  1. Now I'm certain Lampard was part of the "player power" problem. It was not a myth. A selfish greedy cunt will always cause discontent in the team when their needs aren't satisfied to the fullest. I still remember the way he casually strolled around the pitch whenever AVB played him and we were desperately looking for inspiration from our leaders, he visibly didn't give a fuck despite being the (vice)captain. His only aim was to get rid of AVB so he could be replaced by someone who would hopefully play him more and thus have a higher chance of earning another big fat contract. Like the time he used Jose's Inter to blackmail the club. He showed his true face for a glimpse when he referred to AVB as "that other bloke" with a giant grin on his face. Last season Jose used Lampard sparingly and there is a possibility that Mou started seeing through his bullshit. He was probably offered a contract that the club knew he would refuse, thus "forcing" him to leave while saving face by being able to say that they did indeed offer him a contract. Lampard, being offended by that and bitterly seeking retribution, didn't consider it a serious offer and went on to claim that no offer was made to further try to stain Chelsea's image. If I had to choose who was lying, Jose or Frank, I'd say Frank all day long. Jose definitely saw through his bullshit, this explains his short but telling "love story over" comments. Jose has never been shy to praise his former players, never has he had such a change of mind so quickly, from saying "the model professional and greatest midfielder to having worked with" to "I don't talk about him, it's over". Not a single unneutral word about one of the standout players of his career, none. Frank, I started watching football and following Chelsea mostly because of you and Terry. Now, some 10 years past, I'm following Chelsea and there would be nothing more satisfying than BEATING you and fucking Manchester City, who you would have never even considered before the megabucks arrived. I hope you play against us later this season so Matic and Terry could hack you on your ass for the greater part of your miserable presence on the field. (Yes, I know he isn't reading this, I'm just fucking venting.)
  2. As we so often see, money trumps everything in football.
  3. Are there are any rumours where Pique hasn't told something to somebody?
  4. So by negotiating it down 1€, we are actually negotiating it down by 112 million €. Go figure
  5. Lol at all those crazy offside replays, obviously put there to make the video wee bit longer, because there was no material Also nice to see Torres staying true to his trying to dribble past 3 players, well done son, you learned a lot.
  6. Has anybody actually asked Pellegrini or the higher-ups for comments about this deal?
  7. So that means JT has scored by far the most open play goals. I don't even know what to say about this man that hasn't been said already. By the way, am I correct that he scored in 3 consecutive games recently? Or was there a one/two game dry spell in between?
  8. So can we place bets now on how big a salary Messi and his companions will extortionate out of this?
  9. Is Mandzukic suspended/injured or are they playing with 2 strikers or smth?
  10. On how many levels is it wrong that I now want Bran to start sucking so incredibly that Jose would have no other choice? I should get my priorities straight... Anyway, bookmarked.
  11. Striker position is hardly the place where they need more depth, especially for the speculated price. Toure is going to afcon and they rely on a 36yo Lampard to bail them out, then I would say they need more depth in midfield rather than attack. Bony would be a fantastic signing for a club whhere he'd be number 1 choice.
  12. You love John? Proper Chels! So glad all those Torres fangirls are gone.
  13. And I know that essentially it doesn't make a difference, loan or not - he still kicks the ball for Manchester City either way. It's just the way our would-have-been all-time great has handled this, how it has destroyed the fans. I (don't) hope he finds as many fans at the Etihad, because if all of this gets exposed, he won't have many here. PS I'm saying all of this in assumption that BBC and New York Times are correct. Addendum: The "break clause" was an insurance for City in case he sucks so they can deport him to MLS to at least earn them some cash. Maybe that's why Lamps has looked so invigorated - he's playing for something.
  14. NYC may have given their blessing to the contract extension, but was there any mention of a loan? I just quickly searched for the article you're talking about (link) and did Ctrl+F "loan" but nothing came up. I didn't read it fully but a quick skim of the article is pretty much a recycled story about Lampard extending his stay there, with New York's (aka City's playtoy) blessing. As if a loan wasn't bad enough, it gets clearer that he is actually a full-time player for Manchester City. And the fact that he together with City schemed and conned around that deal this way is the last straw. I now want concrete evidence that this is a loan, otherwise I'm done.
  15. I just realized Terry has scored only 3,5 times less goals than our all-time top goalscorer.
  16. Thanks. And also New York Times: Lampard’s decision to stay in England also confirmed that he was never technically an M.L.S. player, even though New York City F.C.’s news release announcing his signing said Lampard “had signed a two-year contract which starts Aug. 1.” But Lampard’s salary did not appear in a list distributed by the M.L.S. players union this fall — in Major League Soccer, the league owns all player contracts — even though several of his teammates’ did. And in announcing that Lampard would stay through the end of the Premier League season, Manchester City said that it had “extended” his deal. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/02/sports/soccer/frank-lampard-lifts-manchester-city-as-fans-in-new-york-fume.html?_r=0
  17. Has it actually been confirmed? I know there are speculations, but could provide a trustworthy source?
  18. At this rate JT will reach 700 before hanging his boots.
  19. The poll shows that there really isn't a discussion.
  20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMw4lMuoNpg
  21. Remy and Zouma are crying out for more game time every time they play.
  22. Lmao @ 17:02... it looks like Hazard planted three guys on their asses, including one of his own.
