Sp*rs are pathetic, they couldn't win even with bent refs.
-
Ridiculous the amount of space he had to shoot. Also the less said about that attempted save the better. I guess this is how players in Bundesliga pad their stats and fool prospective buyers.
-
Hahaha yeah, I thought the same. 😂

Inflexibility is what's got several of our managers sacked before. Mourinho, Conte, Sarri were all dead set in their ways that got them success at first and very rarely tried something different once their tactics got found out and our play got stale. There are signs that Tuchel is going the same way, however it's too soon to pass judgement now and he's been getting the results, let's see where we are at the end of the season.

Mendy Azpi - Silva - Koulibaly James - Kante - Kovacic - Cucurella Mount - Sterling Broja Hoping to see this.

Are you Cartman by any chance?😂 Please stop posting this shit.

He's a classic CAM imo. He needs to play in the hole behind a striker and in front of 2 CMFs, in other words 4-2-3-1. He can't be given too many defensive duties as he's simply not good enough at that and a bit too passive so that rules out CMF role. He's not pacey and tricky enough to play winger. CF is probably his second best position but I feel it should be with a partner, not alone (again, has to a have a striker in front of him ideally). What position did he play in Leverkusen?

I think it's both. Sure the system clearly doesn't suit him, BUT actual "generational talents" would shine in any system if they really were as good as made out. Hazard played several different systems for us and he remained our best attacker throughout. He might just be a system player and we ain't playing it.

Called it. 🤓 I like how Azpi shat in the faces of pre-game naysayers. Well done skippy! Our whole backline did a good job. Koulibaly solid, he's gonna be an absolute TANK once he fully adapts. Noticed he charged forward to the box once or twice, a sign that he's perhaps gonna be eased into the marauding CB role like Rüdi. Cucurella in 25 minutes showed what he's gonna bring to us - energy to harass opponents and get up and down the pitch, crisp passing, pace. Encouraging! 👍 Was Havertz even on the pitch? Don't remember a single action with him. Surprisingly it was Sterling down the middle, don't know if that was the best idea. I'd rather Raheem play right or left of Broja, give Havertz some time off until he gets his act together. Broja was not spectacular, but at least I noticed him more in 25 mins than Kai in 75 mins. Mendy MOTM for me. Pulled some hard saves which were the difference between a draw/loss and a win. And the main thing was getting a win at our bogey ground, whatever way possible, and we did it! 3 points closer to the title😜 💙

He had a very good game especially considering he'd only been with the team for 1 day. Didn't put a foot wrong, crisp passing, got up and down and provided a nice cross for Sterling. As soon as he's up to speed he'll replace Chilwell, probably next game against sp*rs.

I am wondering what kind of signings we would have made if Roman was still in charge... I doubt we would be paying anywhere near what we are paying now. And Lukaku would still be here.

So... best to wait till next summer or go for someone else?

Cucurella becomes a Blue Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly said: ‘Marc is an elite defender of proven Premier League quality and he further strengthens our squad going into the new season. We continue to work on and off the pitch, and we’re delighted Marc will be a part of the present and future at Chelsea.’ Behdad Eghbali and José E. Feliciano , co-controlling owners, said: ‘We’re very excited to bring Marc to Chelsea and he is another key part of our squad building as we enter the new season. We’re all looking forward to getting started on the pitch now, and Marc only adds to that feeling. We welcome him to the club!’

Overall has been a very good servant. Was essential during the Conte era. If you rolled back the years I wouldn't mind keeping him, but he's over 30 now and slower, so probably time to move on to a slower league. His direct free-kicks were also always dangerous from that right-hand side, always seemed to hit the target or get close to it.
-
Good team. I would put Trev on for Azpi and Kante for Jorginho, but I can totally see your line-up being the actual line-up.
-
I think he himself understands he can't play every game and that he's not as good anymore. However I think he's had a look at our RWB/RCB situation and thought that there are still many games to be played for him.
-
He's still useful even if not on the same level anymore. He can still do a job when we need to defend a lead and he comes on at a late stage of the game. His professionalism is a great example to the rest of the squad and as the captain he can help new incomings settle in quicker, young defenders can also learn from him. And Farca didn't get our skipper🖕
-
It's been pretty much established that he's staying. I was addressing "maybe a hint this guy will get more first team football than we think" by saying that there is no way a reporter would know how much first team action someone will be getting.
-
Nah you're reading too much into it, it was just chit-chat between the two. There is no way the interviewer would know how much he would play.

Why are the ads on this forum almost always constantly showing me women's underwear? Browsing this site is borderline NSFW. 🤭 I'm wondering is it the same for everyone, or is third party cookie and tracker blocking actually working 🤔

Chukwuemeka signing confirmed On completing his move to Stamford Bridge, Chukwuemeka said: ‘It’s been quite hectic but I couldn’t get Chelsea out of my head the last few days so I’m just happy and relieved that it’s all done. ‘I’m so excited and just can’t wait to get on the pitch, meet all the players and try to win games and trophies with Chelsea.’ Todd Boehly, chairman, said: ‘Carney is one of the most exciting young players in Europe so we are really looking forward to seeing him in action at Stamford Bridge. We are delighted to be able to bring him to Chelsea and add such a talented young individual to our squad for the new season and beyond.’ Behdad Eghbali and José E. Feliciano, co-controlling owners, said: ‘We are building for both the now and the future so signing one of the hottest teenage talents in English football fits with both those aims. Chelsea have shown that young potential can be fulfilled at this club and under our ownership we are determined this will continue. We are looking forward to Carney thriving here.’

Aubameyang has flop written all over him if he joined us. He's 33, toxic and we'd be doing Farca a favour. Plus he just joined them in January, why would he leave so soon?
