what we should prioritise right now.
  11. Perhaps. However I think if we play somewhere near our full capacity we'll win, with little problems. I guess Bertrand should start seeing as how you play 3-5-2. He is better on the wing than Ramires.
  12. Well I hope we switch back to 4-3-3. If not Hazard does track back reasonably well. Keeping your defenders busy though I think is a good form of defence and will take the pressure off. I expect Bertrand/Ramires to start though (not that I want them too).
  13. No more Ramires on the wing. I doubt he'd play there anyway (Thank God) now that we are a bit light in CM. I'd actually perfer Bertrand on the LW if RDM insists on using one defensive winger (which we shouldn't). Why? If anything, you will need one.
  14. Cahill, Ivanovic or perhaps even Mata (unlikely though).
  15. What I'm saying though, is that Lampard is almost non-existent when it comes to defending. He is either at the other end of the pitch because he has been attacking too much or just too lazy to dig in and press and defend.
  16. The Regista is still, in most cases, supposed to help out defensively as well.
  17. No, it isn't. If he was really saying that why didn't he just say something like "I'm a defensive midfielder, it's not my job to score goals". He said "No one will cover" because it's true. He plays in the double pivots yet it seems he has to do all the defending. Lampard bombs up the pitch too often. I don't know how some cannot see the point he is making here.
  18. Unless he is being sarcastic, the point he (Mikel) is trying to make is that Lampard does not help out defensively "No one will cover...".
  19. Well he's never interested in the friendlies. He's also not quite as good with the national side but it doesn't mean much.
  20. I don't like you're style of unecessarily long winded and (IMO) repetitive posting style, so I'd rather not emulate it.
