  1. Couldn't agree more. Would probably just make it Nainggolan/James Rodriguez. Different types of players, but either we solidify our CM options or give Hazard another class CAM/RW to play with. On another note, Such a shame De Vrij suffered that microfracture injury last year. Pretty sure the club would be all over him as a CB option. The guy has it all. Intelligence, Ball Skills, Positioning, Defending.
  2. Wow, completely forgot we were in for this guy earlier in the summer. What a complete CM, and such a shame this deal wasn't completed. Imagine a midfield of Radja and Kante.. we'd be giving up a lot of height in midfield.. But wow... Together they would have amassed the most tackles world football has ever seen in a season Would any opposing attack reach our dreadful backline??
  3. Doubt he will leave tbh. James simply loves Real Madrid and everything about being a Madrista. IIRC didn't he say in an interview one time that he wasn't really that big on the PL? Anywho, looks like Hazard has got to wait another year before he gets a competent #10/RW that's on his level.
  4. Just look at the quality of players Marsielle have sold over the past 2 summer transfer window. Payet, Ayew, Batshuayi, Gignac, Mandanda.. The list goes on and on...
  5. Saw stat, and Costa has the worst dribble completion (somewhere at 20%). Over the past two seasons in the PL. The less Costa touches the ball during our build up play, the better. The only problem, as we've seen in the opening two fixtures, Oscar, Matic and Pedro aren't skilled enough to link up with Hazard and break teams down.
  6. That Liverpool team needs lots of broken play and transition/counter attacking opprotunities to thrive. Burnley made sure that wasn't going to happen, and like you said it's been a constant theme under the Klopp era so far that they drop many points to the minnows of the league. They seriously lack a DLP, and desperately need a player of the Xhaka profile. Maybe Emre Can can be that guy, but I have my doubts. How many shots did Coutinho have yesterday?! Long may it continue.
  7. BADMON BATSMAN strikes again! What an impact sub. Like I've been saying, there's no need for Lukaku. We've got a gem in Batshuayi. So happy to see him pick up where he left off for Marsielle. If he scored on that immaculate turn and placed in into the upper 90 to put us up 3-1, I think I would have exploded. And to think he was thiiiiiiiiisssssss close to playing for West Ham/Crystal Palace/Spurs, what a tragedy that would have been.
  8. Best news I've heard all summer. If this holds up to be true, there really is a God.
  9. Cheat Code... Southampton need to be more clinical in the final thrid/
  10. Still can't believe Pogba is back at Man United... really thought he'd be in Chelsea blue next season. Wow...
  11. Can't believe Im gonna miss the game. Had to miss last week's too. and then in two weeks their off for International duty, we just had the Euro's, Copa America, and Olympic Football for FFS!
  12. Like I said earlier in this thread, don't think defensively RR has what it takes to succeed in the PL given how pacey and direct the league is. When I watch him defend it doesn't inspire me with confidence, and he clearly lacks the recovery speed to make up for his mistakes like Zouma. I'm just happy it looks like we're after a LB and not gonna continue the Azpi at LB nonsense. There's no doubt RR has class offensive talent though. If we sign him, we'll have one of the best pure crossers in the league, another bonafide Penalty Taker, and a serious FK taker as well. Praying he proves me wrong defensively, because Hazard and RR attacking down the left side is ridiculous.
  13. Same as the poster above, Ivan you did well tonight...... Although! Imagine if it was Azpi on the right (assuming we bought a LB), and it was him making those delayed overlapping runs into space? And was in position to deliver a cross that actually reached it's intended target? That was something that jumped out to me straight away. Numerous times Oscar and Willian tried to play Ivan on in acres of space, but it just never clicked. If we solve the FB issues this window...My god, if tonights game was anything to go by, we will have some serious fullback play.
  14. Agree with both. Kante likes to roam the pitch to breakup attacks before they even start, and that can only happen if he has another partner next to him that compliments his talents like Danny Drinkwater did very well. The obvious downside to letting Kante operate as a roamimg destroyer is that he'll leave huge gaps in behind him and isn't disciplined enough to know when to stay put. And so for that reason, I think it's paramount Kante stays put until our midfield options are strengthened. Though It will be very intersing indeed to see how Kante is used throughout the season. Also, pretty sure Thiago Maia is the CM we're targeting. Wonder how he'd work out with Kante tbh.
  15. Im really about to miss the second half because of work...
  16. couldn't have said it better myself. How Liverpool aren't running this Arsenal lineup off the pitch is crazy to me. Very poor pressing from them, and Alberto Moreno
  17. God I hope we don't sign him. And for €39M? Hell no. Man looks like just another Willian.
  18. Wow I missed the Premier League. What a lineup by Pep Giardiola. Thank God Football is back.
  19. Crazy to think Koulibaly has really only had one standout season. Still hope this deal gets done before the deadline, because we need all the CBs we can get. Imagine, signing Koulibaly and Stefan De Vrij from Lazio. Wow. And then I turned off my PS4.
  20. Internazionale's previously minority owners group called Sunning, a Chinese Firm, boughtout the club to the tune of $306M. There was a lot of red tape holding the club from splashing the cash initially, and Roberto Mancini also made it difficult because while the owners wanted more young promising assets, Mancini wanted ready made stars like Yaya Toure. That's why he resigned earlier this week, and Frank de Boer was hired. Things are finally looking up for Inter!
  21. Please God No. I thought this silly transfer rumour was squashed. Hopefully Everton hate us enough to deny this transfer, or demand too much. We need technical players, not more first touch chasers. Says a lot when Lukaku was running his mouth going on about wanting to go to a bigger club and play in the Champions League June 1st Issueing a come and get me Plea to all of Europe, to finding himself still at Everton on August 11th, with no other club being linked to him besides us. Says it all really, imo.
