Disgraceful if he is left without a tribute match. This pre-season would have been perfect.

Oh Chelsea TV, you silly @2:25
-
Lampard definitely.

The German Messi that guy is, yup.

Who cares what red nose says, he was just bitter about Kagawa. 32M was by no means overspending only 2 years ago, the market was already blown back then. And also considering that every single club in the world was after him, Hazard was THE man to get. I can't see how anybody at that time could say we overspent.
-
I don't remember there being any consensus on Hazard's price being expensive. In fact I remember the opposite - most thought it was reasonable, even on the cheaper side.

Doesn't take a lot to surprise you, does it.
-
Are you willing to bet all your possessions on it?
-
It just chilled out on him for quite a bit lol THAT THING IS HUGE. Sure it's not fake?

I have a feeling that the next big thing is going to be 3-5-2 (or 5-3-2, depending how you see it), like Holland played. We witnessed its defensive solidity and effective counter-attacks. I can see at least underdogs starting to employ it more often.

Lahm's touches in WC

We will sign some squad players I believe. Some smart man said that managers lie, maybe it was Jose himself. And he certainly lies quite often.
-
Which of his RM players did he have a good relationship with?
-
Good, hopefully we'll see none of this bullshit switching the ball to the stronger foot and fucking up a glorious chance to shoot. Seen that too often and it's unbelievably annoying when players do that. JUST SHOOT FFS. Sorry, mini rant over.

How many games did Kalou play as striker anyway? Doubt he was regarded as one in Chelsea. Even Anelka was a winger/midfielder/goalkeeper/steward in his more recent time, but granted, he was still a central forward... somewhat. But they were both moved aside for a superior player, which is fair enough. The story of Sturridge however is tragic and shouldn't have happened. Ba on the other hand was never going to regularly spearhead our attacks, he was bought as an attempt to patch our weaknesses, not fix them. Now that we have (hopefully) fixed them, it was the right time for him to move. For all his faults he still had his strengths and was often very useful, so I guess we can call his spell as a 'patch' successful.

I'm maybe getting ahead of myself, but it does look like with those 3 key signings we are now much stronger than last season. MUCH stronger. Champions League is a lot about opportunity and luck, but I wouldn't put it past us to go all the way. But still, I would prefer the league if I had to choose Happy with this signing.

I probably laughed more than I should have.

68 pace? Same as Matic and Mikel. No defending ability either, shooting is average, passing is for n00bs and dribbling is only useful with pace.... GET RID

Ashley Cole: English players in a "comfort zone" Ashley Cole believes that English footballers are happy to remain in the "comfort zone" of the Premier League. Currently, all 23 members of England's World Cup squad ply their trade in Great Britain, whereas other nations tend to have at least some of their players based in foreign leagues. However, Cole, who has just joined Italian side Roma, has hinted that it is easier for England players to stay at home, rather than broaden their horizons abroad. "I think perhaps English players feel in their comfort zone in England. It's a big opportunity for me to try a different language, culture and way of living. I'm happy with my choice," he told reporters. Cole is the only Englishman in Serie A.

Where would we fit him? Would he or Oscar accept playing second fiddle to the other? Or should we offload Oscar to accomodate him? In theory it would be good to have both, but I don't think that would work very well. Yes, you could say that throughout the season both would get a respectable amount of games, but we all know that when Jose finds his starting XI, he doesn't let go of it very lightly. One of them would be reduced to bit-part player like Luiz, Mikel or Mata last season and for an ambitious player that's not good enough.
