Tuchel, Potter, this interim guy... who is the fourth?

This Arteta talk is pissing me off, when Potter brought it up himself I was in disbelief. Look, just because you can bring ONE example, doesn't mean that exception will become the norm. Doesn't mean that every manager who's shit in the beginning will turn into gold. And as has been pointed out previously, statistically Arteta wasn't nearly as bad Potter's Chelsea have been. Plus he won a cup, winning something for a struggling club matters, no matter how big or small. He proved he could win early on, Potter is not going to do that. Also, having watched All for Nothing Arsenal, it was clear that Arteta has great motivational skills and is respected by the players. I would love to see how Potter tries to motivate his players, but looking at his pressers, probably it wouldn't be most inspiring.

Can't believe what I'm witnessing with Chelsea this season. They hire a nobody on a long contract for big money and then when that nobody very predictably fails, they don't do anything about it because of the fat contract given to said nobody. The names you mentioned have yet to show anything resembling greatness for Chelsea this season. Squad quality on paper means jack shit, just ask all the lesser teams we've lost to/drawn with this season. If we somehow go through this round I'll be most pleasantly shocked.

Probably gonna go back to our drawing/losing ways for this one. Especially considering Dortmund are in one of the best forms in whole Europe - 11 wins in a row. We are in one of the worst. We are missing Silva and Badiashile, will most likely concede at least 1 and that's game over. So yeah, I don't have high hopes for this game. I would however take consolation if Potter got sacked after this.

Yes, but it's widely accepted that it was down to the quality of the legendary squad we had and his backroom staff (particularly Steve Clarke and Henk ten Cate). The fact that he didn't manage any major teams before or after Chelsea is evidence to that theory, he was just Roman's friend and that's the only reason he got the job. In terms of shock value when the announcements happened, Grant's was worse coming just after The Special One... I personally remember feeling great anger and grief. In footballing terms however, Potter's is far worse. We don't have a squad anymore that can manage itself.

Of all the years I have been a Chelsea fan, firing Tuchel and then replacing him with Potter is among the most horrible decisions I've seen the club make, if not the worst. Tough call between this and sacking Mourinho for Avram Grant.

Glad I opted not to watch the game today, didn't have a good feeling about it because of my conviction that the players have lost all trust in him and his "project" (or rather he hasn't been able to gain that trust)... Need to get rid ASAP before he can do any more damage. Can't believe he was appointed in the first place, I was screaming NOT to do it, but once it was done I feared the worst. Chelsea is an unrelenting beast that has broken big personality monsters like Mourinho, Conte, Tuchel with no remorse. Difference being they managed to bring success to the club before being broken, that's what elite winners do... Potter never showed this type of personality to succeed at Chelsea, he's too soft, too timid. Many of the new signings probably had no idea who Potter was before his surprise move to Chelsea, so unless he's bringing the results (which he's not), he's not gonna get any respect from them and it's gonna get worse with every bad result. In addition to being a good coach and tactician, you also need to command respect and a bit of fear from the players. We need to appoint someone who can do that, trophyless mid-table managers are not the answer. Boehly and co fucked us real hard last summer, I hope they learn from it.

So a guy can't sing lyrics to songs he likes? Sure you and me can think Lil Baby's music sucks (which it does lol), but he has 30M monthly listeners on spotify, so clearly a lot of people don't think that. I listen to all sorts of music, including rap/hip-hop, and when I sing the lyrics along I don't beep myself when someone says nigga (and lord knows there are many classic songs with that word). That doesn't mean I do it out of some deep hatred towards black people, I do it out of enjoyment for the song and censoring would just ruin the flow (just listen to some censored rap songs on youtube lol, they're unlistenable). Many non-racist non-black people enjoy black rap music and sing along the lyrics without hating or hurting anyone, difference being we don't get recorded and uploaded on the internet.
