  1. Atletico away looks very nice. How come almost all of Nike's kits look great but then the kits for teams like Manchester United, Barcelona and Arsenal are absolutely horrifying? Is this some marketing trick towards the Asian market where those kind of shirts are supposed to be in fashion and the so-called lesser teams don't have to worry about such things and can just focus on making something that looks cool?
  2. Sahin + 15 mil and we can begin talks. Florentino Perez not being interested is great though. What an idiot that man is but that's good for us I guess.
  3. I'm a man of my word, so yes. Happy for Torres, had a great game. Let's just hope he can continue this form for the rest of the tournament and into the season playing for Chelsea when it really matters.
  4. Or maybe the "people that matter" are just desperate for our £50m striker to succeed they're willing to try anything to make it work. Just my 2 cents. But enough with the negativity now and like some said on the match topic, it's now time to stop complaining about Torres for a week because he scored. If he scores more in the second half I'll be quiet for a month.
  5. Credit when it's due, that was a nice finish. Hopefully he can get a couple more against Ireland in the second half. Still takes a lot more than that to convince me he's the right man to lead the line for the Champions of Europe next season.
  6. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, top scorer in the Bundesliga this season you mean?
  7. RB: Debuchy, Piszczek, Azpilicueta or Isla CM: Cabaye, Modric, Martinez, Witsel or Sahin RW: Hulk Wouldn't mind one of Dzagoev / Jovetic either if Di Matteo can fit them in the squad but I would consider them to be luxury signings and not priorities.
  8. A great player whom I've admired for a long time but I can only see him coming if Sturridge leaves, which at the moment is looking a bit unlikely.
  9. Great news. Let's hope their crisis goes even deeper than that and most of their star players realize it's better to try and get the fuck out of that rotten club as soon as possible.
  10. Maybe. Doesn't change my opinion about him even if he was being sarcastic and I still consider him to be a cunt.
  11. Wonderful news. Two-year deal is a bit surprising after all the talk of him getting only a one-year contract but this is good too. I suspect the board have inserted some performance-related clauses to the contract which could cancel the second year if he doesn't succeed here and we wanted to continue chasing Guardiola next year. But for now let's just hope he will succeed and stay for years to come. :blue scalf: Oh, almost forgot: What a cunt.
  12. Not necessarily. Contract running out soon so he couldn't be that much overpriced only for performing well at the Euros, could he? Also if it's true he's a Chelsea fan I'm pretty sure he would choose us over another top club. Anyone know if he can play CM too? So far I've seen him play in a free role behind the striker and on the wings so seems quite versatile to me. Maybe he isn't exactly what we need most at the moment but could be too good an opportunity to turn down if he's available for peanuts and willing to come.
  13. Bosingwa still managed to get 43 games last season when he was considered to be Ivanovic's backup and even Ferreira played 9 games. If the so called 1st choice gets injured then those numbers rise even higher. Rotation is key. Now that Bosingwa is gone do we promote Hutchinson to play all those +30 games next season? The man has played 6 games in his career at the age of 22 so a big risk there. Could work out brilliantly and with him being a product of the Chelsea academy it would be even sweeter but could fail miserably too...
  14. Only problem is there aren't any quality British right-backs available for us to buy. Of course there's Richards and maybe Walker who could both do a job for us but I'm fairly sure they're not within our reach and the likes of Simpson etc. aren't good enough. If we are to stick with just Brana, Sam and old Paulo at RB it's a problem waiting to happen. As good as Ivanovic is at right-back he simply cannot play every single match in a season of 50-65 games and even though Hutchinson is a player we all want to succeed I wouldn't be comfortable playing the majority of games with him if Ivanovic were to get injured. And with Sam's injury record who's to say he wouldn't be injured all the time too?
  15. I've always preferred him or Lukas Piszczek over Van der Wiel and Azpilicueta. Manchester United also rumoured to be after Debuchy..
  16. Okay so now we're basing our opinions only on the match against Italy? What about being shit for the other 16 months he's been a Chelsea player? For a long time I was always defending him to others but that train has left the station ages ago and he's been nothing but abysmal with only small glimpses of hope time and again when he had a couple decent games against sides which should be in the Championship. The man cost 50 fucking million pounds and he's the best paid player in the club but to you it doesn't matter if he's still one of the worst performers most of the time? Why aren't anyone else at Chelsea cut some slack like that when they play like shit but instead they're blamed for everything and told to fuck off from the club all the time. But oh no, not poor Torres because he might just lose his confidence again and play another 25 hours without scoring a single fucking goal. You know, it really shouldn't be that hard if you're supposed to be one of the best strikers in the world and paid £200k a week to do your fucking job. He needs to go but the only problem is no one is willing to take him because they all know he's not what he used to be. Maybe in a couple of years Atletico could take him just out of pity but they certainly can't afford to take him back this year so that doesn't leave us with a lot of options. We're stuck with him.
  17. Of course we all want him to succeed and I'm sure many (myself included) will be eating our fair shares of humble pie if he in fact does turn things around and starts scoring goals next season. Not holding my breath though.
  18. Lavezzi is going to PSG, nearly confirmed already. edit: My god was I slow.
  19. With Di Matteo looking likely to stay as manager there's still hope for Kalou yet when RDM clearly likes him and would possibly want to keep him. Schalke an option for Kalou as well and their manager Huub Stevens has even confirmed his interest in Salomon. Liverpool also said to be interested.
  20. I'm surprised RDM is willing to accept a one year trial but from the club's point of view this is the ideal situation. Maybe there just weren't any other good options for Robbie at the moment and he's trying prove himself to the board during this one year and if he succeeds then his future is guaranteed. A big applause to Ron Gourlay and the rest of the board for pulling off all these great deals recently.
  21. In my opinion Hummels is already among the best centre backs in the world but we don't need him at Chelsea and I doubt he would even want to come. Also as noted above, he just signed a contract extension and won't be leaving Dortmund this summer.
  22. Has scored a goal though. I was watching the Germany vs Portugal match so can't say how he's doing but a goal for him either way.
  23. Once again he's scored for the Ivory Coast. He's on fire.
