  1. You know Spike, I'm quite high at the moment so I cba to read back your long ass posts with FB. Is there anything I can do to settle your differences?
  2. They would carry on their lives. Two blokes on the street making nigger jokes to each other? It's normal, nobody gives a shit. But it also depends on the situation, for example somebody spewing racist shit could lead to an argument, and depending on the consumed alcohol levels it could lead to a fight So who knows what the reaction would be? Depends on how annoying and ignorant the racist is I guess. PS I see you had some sort of argument with FB over this. I'll try to read it back.
  3. You misunderstood. When I said "public racists", I meant exactly a situation where there would be a target and others are witnessing it. In this case I was thinking more of a situation in a football match where a black player would be thrown with banana peels and yelled at with disgusting insults. And by "fair treatment" I didn't necessarily mean a fight, but anything that would be done to shut him/them up.
  4. Interesting question. I don't know how to answer that, why would anybody care about racists? Racially motivated criminal actions are rare over here, I think one of the main reasons is because like you said - there is no one to be racist against other than tourists. Talking about football, then there are (or have been) some black players in our clubs. Haven't heard about or witnessed any (serious) incidents. Throwing banana skins and making monkey noises would blow up the media and put pressure on governing bodies to do something about it. Our attendances in premier league games are measured in tens and hundreds, there are no big organized "ultras" groups to make trouble, and because of that solitary trouble-makers can be dealt with quickly without having it escalated into something more dangerous. Anyway, if aggressive racist behaviour is witnessed, people will care. Why? Because for every asshole there are 50 decent people.
  5. I don't understand your question, sorry.
  6. Yeah assholes are everywhere. I was also talking about football specifically, behaviour like this wouldn't be tolerated in this day. And because there are so few actual match-going spectators, offenders would be easily identified and banned. Generally speaking I can't deny that a lot of people are "racist" here, and by that I don't mean extreme violent loud racists, but mostly quiet prejudiced stereotyping racists. We are shy and keep everything to ourselves, so there is no massive persecution of black people like in Russia or whatever, only the odd dickhead here and there. This type of racism is more prevalent among the Soviet generation for obvious reasons, independence time Euro generation is now growing up and mentalities are shifting. However, this recent immigration floodgate and terrorist actions across the globe aren't helping, people are naturally more scared and hateful towards different kind and not just here, but everywhere. Bottom line is that Estonian racism cannot be compared to what you mean when you refer to Eastern Europe or Russia, totally different attitudes and people.
  7. Nope. If you mean Latvia and Lithuania then maybe, I don't know, but leave Estonia out of it. Footballing community is very very small here, public racists would get their fair treatment in no time by other fans.
  8. The fact that Didier himself vouches for him is good enough for me. Lifelong Chelsea fan too. Only 23, will only get better, don't know any strikers who peaked at 23 so best is yet to come and he's Golden Boot material already. Big, strong, fast, clinical, ambitious. All the deficiencies he has can be worked on with Conte. I know I have criticized and rejected him before, but honestly I wouldn't mind him rejoining us. This time he would show what he can really do.
  9. Swap Cahill with Azpi and I'm good. Him being English probably got him there. Not sure if DDG deserves to be there instead of Courtois too, haven't seen him as much so I'll give the benefit of doubt.
  10. Wasn't the wonderkid Dembele in Celtic? So many Dembeles around I'm confused...
  11. This guy turned 18 just 5 months ago. You seriously want a kid to lead the line of league and CL chasers? In a 2 striker system maybe, but as a lone striker I'd be mighty skeptical. I hope he stays in Monaco and doesn't join any big club yet, Monaco is giving him the perfect platform to develop and establish himself, elsewhere the change and pressure might kill the young boy. Playing as the main striker for Chelsea in England is a whole different thing. I'd rather we replaced Costa with a proven and experienced striker and have our own Tammy as backup.
  12. Not to mention there will be constant doubts on whether he wants to actually be here. Keeping such a mercenary as your undisputed nr. 9 is a dangerous game.
  13. I know. I just came here to troll those who jumped on Neymar's dick after that PSG game while criticizing Hazard. So I'm not even interested in having a debate on who's "better", I'm just interested in sticking those damning stats in those peoples' faces. Bonus: He gave the ball away 41 times against the mighty Borussia Monchengladbach in the group stage and 38 times in the first leg against PSG. It cannot be confirmed whether his profligacy is an all-time record but it is the worst performance in terms of keeping the ball since Hulk in 2014, when the Zenit forward lost possession 41 times. Hulk > Neymar.
  14. If this is true that our main wing-back, center-back and striker are missing, then we're fucked. One or two key absentees is bad enough, three is impossible to replace in this squad, although losing Costa could be a blessing. Massive game in terms of the cup and also the league, because the winner of this tie will have a psychological upper hand for the rest of the season.
  15. Amazing, he surprises the world again with his talent. Hazard can only dream of losing the ball 38 times in a game, he has a long way to go before reaching Neymar the GOAT level EDIT: Even better - Neymar surrendered possession a staggering 46 times against Juventus... that's more than any player in the Champions League this season Fuck Hazard when you have a turnover king like Neymar who can make a fancy pass once in a while that Eden supposedly can't.
  16. The whole team in this season? I don't know, not a lot. One by Diego that I know, and maybe a few by GC from corners but other than that I don't recall.
  17. Relax no one is gonna sign him for that. Don't think we'd pay over 60 for him.
  18. Wtf? I know different opinions and all that, but wow.
  19. Wonder if the reason for the timing of this announcement was to motivate the team to win the league for him?
  20. The way he stood like a statue for Utd's 2nd goal and the only movement he made was away from the ball instead of trying to block it, was shocking. No desire, couple that with GC helping up Lingard at the same time and you don't have to look far why we conceded 2 soft goals.
  21. Too early to say. The plan B this squad allows he uses when needed.
