Carney is the type of signing I've been hoping we would start making again - getting someone clearly talented in early before they cost 60+ mill after making a step up in another club. Of course there is always a possibility that such players may not fulfill their promise, but it is a risk with all developing young players and at least we are looking to build for the future at a low cost which we can probably recuperate if it doesn't work out. And if it does work out, then we got a hell of a player on our hands.

Cucurella is closer to Kante's height than Azpi's...
-
Yeah, pretty crazy if true. Especially if we're willing to give a CB (Colwill) away for a luxury LWB, deepening our CB crisis even further. Mind-boggling, IF true. Unless the injury seriously wrecked Chilwell, then he may actually be a replacement.
-
My height then. You don't want somebody my height at CB, trust me. 😄
-
Cucurella at CB. Height: 1,75 m Vesper is gonna have a meltdown. 😂 He would make sense only if we didn't already have a 50m player at LWB. Weird, but I'm not against it... Having more quality in squad is always welcome.

Havertz, Pulisic, Ziyech, Werner were all players that we were absolutely creaming over when they were still in their previous clubs. Apparently our scouts were also fans as we ended up paying the big bucks for them. All of them were players we were hoping to sign at some point, they were supposed to elevate us to higher levels, but somewhy as soon as they arrived here they have struggled. Why is that? Imo it boils down to the lack of any consistent footballing philosophy/identity. Players are bought without any idea how to actually use them or how to get the best out of them like their previous clubs did, and then forced into whatever system the current manager prefers. It is especially obvious with Havertz, from day one he's been bounced around in different positions and roles. It's apparent he's not a winger, not a striker, not a b2b midfielder... our system just doesn't suit him. Imo he is a type of luxury player who would thrive if played consistently as a CAM behind a striker.

Letting Colwill go wouldn't make much sense as it would still leave us light at the back even if we got Fofana in return. We would still remain in a desperate need to sign another CB. If we got Fofana our backline would be set for the season with Fofana, KK, Silva and Chalobah, Colwill, Azpi as backups. Depending on how they progress Trev or Colwill could then take over from Silva the season after.

I saw some snapchat screenshots, there was nothing that showed she was talking to Partey. I'll see what else I can find or can you link? However after the Amber Turd debacle I'm very careful to label anyone rapist based on allegations alone.
-
Is there any actual proof that Partey's a rapist?
-
Don't know if this video is a fair representation of his overall performance, but I don't see anything wrong there.

One of the main gripes with Lukaku last season was that he didn't do monkey work off the ball and that compromised our whole pressing system. Wasn't Ronaldo even more useless at that, statistically? What kind of identity are we trying to build if we keep bouncing between different styles to accommodate temporary stopgaps? Especially one like Ronaldo that requires huge attention. Nothing will change with that kind of short-termism, we need to build something sustainable.

I take it you mean Jesus and Bissouma? I would have also REALLY liked Zinchenko, would have been the perfect cover for that left side and even midfield. Him and Sterling together, graduates from Pep school, would have had instant understanding with each other too. I think le Arse really made two terrific signings.
-
I would definitely take Jesus, Zinchenko and Bissouma.

I SO hope that De Jong fucks them, they so deserve it.
-
Paredes lol, another traumatizing transfer saga of the past. We were on the hunt for a creative mid and Paredes was all the talk back then, but in the end he chose fucking Zenith St. Petersburg 😄 That was a massive WTF moment. But in the end we got Drinkwater, Bakayoko and Barkley so all good.

The background music shows the lack of intelligence of the ones who made those videos, especially the second one. Watching Havertz miss those shots wasn't nearly as painful as listening to that horseshit.

Been thinking it some time now that something's not right in our scouting team. When's the last time we signed someone who we instantly knew how to use and who turned out great? More so from the not-so-well-known players pool that the likes of Dortmund and even Leicester use regularly to great effect? RB Leipzig signed Gvardiol only last year for 19m euros from Dinamo Zagreb. Nkunku 3 years ago for 13m euros. There is zero chance our scouts knew anything about them.
-
Why aren't we even linked with him? He has 1 year left, he plays for Frankfurt - should be easy enough to sign him as long as no bigger clubs want him too. Is the club even aware of his existence? I hope he is the next in line after Kounde joins Farca.
-
Wow, if that's true, then Marina was long due for her sacking. That's shocking mismanagement. No wonder nobody wants him. 🤦♂️
-
What the actual fuck 🤣 this can't be true

Really? How much is Sarr on? I thought Malang was one of the pointless loan army guys that was meant to be loaned to oblivion and then sold for profit sooner or later, he was never supposed to be playing for us... or was I wrong and his development simply didn't go the way we'd hoped for?
