  1. He is key, he enables us to play 3-4-3. Without him, imagine Matic and Fabregas running our midfield - we'd get regularly slaughtered. We can afford to play only 2 midfielders thanks to him. Kante at the moment is indispensable to us and he was the same at Leicester. His impact may be bigger than we initially thought, with him Leicester of all clubs won the league, now they are in ruins after he left. We were in ruins last season, but he joins and all of a sudden we look much better. Of course it's too simplistic to say that it is all on Kante, but no doubt he makes a BIG difference and it is rare to see one player making such an impact straight away even when he was new to the league.
  2. So they tried to sign him from France, but couldn't because Leicester financially outmuscled them? GG Wenger, shit club.
  3. Nathan Ake has broken through at Chelsea and is determined to keep his place Lol what.. One cup game and he has "broken through"? Like Bertrand broke through? He didn't even make the bench against pool. If past evidence is anything to go by then by next season he'll be loaned out again, sold or far behind in the pecking order. He is obviously a stop-gap between January and summer because we couldn't sign anybody. His positions will be strengthened by imports and he will soon be forgotten at this club, that's my prediction. All this hype around him is unnecessary at the moment, he hasn't proven anything and if this keeps up then his head will be turned by the hype like countless other former future superstars.
  4. You can count on us to spoil their party.
  5. Tbf had the keeper gone the other way we'd all be praising the penalty. It just happened that this time the keeper guessed it right, it happens.
  6. Those two players alone would improve us so much, it's a shame it will never happen
  7. Because we have come to expect it, he is pretty bad when it comes to making decisive decisions. He was far worse than Hazard, but only he gets singled out when our front 3 are performing poorly.
  8. So the board failed once again. Embarrassing.
  9. Even if we take out his penalty failure, he still had a horrible game imo. Nothing came out. Was worse than Hazard, dunno why people concentrate only on him when he has a subpar game.
  10. That last ditch tackle he made in the box though followed by Firmino's derp... dope And I did notice him trying to create something out of nothing, but the problem was that we were too few and limited in attack. He had only Costa and Willian to combine with, who were not on the same wavelength with him. In the end they neutralized him pretty effectively because we simply can't handle intense pressure with composure.
  11. What an embarrassing post, go shiver in shame you hateful . "I hate Cahill more than Suarez" lmao GTFO
  12. Fabregas came on too late imo, our game really improved with him. We were in control and closer to winning it once we went 3-5-2 and could have pushed it had he come on ~10mins earlier, but meh, a draw is good enough.
  13. Journos aren't even trying anymore. All about the clicks!
  14. Both Ake and Kenedy are for the left side, doesn't really count. Kenedy doesn't fill me with confidence either, he was never a full-back and I don't believe he will make it here.
  15. So we are actually weakening this window rather than strengthening, great.
  16. On 26th Feb every Chelsea fan will temporarily convert to Southampton fans (except for the few who wish Mourinho well). I really REALLY want Soton to win, they deserve it more than those overrated mugs at manchester. Besides EFL cup is a drop in a tea cup for MUTD, but for a club like Southampton it's huge.
  17. Yeah, Leicester didn't put up much of a resistance. We are actually very shrewd in the market apart from one big fuck up (Torres) which was ages ago. After that we have been making tons of smart buys and smart sales (except for, you know, De Bruyne and a few others).
  18. Didn't mention him because he was 3rd choice iirc.
  19. Some clowns think they can milk €100m from us The Chinese and the bastards from Manchester have distorted the market so much. We are not blameless in this of course because we were the first in England who started this, but have we really reached a point in just a few years where people consider 100 million for a 30 year old reasonable? Just 5 years ago we bought Hazard for €37m, 2 years ago Costa for the same amount. Let that sink in. The reported €65m fee is inflated enough as it is, but I would take that because he'd improve us immensely and you cannot expect sustained success by not overspending a bit.
  20. I don't see anything wrong with that, people are just so stuck in their consumerism. The only point to making different kits every year is to sell them to people who want the latest and greatest. I wouldn't mind having the same perfectly designed kit for several years.
  21. How is he physically? Still at the top of his game or declining? Has he had any serious injuries lately? Vidal and Sanchez used to be a a dream of mine, still is, getting Vidal would make 50% of that come true.
  22. He is right about that - we do have a wonderful life without him. Always the victim, always the one being wronged. If he hadn't choked last season, we would be in Europe as this season proves we are more than good enough to finish top 4, not one place above relegation. And we will win the title to his dismay immediately after his choke season... love it.
  23. Referring to the article above? He didn't use "we", he said "they".
  24. Yeah but together with Torres also came Luiz And he is far from flop.
