The players put in similar shifts under AVB. Terry was ostracized and Lampard was captain, but even he didn't look like he cared. The difference was that the players had more quality and mental strength not to slip so low, but effort was similar. I remember people praising Luiz for being the only one looking like he cared game after game, similar to what we have been saying about Willian this season. The old guard times weren't perfect, they had their issues, but the quality in general was simply higher.

Did you lose a bet or smth with that new username and exclusive 'bellends' group?

Actually with everything that's happened, it should be changed to they have divine right to lose no matter what.

No question I would sign that deal. With proper midfield and central defence everything else will fall in place too. I have given him a lot of stick this season, but I have a feeling Ivanovic would become his solid self again in a team that will not isolate him 1-on-1 every attack. Ideally he would be backup to Azpilicueta and the left spot will be fought between Baba and Ake. The competition between Baba and Ake would be something to behold, two unproven youngsters giving their all to win that place - I definitely want to see that! I miss the days when we had competition in the squad. -
Are those the same people who suck Wenger's nuts when they win and cut them off when they draw or lose?

Conte seems to favour 4-4-2 by what I have read. Let's imagine this is true, does he fit in a 2-man midfield? Who would you partner him with? Definitely not Fabregas, Radja or Vidal is a good shout though. If we start playing 2 in the middle, then I don't see a place for him unfortunately. He looks like a typical 4-3-3 player to me. What formation did Chelsea U21 play and what was his role?

Just out of curiosity, can you highlight any incidents from the past that has made you dislike them so much? It's always interesting to hear oldschool fans' stories. I am like Henrique, I have no particular hatred towards Spurs, because they have no fans over here But Man United for example is a global brand and people are their "fans" because it's cool, that I fucking hate. Especially when some used to taunt me when we lost to them or something, but they couldn't name the scorers let alone any players besides Rooney and Ronaldo. Fuck United, or rather their fake fans. I have also developed a disliking towards Liverpool by natural rivalry on football pitch. The encounters are always heated and mean a lot, plus they act like twats. My first game I saw was Chelsea vs. Liverpool, that was when I decided to go blue because I remember being impressed by their grit and determination (particularly Terry, I think he had a gashed head after an aerial challenge or smth). Arsenal I don't hate, they are a good joke nothing more than that.

Baker is a good shout, I've always rated him. But there is so much silence around him, it seems the fans are the only ones talking about him from time to time. There have been no signs from the club that they are looking to continue with him. -

Christensen and Ake provided they will be afforded proper game time. I am also willing to give Cuadrado another chance under Conte. Christensen saves us signing another CB and Ake gives solid options for LB and DM as cover if nothing else. Both are home-grown too afaik, so I see why not start bedding them in. They are going 20+ already, are not sucking on mummy's titties anymore and have proven they can play with men like men. -
It's laughable how literally every year since 2003 they are in transition when Jose took a huge dump on them, they still haven't recovered in 13 years Bringing in young players, but them amounting to nothing. Team full of average players with some rare world class talent thrown in the mix, but it is not enough. I can't believe Wenger is still the manager, he was good for 7 years, but now he's a dinosaur. The club have no ambition is the only explanation I can think of.

Question to staff: are posts like that allowed again? I remember a rule was introduced that prohibited insults towards our own players. Did the rule go out the window when Torres left? Can I re-upload my DonkeyTorres avatar that I was forced to take down? @Special Juan, @Jason

OUT: Cahill, Ivanovic, Matic, Mikel, Oscar, Pato, Remy, Falcao Rest keep. -
He cannot be B2B if his stamina is low. It would be stupid to give him a role he cannot fulfill to full potential. I think the role he is playing at the moment suits him, though he is not a no.10, so I don't think the formation we employ is the best for him.

Sunderland after Jose's sacking he was MOTM too.

Good points, you might be right.

I knew that those celebrity charities are a publicity hoax, but less than 1%? That's worse than I expected. And Didier out of all people? Disappointed. EDIT: "The UK charity — which is registered to the office of a PR company — has held four fundraising balls in top central London hotels for its multi-millionaire donors." There you go.

Damn people, how can you remember so specifically what happened 3-4 years ago?
-
He needed more time to adapt, Mourinho with his short-term vision had no patience to wait. And despite the numbers, Luis was in and out of the team, mostly out when he could and should have been in. It was favouritism, Luis had no chance, because "11 Azpilicuetas can win you the CL" - after such comment from Jose you know the player has to retire for anybody else to get a look in.
-
Come on guys, Baba Rahman is obviously better, no? In seriousness, I have to agree that we made many appalling transfers. Such things essentially cancel out the brilliant signings of the likes of Fabregas, Costa and Willian.

Lol at all the Conte avatars appearing all of a sudden. People are so predictable

Manolas coming in doesn't mean Christense will be cast aside, but he will probably spend another season in Germany. We need a more experienced defender, relying on youngsters and below-par old CBs we currently have is too risky. Cahill is skating on thin ice, Terry is on the verge of leaving and so is Ivanovic (all three are not good enough anymore). Only Zouma is close to the quality we should have, and none of us knows how he will recover. I can see Manolas-Zouma-Christensen-new CB being our central defence in 2 seasons.

Keeping Hazard this summer will feel like a new signing to me. I am 99% sure his next season won't be anywhere near as bad.
