I agree with most of what you have said but to say that nobody saw his rise coming is a little off. I remember him being touted as one of the best up and coming goalkeepers in the World. Cechs successor. A top, top talent. Part of the Belgiums golden generation. All the plaudits were there. Yes, this was all determined on how he was nurtured. Athletico done a fantastic job on him to be fair.

Having said that, as current form stands, who would you rather in a midfield role? Bakayoko or Luiz? Luiz only played a handfull of games in that role. This was on his previous spell here too. We can see his game has matured since those days. Look how he played the CB role in our 2016/2017 title winning season. It was hard to believe how disciplined he had become under Conte considering how eratic he could be. Who is to say wether Conte could utilise his attributes and transform him into a defensive minded midfielder. He has pace, vision, can tackle, wide range of passing ability and lots of energy. All the tools needed for such a role.

How much are we paying for him?

Luiz is made for the defensive/sweeper midfield role. It really pisses me off that he hasn't been given a real chance in that position.

I have been critical of Thibauts performances. It wasn't soo much his actobatic peformabce but rather the lack of passion. After yesterday against Arsenal, he showed how much it means to him to make huge saves. He was showing the passion and desire ee saw at Athletico.

Putting Alvaros experience in the Real Madrid B team aside, he has only scored 50 career goals at club level. In 145 games he has only scored 50 times. That is pretty poor to be honest.

Very true. It was his injuries that fucked him but even when he was Atheltico and Pool and he had pace and strengtg, he also had a superb goalscoring instinct. You don't score as many goals as he was scoring without being able to finish. When he was wearing Liverpool colours and he was through in a one v one situation... you held your head in your hands.. you knew what was coming. When he played for us he lost his confidence along with his pace and power which ultimately tunred him into the donkey that he became haha!

Torres peformances for us are a complete mystery, evem to this day. I was watching a video on him when he played for Atheltico and Liverpool. The lad was immense in front of goal. Morata has never shown that the kind of instinct on front of goal that Torres once showed... but yea for us he was shit lol.

Yea, Conte should never have left Bakayoko out there or taken Hazard off but to blame what happend out there on him isn't justified. He can't help that the club has paid big money for a striker who literally has two left feet. We should have won. We had soo many chances. The club isn't buying quality. Just look at Salah and the way he finishes. I woudl seriously take him back in a heart neat and fuck Morata off back to Spain.

We just want a striker who makes those runs and finishes them. Is that a lit to ask for when you are spending 50m plus on a striker...... are we really that desperate that we have to settle for a striker who makes good runs but doesn't finish them. We are one of the biggest clubs in Europe ffs.

Who the fuck decided it was a good idea to even send scouts to watch this guy, let alone buy him? Who is making these decisions? Who picks these transfers. They need to answer for this.
