He's an absolute bull. Defensively very good but classy on the ball also. Rarely loses possession and always finds time for himself. Has the potential to be an elite DLP. I can't stress how much better he would be than Benat. Far more complete player. The problem is if Sociedad make the CL they would have no reason to sell yet. In a way I would like to see them in the CL, but from a selfish point of view I would like to see some of their players here. Illarramendi and the always improving Martinez in particular can certainly make the step up.

Fantastic player, but he plays predominantly down the left and not on the right where we could do with some width. So unless we are moving Hazard there is no place for him. KdB would offer so much more down the right.

Don't really care to be honest. I guess Spurs were more exciting last time in the CL. Arsenal seem happy to make it to the last 16/quarters then crash out every time.

The funny thing is if it was the other way around and we were buying KdB from Dortmund, we would be paying upwards of £25m for him. 15m euros is an absolute insult, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if the board do sell for that. That being said, until I see him holding up the Dortmund shirt I won't believe a thing.

Got back from the game about an hour ago. Obviously these are still young lads so I won't be too critical, but I really thought we could've won if we had just taken half of our chances (And in the first leg). Nditi had an absolute horror show at LB, and was targeted by Norwich's pacey forward every time on the counter. Aina looked very good on the ball, great pace and delivered some decent crosses, especially in the first half. Boga looks very good but he drifts in and out of the game too much, needs to get more involved. If I was to pick one who will have the best future it would be the centre half Christensen. Obviously we conceded 3 goals but every time I've seen him he looks quality, fantastic on the ball, and can read the game well. Let down by the Cahill-esque Davey next to him. At the end of the day when we did make chances we didn't take them, and Norwich were well organised and too tough to break down. Generally at youth level organisation and physicality trumps free flowing football. We have the better individuals but they are the better team. On a final note, their fans were fantastic. They brought down more than you'd usually get in league matches.

No other club is prepared to pay what they are asking, or meet his wage demands. Add to that the complication of his third party ownership, moving to Monaco will allow him to freely choose where he wants to go after that.

You just said 'At Atleti he can now literally have what he wants'. He can't because they have to sell him. The only option for him at the moment is Monaco, so it makes discussing Chelsea, PSG, or City irrelevant.

Because no other club is stupid enough to pay what Atletico are asking. In this sense, I agree he's been overrated.

Atletico are desperate to sell, none of the bigger clubs are stupid enough to pay the 50 odd million they are asking for. I don't see how Falcao can be blamed when it's likely the only option he has.

He's still a quality player. Every time I'm at the Bridge and we are playing United he looks the biggest threat of any United player, and without him they lack that composure in the final third. The best players create their own space and Rooney does this expertly. That being said, I don't think United would sell to us, and his wage would be ridiculously high if there was a possibility. I can see him going to PSG, just want to hear that scouse/french accent

It would be criminal for opposition pressing to consistently go as far as pressing the opponents CBs. Having a player like Luiz at the back who also has the attributes of a midfield playmaker is such a big threat as opponents can press or not press at there peril. Either way it would leave gaps to be exploited or give a player like Luiz the freedom to cause havoc.

If it wasn't known already, Schweinsteiger furthered his case as the best midfielder on the planet. Phenomenal player.

You make it sound like it was all doom and gloom before Mourinho's arrival. I agree that they were poor in Europe, but they had just achieved record points with Pellegrini, and pushed arguably the best version of Barcelona all the way in the title race. With Mourinho available I imagine it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. Agree with all other points though
