  1. suggested he's been in the top 5 best 'keepers in the league since forever now . "we have the best back-up" is as far as most comments would go, with hardly any singing his praises or putting faith in the idea of him as a potential #1 for us. (Nevermind the reminders that he's a "good player but not a top one", for some reason.)He's been on Cech's level for a couple years, and has surpassed Cech's current level. Just a few weeks ago, such a comment was thrown onto the "undiagnosed delusion" pile where the posts the majority disagree with get thrown. Now, I hope it's more agreed. Begovic is the shit. He is UP there. He is, but to call him better than Cech is obscene, IMO.
  2. There are only four ways we'll sign Pogba: 1) On FIFA 15/16. 2) We offer them Bale/Ronaldo type money. £80m at least. 3) In order to achieve 2), we offer them Torres type money, £50m, and throw in one or two squad players. 4) In our dreams. Frankly, 2) and 3) won't happen. Why should Juve sell, but, more to the point, why should he leave Juventus? They showed faith in him when United didn't. Plus he's just taken the number ten shirt over there as well. A player entertaining thoughts of leaving wouldn't swap into the most coveted shirt in football, would he? Realistically, we should be going for someone who would be less than half that cost, like Witsel, who'd still strengthen our squad massively.
  3. If this guy gets us 15 goals this season, Hazard gets us 20, and Costa, Falcao and Remy between them can provide 35, we have half a chance of competing.
  4. No chance will Pedro start. Baba has half a chance after almost a full week of training.
  5. Contrastingly, a right side with Pedro and Ivanovic sounds like dropped points.
  6. Or on the wing. He's incredibly versatile, though 95% of his football at l'OL last season was as a 9.
  7. There's nothing to suggest we didn't approach those players, get told where to go, and then have to identify alternate targets.
  8. José got what he wanted out of the City game - he got the board to realise we need to invest.
  9. I'VE JUST SEEN A HELICOPTER. Forget the fact I live 125 miles away from the Bridge, I SAW A FUCKING HELICOPTER.
  10. Thanks for your thoughts. Would you not argue that he brings more end product than Willian, however? FAKE.
  11. It would seem so. Where is he going to play for them? I don't want Bayern all that much, but it seems to me that Pep prefers him as a wing option (largely that's down to Ribery's and Robben's injury problems, admittedly) as opposed to a forward, which is what United really could do with. There's no reason why he can't play as a centre forward but he really isn't the type of striker they need. For that money they could have signed Cavani or Higuain, in which case I would be worried. Very good player, just not what United need, IMO.
  12. That means United are going big and are now after Muller, I'm guessing. Edit -
  13. No, we're being rickrolled by the Catalunyan media.
  14. You can almost imagine this coming on over the stadium PA as the line-ups are read out:
  15. Who do you think would have benefited most from his acquisition: Chelsea or Manchester United? I'd be interested in hearing your reasoning.
  16. Won't happen. All bullshit. When Sky or the BBC start saying it's official, I'll believe it. Until then, I'm still envisaging Juan Cuadrado getting his arse kicked by Gareth fucking McAuley.
  17. LOL for two reasons: 1) This won't happen, he's going to United. 2) A month ago, he was average according to most of you. Now this is equivalent to the Second Coming and we're about to sign Jesus himself.
  18. Stones could make this a lot easier for us and hand in a transfer request.
  19. There is a good degree of veracity in this statement as, unless Loic went running around Salford with his dong hanging out, Falcao indeed is better at flopping in Manchester.
