Depends on how that would happen. If he lost out in competition for his place then fair enough, but if he gets replaced by someone simply because he didn't cost 40 million or smth then yeah that would suck. Competition is healthy as long as it's not monopoly for brands/money a la United.

The quotes I've seen about this are harmless (see the espn link), couldn't find anything about feeding or using it to explain Pogba's performances. Unless they left out something said in the press conference I don't see any problem.

Luckily he got enough to challenge for the title. It might have been a blessing in disguise too, Conte was busy with Euros last summer and it's questionable how much time he had to analyze the squad in depth without having actually worked with them. Now that he has we might have a clearer idea of who he wants now. It's also possible the board didn't trust him enough last summer, there shouldn't be any trust issues anymore. I expect a strong window now that we have more money, two league titles in three years and a better image. Last summer we were the team that imploded and finished 10th playing shit, no CL football either. We will definitely be a more appealing destination for a lot of players now with the positive reputation we are gaining and CL football. I'm confident we'll get a few cracking players.

Willian hasn't played RWB before so I doubt it. It's more likely that Pedro will play there, but I think Zouma will be replacing him and Azpi moves to RWB. Not ideal but we have to make do with what we got.

I saw that, couldn't believe what I had just heard Was it a slight dig at Lampard too? He was pretty critical of Pogba with Carragher and rightly so. But Jose's response was just wow. I know he hasn't been good but that's stretching it. For all his bad overall play, Diego has one of the best if not the best goal scoring ratios in Chelsea. Can't say the same about the other two, especially Torres who was useless all around.

As we so often see teams are totally different beasts at home. They have 3 away goals, 2-0 or 3-1 is very achievable. This CL season is crazy as hell anyway, anything can happen.

I agree, Gattuso is a better comparison. However he was a dirty player with discipline issues, Kante is a very clean tackler.
