  1. Fair play to Newcastle for being able to get a player of Debuchy's calibre and I'm sure he will be great there. Disappointed we're not really even looking to buying him and instead are getting Maicon in his twilight years on much higher wages. Who knows, maybe he would opt to join his French buddies at Newcastle either way but wouldn't hurt to try.
  2. http://www.guardian....hampions-league Wow, that's a lot of money and a staggering £14,5m more than Bayern München who got the second highest amount. The other three English clubs all got +20m less than our share. Hopefully these figures can put the club closer to FFP even with all those amazing signing we're getting this summer.
  3. JT never admitted to saying that. He admitted to having used the phrase "black cunt" but according to him it was only in a sarcastic context and he said he was just repeating the words Ferdinand had used. Something like "I never called you a fucking black cunt, you fucking knobhead" but with the view blocked in the video when he supposedly said "never called". It's just two men with only their words against each other with a couple testimonies in Terry's behalf. That's not beyond any reasonable doubt one way or the other and because of that there is no case, or at least there shouldn't be.
  4. Kick-off is 4:30 am here but I would probably be up anyway so it doesn't matter. Been missing these match threads for a couple of months now! Should be an interesting match with all the players who participated in the Euros still unavailable which means we get to see more of KDB, Hazard, Marin, Lukaku and maybe even Piazon's professional debut.
  5. Don't normally like children but have to admit that little guy is cute.
  6. It seems PSG don't really care about the FFP.
  7. Could it be that he's staying after all and not loaned out when he's officially been given the number 14 shirt?
  8. Now who do you think would start ahead of him? Andy Carroll?
  9. Time to buy Vidal was last year when he was leaving Leverkusen for peanuts. I wanted him badly last year and he was even linked with us at some point but now that he went to Juventus it's too late and the price must have been tripled after having a great season.
  10. Why on earth is a LB needed? We already have Cole who could go on for an another year or two and Bertrand is improving day by day and his potential should be clear enough for anyone to see. Ryan will take over as number one left-back for Chelsea and the England national team within a couple of years, you can mark my words.
  11. Can't see how some people are upset with those quotes because from day one it has been inevitable that if Barcelona come calling he will want to go back. If he really wants to go sit on their bench or even the stands sometimes then it's his loss and we will have more than enough quality players even without him and at least we would end up making a little profit on him. All this talk of him going back to Barcelona is only speculation at this time and those people already wishing him to fuck off are in my opinion a disgrace, because the man is still a Chelsea player and was only answering to some journos asking him if he wants to go back. Romeu gets abused just for answering honestly to questions in an interview and then we have the same people wishing us to buy Maicon and would welcome the man with open arms while in reality he is stalling to agree a deal to join us because he's still waiting if Real Madrid come knocking and if they did then he would choose them over us any day. Gotta love the double standards.
  12. This case is just pure comedy with all them cunts and knobheads being constantly repeated.
  13. My parents aren't really into football at all and my brother supports Manchester United. Family aside, most of my friends support Liverpool so you can only imagine how much fun it's been to be trolling them all recently. If I ever have kids I will force them to be Chelsea fans or else I won't recognize them to be my blood. At the moment the last thing I would want is to have children though. Maybe in ten years or so I will think differently but certainly not now.
  14. Hazard was £32m and Marin was somewhere between £6m to £8m so together that makes around £40m. A new right-back (Maicon by the looks of it) would be in the region of £6m and it's looking more and more like we're planning to add another attacking player to the mix as well (Oscar, Hulk, Modric or someone else entirely) but I'm fairly sure that it's going to be only one of those and that's it for our transfer business. An income of maybe 10-20m from players sales could be achieved if we managed to ship out Malouda, Benayoun, Meireles and / or Essien for good prices. Obviously getting rid of the surplus players can prove out to be tricky but it's not impossible. So that's somewhat a total of 65-85 million expenditure on new players minus the income from sales and we could be ending up with lower figures than last year and we then had AVB's £13m compensation package paid to Porto in addition to the transfer fees paid for new players.
