  1. Sorry, have to disagree here. Fabregas is usually clearly the deeper one. Defensively it doesn't matter, our formation is then anyway all 5 back doing whatever necessary to get the ball and help to defend. Offensively in transition: Fabregas - Matic Willian - Oscar - Hazard In final third looking for the breakthrough: Matic Willian - Fabregas - Oscar - Hazard True Oscar drops deep sometimes, but in general Fabregas is deeper. I think if you look at some games' average position graphics, you would see it.
  2. Marina Granovskaia She got some massive balls (granted, in her ears, but still).
  3. This depends on who is better prepared and suited for the match. We have no way of knowing that.
  4. I thought he shat all over Luka. As did Cech... twice.
  5. Single-footedly saved us 2 points. Legend.
  6. Has Matic always been this good?
  7. Yes, but it all depends on how Cuadrado will take on the "Willian role". If you have Fabregas and the amazing outside striker Ivanovic sharing the same side with you, you are either bound to be covered with dirt and sore feet, or the bench. And in Willian's case he HAS to up his productivity, because even though Oscar may not seem like much to replace, but he is still a player who can play shit but still be productive. When Willian plays shit, he simply plays shit.
  8. Couldn't help but chuckle at the Bamford comparisons, because I know if Kane was playing for us in this form, everybody would be drowning in their cum and think Bamford is a pub on a corner of some suburbian street. The guy seems to have it all, but it's crucial things don't go over his head, that he copes with the pressure, avoids serious injuries yada yada... But as long as he's a spud I will be rooting for his failure and demise.
  9. I know what you mean and I somewhat agree with your post, but all the players you named are either defensive mids or B2B. Actually I view Oscar more as a b2b mid who's position on paper is the nr. 10, but in reality his role is different. Oscar (+Willian) makes it easier for Fabregas to advance. I've noticed a few times in defensive situations Willian and Oscar (both are basically b2b players) drop close to Cesc's zone when he's out of position or simply overloaded in his area. I've no doubt if both him and Willian were given more freedom, they would be less sloppy and more productive in attack and be viewed more as classical playmaker and winger. But we would be conceding shitloads as a result, and we all know this is not the Mourinho way.
  10. One clever fella made a point in the Zouma thread about him having started only in home games. If Zouma starts the next home game and Cahill next away game, then I say he pretty much nailed it. When Zouma starts starting away games too and performing in them, then I say there is a real chance of him permanently displacing GC. The fact that Zouma performed in two consecutive BIG home games hints towards Mourinho taking steps in bedding him in, but maybe he feels he's not quite yet ready to do it away in front of hostile crowd. I have a feeling Zouma is Mou's next Varane, based on the way he talks about him and how he already trusted him.
  11. Actually that makes more sense because in this phrase there is an intent on actually fulfilling the purpose (fixing something). You could look at it the opposite, i.e. they never try to fix this, but this makes less sense when the conditional "if" word is used, because if you don't try, then there is no condition to base this on. There could be absurd intents, like for example meaning if they have the will-power to not fix something they really need/want to, this is why it can't be completely dismissed (there are some spectacular morons out there), though it can be logically dismissed. So the wording is odd (nobody usually stresses the opposite of what they aim to achieve), though the phrasing is correct. But the "could care less" phrase clearly has intent on caring, no two ways of looking at it. EDIT: Oh yeah... GO CHELSEA! :blue scalf:
  12. Same here. When I can, I watch. When I can't, is either when I have no internet, no streams, the game isn't on TV or I have more important things to do. However, I will not miss any finals or super decisive games unless I can't do anything about it.
  13. I don't think I can find the forgiveness in my heart, brother.
  14. Except in both of those line-ups Oscar wasn't present, Cuadrado was the last sub hence Mikel was already in the team.
  15. He was very forward thinking. Made a few dribbles, one of which resulted in a corner. Then a few times he gave a pass and made quick movement behind the line. Positive.
  16. Considering it was Villa away I'll take the scrappy 3 pts and run thank you very much :tophat:
  17. Have we ever performed well in a third kit? As if away kit's not bad enough.
  18. You will regret it when we eventually win from a corner nodded by Cahill and scored by Drogba.

  21. Signed. Even though I don't attend games due to obvious reasons, but I feel for everyone who has to pay extortionate amounts to attend games (especially long distance away games).
