Anyone given credence to the thought that Rüdiger is coming to play RB, and Azpi will be shoved back to LB? I think that's a real possibility especially if we sign another CB like Koulibally.
-
God I hope he signs for us... Koulibaly, Zouma, and Christensen (later on), will be quite solid if the latter two make the necessary jumps in their game to become Top Top CBs.
-
No way... That has to be a poor angle. He gained all those pounds that quickly? Mental. Edit: no need to worry.

Hala Madrid. Happy they won it, I'm not on that hipster flow of rooting for underdogs at every turn in sports. Ronaldo was clearly not at top health, but he got the glory moment he wanted. Atleti didn't "deserve" the win on the balance of play imo (even though I don't really believe in that notion in one-off Cup Finals, you either win it or you don't.) Atleti were all-over the place for large stretches of the match. Their pressing was not as compact, and they suddenly forgot how to defend set-pieces and should have been down 2-0 if Casemiro made better connection. Zizou nearly lost the game for Real Madrid by subbing off Kroos who had a strangle-hold on the match. I understand he wanted greater pace in midfield, but if it wasn't broke don't fix it. You got to wonder if the Atleti players can withdo another grueling, demanding season next year. For all their pressing, and high intensity, only 1 Copa Del Rey and 1 League Title have been made to show for it. At some point, Losing the title by 2/3 pts, and 2 UCL Finals, has to be beyond frustrating. Does Simeone have it in him to implement a more attacking, player friendly system for large stretches next season? I doubt it, but will be interesting to see.

I've never been one of Willian's biggest fans, and for the right price I think he should be sold. He simply doesn't offer enough going forward. No bite at all, and this season besides that 4 months spell when he was hitting FKs at will, the goals went missing, and Willian returned to his normal self. If reports are to be believed, Willian was already pretty upset (pre JM at ManU) Chelsea for not offering a contract extension already given how he performed this season. In an ideal World, we would keep Willian and he'd be a proper bench option, but I think it's clear he would never accept that role. The way I see it, we need to surround Hazard with other Top Top attacking talents, and that means serious upgrades on Oscar, Costa and Willian. In that order too, may I add.

Hope so too, and hopefully its a Top Top Defender/Total CM in the mold of Nainggolan. Fingers crossed

We will not overreact to Conte's performance at the Euros. We will not overreact to Conte's performance at the Euros. We will not overreact to Conte's performance at the Euros. We will not overreact to Conte's performance.....We will not overreact.... In fact we should just lock this thread during the Euro's because the overreaction either positive/negative will be insufferable. As LvG showed after the World Cup, national team success isn't an automatic carryover to club success.

Amazing how the nonsensical tranfers have so much credibility (as regards to the news) and are easiest to get done, but the deals for Radja Nainggolan or any other Defender (which we haven't been linked with at all) drag on and on. Had that feeling the first moment I read that transfer rumour that this would actually get done. SMH.
-
Looks like AS Roma need the moneh, it'll be a race to see wherher they sell Radja or Pjanic first. Hopefully they only want Munsonda for a loan, because they're mad if they think Chelsea are gonna sell one of the most talented youth products in football. That news of Roma's financial trouble should boost our chances. Confident this will get done now.
-
I just find it amusing because a lot of people run to this thread when he scores a brace for Everton or after he destroyed 3/4 of our defense in the League Cup Qtrs. Having Costa and Lukaku as someone mentioned before, would be absolute comedy. We need a striker who is technically sound, can create for themselves, and smart in attack when it comes to playing combination plays in and around the box. All qualities Lukaku doesn't embody.
-
Im curious to hear how people feel about a potential Lukaku return? This should be interesting..

First Half: Second Half: This guy is a great footy twitter follow. Still can't believe that was the same Sevilla team I watched in first half.
-
Why you actin like you don't enjoy it man, Hollywood FC for the win! Wouldn't have it any other way! haha

I agree as well. But also these are done to gain favour with these powerful agents I bet.Falcao's agent is the great Jorge Mendes, and he could maybe steer a transfer target our way (Ruben Neves?) or anyone else of the hundreds of footballers he manages. And Pato's agent is Mondial Sport. They represent some of the most prominent players around Europe too including 3 of ours in Zouma, Traore, and Nemanja Matic. And if reports are true that we wish to offload Matic, gaining good favor with his agent can make the deal much easier. Would like to add, it'll be interesting to see if we target any other players managed by Mondial Sport because we haven't been linked with any of them so far. I'd like to think there's a serious end-game in this, and that we aren't trying to jumpstart fallen careers, but you never know with Chelsea. http://www.transfermarkt.com/mondial-sport-management-amp-consulting-sarl/beraterfirma/berater/2106 I also forgot to mention the JM--> Mendes connection, which may explain the Falcao one. Because that was done befoe this season turnt to shit. But the Pato transfer is interesting indeed.

Michael Own just said this: "Whose bigger than Liverpool? Barcelona and Real Madrid, but who is there after that?"
-
Talk about tale of two halves. My days. Not only did liverpool lose another final, but they were denied 2 stone-cold penalties, Klopp has lost his 5th straight final, and their out of the UCL. It couldn't have gotten much better. Sevilla produced one of the best 30mins of football in that second half. Just an amazing display, Unai Emery take a bow. Also! we gonna start criticizing Klopp yet or are these still Brenden Rogers' players? Liverpool fans can't have it both ways. Klopp the magician when they win against Dortmund, Man U, and reach League Cup Final, but then turn around and state that he shouldn't really be judged according to this current crop of players because their not 'his'. Still intrigued to see who they target/sell and how he does with a Full offseason of preparation mind you.

And Manchester City only recieve 12M a year from their Nike deal I know they'll definitely re-up and get more money but they won't top our deal I bet. haha
-
I never doubted you! This is a great piece of business from Roman's minions. Gettttt Innnnnn!!
-
Nah never that. I've actually been very very optimistic about his hire, and really think he'll turn this lot around next season. I really do. But we all know as Chelsea fans, that the good times never last for long.
-
Y'all made my morning. Lmfaooooo
-
Yeah can't it be used to express concern too? (Atleast that's what I just read on Google ). Just Showing concern for Antonio Conte because we all know things turn to shit at Chelsea very quickly with managers. Im not caping for the stability mantra, or even saying Carlo should have stayed on. His perrenial bottlings in the league is enough of a deterrent. I'm simply just stating the obvious that our manager situations always tourn sour. And Roman doesn't make it any easier by the extreme pressure he adds that is already present at managing a top club.
-
That was hard to read. Roman is a mad man, but he's our Billion Dollar mad man. It amazes me that managers still want to manage this club, it really does. I was certain that Roman and Co. had run out of his luck after we sacked Jose Mourinho this past season and we would have to hire some no-name manager, but alas, Antonio Conte has stepped up to the plate. Only to be fired 2 years from now.
-
IT's a blessing! You wanna watch this lot play football some more? Nah fam, they've hurt us enough this season. The nightmare is over, Celebrate!!
-
There's STILL more hurdles before the project can begin? I thought all the concerns about the railway, houses, and CPO landowners were all taken care of, otherwise, why even get people's hopes up displaying the renders for the new stadium at all? I hope Roman and Co. get their way and there are no hiccups. Those renderings looked magnificent, and all the effort into looking for a temporary home HAS to mean the Chelsea hierarchy are confident whatever ruling has to go their way will indeed do so. Scenes, if the re-development of Stamford Bridge isn't approved.
