Yeah agreed, Golovin should be considered an attacking acquisition, shouldn't have any impact on what we do deeper in midfield. Kante, Seri, Golovin would all fit nicely... Work rate in that midfield would be insane [emoji16] Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk

Things have gone stale and one way to get out of it is to cash in on stagnant middle-of-the road players, who may have been good servants for a long time but contribute nothing towards positive change. I would have taken the 50m and run, but let's see if Marina can milk some more, oddly she is very good at that. This is a no-brainer considering all the pros against the cons. A major plus is that Man United don't get him and we get big cash from abroad to invest into somebody younger, hungrier and more respectful. Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk

All they can do is foul him lol, it's pretty funny to watch, but also frustrating that they rarely let him drive forward without getting hacked. However I don't think Belgium mind because they have some real towers for set pieces. Oh and Hazard > Neymar, dunno how anybody can be in doubt when watching those two players. One is a circus clown that cares more about changing his hair for every game, the other is a player. Imagine Neymar and Suarez in the same team lmao that would be a sight to behold. EDIT: Oh wait, they were in the same team...

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11423573/european-paper-talk-chelsea-set-asking-price-for-willian Chelsea have set a high price for Willian, who wishes to join Barcelona. The Catalan club have been quoted a price of €80m (£70.7m), which they reportedly believe is too high a price for a player approaching his 30s. (Mundo Deportivo) Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/11422956/ruben-loftus-cheek-slams-chelsea-for-lack-of-opportunities-given-to-young-players Asked about his experience of life at Stamford Bridge, Loftus-Cheek said: "It's been so difficult to go from playing every game then get to the seniors and not be given a chance. "It's really difficult mentally, there's only so long you just enjoy training with top players. "From a year ago, I've improved so much from playing. A game situation is completely different. "It's hard to compare the faith of Gareth Southgate and Roy Hodgson and my lack of chances at Chelsea because it's such a big club - managers are under pressure and maybe don't want to take a chance on a young player. "I don't understand what's going on behind the scenes fully, but Chelsea's a massive club and I understand why chances don't come so often". Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk

https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/chelsea-pursue-alisson-while-real-madrid-push-for-courtois Us offering 70m for a goalkeeper is unheard of and it only makes sense if we are already in touching distance of Courtois' money, the above news suggests it is so. With the way our transfer stories are popping up, it seems like the club understands the need for drastic changes and is ready to be more aggressive. Sarri's project could be a huge selling point tbh.

Would be funny if this was the case all along and there were no legal battles or anything like portrayed in the media, just chill waiting game Perhaps the monday everybody keeps on talking about is really 2nd July, the first business day. We shall know soon enough.

I am highly encouraged by our transfer targets strongly reported by reputable sources. Them being Golovin, Seri, Vecino, Rugani, Higuain and Alisson. Early days and we might not get any of them, but considering the reports it is very likely they are genuine targets and they fit the profile of what we need and what Sarri might need. We have also seen no serious links to any truly crap players like this past January or summer. If by the end of this window the board manages to pull off Sarri and some of those (types of) players, then they will deserve some credit. Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk

Let's not fool ourselves, Morata is still the better player between him and Bats, Bats only being the better finisher with his feet and that's it. I would be very much interested to see what Sarri could do with him, perhaps inject some confidence and play to his strengths. I wouldn't be against keeping all 3, everybody offers something different, though dividing game time between them would probably become an issue. I have a feeling with Sarri's attacking system he could become another player. I would sell him only if he really wanted to leave. Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk

This makes so much sense for Chelsea. Obviously the Russian ties and with Abramovich being hugely responsible for making Russian football what it is now, it should be a piece of cake for his people to poach the occasional gem. Plays a position where we need more options and quality; potentially huge resale value; Sarri wants him... let's get it done.

https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/transfer-news/jean-seri-chelsea-transfer-news-14817883 He said: "Seri’s clause is €40m and it is valid until 15th July. “After that Nice can demand any amount they want." There is better news, however, with his agent revealing there have been no talks between his client and Napoli, contrary to reports that suggested the two were in discussions on a move. He has also revealed that he is unsure whether a move to Napoli would be the best option for his client, with the Italian side linked with a move for Fabian Ruiz. He added: "I read Napoli are getting Fabian Ruiz. If they sign the Spaniard, they will hardly need Seri. "We are available for an interview with Napoli if they are interested, but at the moment there is nothing." Sent from my Mi A1 using Tapatalk

Call me silly but deep down I am optimistic. As Chelsea we always go from good to bad to good and so on. Wouldn't be shocked if we won the league next season Well I would but in some way I wouldn't...
-
Not surprised. When he signed he didn't make a secret that Conte was the main reason for him coming. However his relationship with Conte seemed to have deteriorated and with Conte now leaving altogether, I was always suspecting that Morata would jump ship. He never looked happy here apart from the first few games. But we need to find a proper replacement first and only then sell.... Icardi, Lewa, Higuain - I'd take any. Or we enter the season with Bats and Giroud as our only 2 strikers, how feasible would that be?
-
Man, forget about Zouma and Cahill, we will be looking to play possession football. Christensen and Rugani fighting for a place next to Rüdiger and Cahill providing backup looks good enough for me for starters. We will always have somebody comfortable on the ball at the back no matter what combo we field, would not be the case if we were forced to play Zouma and GC together.
-
I refuse to believe that the board are willing to put the club at risk over mere few millions. Keeping Conte at this stage is too risky considering the palpable discord between him and the squad. Hiring Sarri and firing Conte would amount to ~13 million if reports are to be believed, we paid the same for Marko Marin ffs.
-
Lol at the title. Read the article and it's all "ifs" and "mays". The guy was only giving his opinion, absolutely no solid base to this story contrary to what the sensationalist title has you believe.
-
HAHAHA Azpi to Bilbao ( ) for sandwich money and us replacing a world class RB with a 33yo CB This is Don Balon level.
-
Looool, he was "in London" 3 weeks ago already.
-
I count the last 2-3 years also in this, not only this June or previous season. The league title made it better though.
-
That is true, the stories of Hazard, Courtois and Kante leaving are getting too strong. Smoke, fire and all that. They are our best players by far in their respective positions, even if we manage to adequately replace them by some unlikely miracle, then it will still take time for everything to click so next season would be a write-off. It's imperative this clusterfuck is sorted by the end of world cup, this is when they get back and start seriously thinking about their club careers. That said, if we are still in this state by that time, then we (or rather the board) don't deserve anything better anyway. I know everybody says it's pathetic and whatnot, of course it is, but what makes me sad is that this is the lowest I've seen the club on its knees since I started following Chelsea. I know there have been far worse times, but I wasn't around then, so for me this is the low-point... but there is no way in hell I'm ditching this club.
-
We are not going to stick with Conte. There has been no statement from the club.
-
Hadn't Allison already signed for RM?

According to "reliable" reports the contract thingy was sewn up yonks ago, now those same places are saying "next monday" or "next week" again. Just... fuck off
