And who will PSG sign to replace Luiz if he left on the last day of the transfer window? They trying to win the UCL. Highly doubt they would do this.
-
He's being brought in to compete with the likes of Oscar/Matic, and offer Conte something different in midfield. He won't cost the club much, and has good technique on the ball. It's not the "worst" thing that could happen. One thing I like about Brozovic having seen a bit of him at Inter, is he's got a rocket of a right foot. We deserpately need accurate long shot takers in the squad. But next summer, the club simply have to bring in 2 CMs that are bonafide world class talents, that will immediately slot into the starting XI. Brozovic isn't crap, but he's no world beater either. And if Italian reports are to be believed, Brozovic most likely will need a couple weeks before he's fit because he's gained some weight over the summer. And he's also demanding a pay rise from chelsea because he's picked up some gambling debts over the summer break aswell

Nah Aymeric Laporte loves Athletic Bilbao, was never going to leave.

I think about this every damn game... A tear rolls down my face for what could have been. Kante and Nainngolan in the same midfield, Mama Mia.
-
Very good game from him. Won the ball back high up the pitch plenty of times today. And linked up very well with Hazard/Willian in attack.

WHAT. A. TEAM. GOAL!!
-
What a second half..

Willian has scored an open play goal. This is not a drill!!!!
-
neeeeeeeeeedddd that 2nd goal.
-
Eden Hazard is shooting again!

I understand the lineup. But what I think we will see is a very short leash for the starting XI. Batsman and Cesc will come on much sooner if we havent opened up a lead.
-
Don't know how successful that would be tbh. But at this rate, just hope the club sign an adequate Fullback/Centre Back before the window closes, and then go on from there.
-
Come on Lazio do us a solid here. He has all the quality. Hope this goes through.

These next 6 days will either be the best of times or the worst of times.

Agree with the points raised about RR. Im not that big on him either defensively. But why not target another LB. i know there are not many others that jump to mind other than RR, but i put trust in the club's scouting/Conte's team to identify one that can be a solid starter for this team. I mean even Conte seems to hate the inconvienance of a right footed left back playing behind Hazard. During the West Ham or Watford match, (can't remember which one) someone even pointed out that Conte at times wasn't happy with how long it took for Azpi to get the ball to Hazard. So much so that against Watford in 2nd half, he had hazard playing on the RW to make that transition easier. I know a lot of people rate Fabinho, but that still means Azpi at LB. Im so sick and tired of this inverted fullback nonsense. And most importantly because it's not like we have Guardiola on the sideline doing this for some highly intricate possesion based play. We're simply doing this because we have no one to play LB, so Ivan must continue to start. That must end by the time this transfer window shuts. /rant.

This would be my lineup. Ivan-------Cahill--------Terry------Azpi ---------------------Kante Willian-----Cesc----Oscar----Hazard ---------------------Costa Think this is what Conte will go with. Oscar and Willian can do enough of the dirty work in tracking back, etc.

What sucks about this entire Koulibaly saga is that he'll be made out to be this Christ like savior for the club, because of how long this has dragged on + figures being associated with his transfer. Just hope he can hit the ground running, not only for his sake but for the club's as well.

If y'all wanna have a right laugh, look at the responses when Chelsea Announced the signing on Twitter. Welcome Eduardo! Guess this means Begovic is out then?
-
First Nainggolan and now Matuidi. He probably wasn't even interested in Chelsea, (not that I blame him), but damn I hope Chelsea sign a complete B2B CM soon. Like, since lampard left. Vidal, Pogba, Nainggolan, Matuidi, Gundogan, all have swapped teams over the past 2 summers, and not one is in the chelsea blue. Still yet to have replaced (and not that it's easy), Lampard and Ballack.

they don't love you like we will James!