  15. I'm not sure if that applies to moves outside England. If he were to make the mistake of moving to Liverpool it could mean that Chelsea get a small percentage of the transfer fee paid to AS Roma but that largely depends on what was agreed when he joined Parma / Roma. Hoping he stays in Italy though, I rate the lad too highly to want him to ruin his career by going to the bin dippers.
  16. Last year he got a new contract along with Josh but that was only to secure contracts for a couple promising youngsters. Bertrand has progressed a lot since and taken his place in the first team squad so why wouldn't he deserve a pay raise to get him even a little bit closer to the rest of the team financially? Obviously he already earns a shitload of money us fans could only dream about but I think it's only fair he gets somewhat the same as other players who are of a similar squad status.
  17. Rumors seem to be spreading quickly... Personally I haven't seen enough of him to form an opinion one way or the other but certainly seems like a very promising player. Expensive as hell though. Daily Fail already reporting about this like the transfer has already happened. Annoys the shit out of me when they do that.
  18. Have fun! "Luckily" my knee is a bit fucked up and I don't have to go. Because the people in charge here are such pussies and they don't want to offend the war heroes who fought in the Winter War seventy years ago. Nowadays it's more of a tradition rather than a necessity that all men serve in the military and when the people who decide these things have gone through it themselves when they were young they tend to think it's necessary for everyone else too. It may have been crucial when the Soviet Union was still around to threaten us but in the 21st century it is in reality nothing more than a huge waste of money to spend billions of euros every year from the tax payers' pockets to maintain something so insignificant because we all know no one is going to attack Finland. There are no valuable national resources here and our people are not really in conflict with anyone so who's going to invade our lands? It's ridiculous that we spend that much money on it and still all the equipment is ancient and there are always budget cuts which make the whole thing a bit pointless if you ask me. And if someone really wanted to attack us then we would be forced to surrender within hours because everyone else have so much more sophisticated hardware and more manpower than us and FFS it's not the 40s anymore when you won wars just with the power of will even though the enemy had more men and better weapons. Sweden still had compulsory military service a couple years back and they've given up on it now and I believe it's only a matter of time when this happens in Finland too because our government can't seem to be able to make their own minds up and we always follow the Swedes in everything with only a slight delay. In other news, I just moved to a new apartment in another city and I'll be beginning my studies here in a month or so. The apartment seems nice but I managed to hurt my wrist badly during the relocation and gonna have to go see a doctor tomorrow.
  19. I rate him but €25m is way too much.
  20. I suppose I could be included among the 'haters' (is there seriously not a better choice of words? ) even though I've defended him a lot recently. I've admitted already that if he indeed does improve sufficiently for next season I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong. Happily waiting to say those words but there's still long way ahead to get to that point. And as for the cheering part, every time he has put on the Chelsea shirt I've cheered for him and when he scored one of those rare goals I was ridiculously happy even though the goals didn't matter much at all to the scoreline. Still I can see no reason why we should all just blindly support him without any critic when he plays like shit.
  21. Good luck to Lille Salomon! Big boots for him to fill after Hazard leaving. Same could be said about Hazard too, taking King Salomon's place in the team is a huge task.
  22. Those complaining about the heat are welcome to join me in Finland anytime from October to March when the temperature rarely goes higher than -15 degrees celsius and more often than not it's even lower than -25C. There's always snow up to my balls and the ground is slippery as fuck because of the ice. The sun doesn't bother showing up for months and every day it gets dark as night from 2 pm, not that there's ever any proper light during the winter even when it's supposed to be daytime. Oh what I wouldn't give to move the fuck away from here in a heartbeat.
  23. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7871285/ I guess this makes sense. I mean, what's the point of having a pre-season tour if your whole team has just announced to be on their way out?
  24. Can't wait for all the rumors to start when he arrives in London for the Olympics. I'm sure he will be 'spotted' around the city with a Chelsea official countless of times during his stay and he'll be on his way to Cobham on a helicopter every day.
  25. Thiago Silva, Marcelo and Hulk the over-aged players in the squad so an unbelievable amount of quality for Mano Menezes to choose from. Was expecting Luiz to take Marcelo's place in the squad because they already have a decent left-back prospect in Alex Sandro. For the sake of our pre-season and the first couple of rounds in the league it's much better now that he's not going but on a personal level I feel for him.
