Pato is still technically on pre-season and Hazard is coming back from two injuries and is sensibly being introduced slowly. Makes perfect sense.
-
Brilliant match. Entertaining. 1-1 is a fair result - both keepers were excellent today, might have been 4-4 on another day.

I have the most neutral English accent possible coming from the East Midlands, so you'd find my voice quite boring!

Shame, quite fancy some yuk sung.

Absolutely atrocious. Get rid.

His team selection was piss poor. The game was decided the minute he gave a game to Matic, and fielded Oscar - whose level is clearly Championship standard - ahead of Hazard. You couldn't blame him for the team he played at Old Trafford, but tonight he set up for a fucking draw against fucking Watford, and that isn't excusable.
-
Did he fuck. He's signed his own death warrant. No way Abramovich will lose face here.
-
Precisely. However we won't come cheap and the club won't give him full backing in the transfer business as that'll put Emenalo out of a job, wouldn't it? So that looks unlikely. So, to me, with Pep gone, the best candidate is Guus Hiddink.
-
This club really is a joke, sometimes. It doesn't deserve John Terry.
-
That'll raise his price by a few bob in the summer.

I'll take anyone at the Bridge.
-
He had a great game. Should have scored twice, though.
-
Thank god we had the penalty and he scored - otherwise he'd be remembered in this game for fluffing the 1v1. He almost had too much time to think about what he wanted to do. He's better when he's in an spontaneous position and does something instinctive. Otherwise he tends to over-think.
-
Me neither, but if it's a bad one, don't complain about it in here. He's obviously being given a free ride by a lot of the people on here and they won't stand for criticism
-
Will be interested to see how he does in Germany. I remember having an argument with Pacquiao about how he wasn't good enough for us, with Pacquaio telling me how much French football I watch. Good times.

That's your opinion. I stick by mine. Hazard has been useless and only apologists will try and excuse the fact he's been a failure. If Hazard turns it around suddenly, then fair play to him. Doesn't excuse his performances, or lack of. I find it funny when you use statistics to make a point, but neglect the most important one. Goals. Willian, 8. Hazard, 0. Edit: You're entitled to have your opinion, and I can respect the opinions of other people. But there is no excusing the whole squad for this season. Big players have to stand out and be counted. Hazard has been arguably worse than Matic. That says something.
-
Just my opinion. Not a fan of him.

Azpi's smile always reminds me of Terminator 2.

I think MK Dons fans would prefer to see Pedro play. Here in England, or at least where I live, there is so much excitement over Kenedy. People view him as a genuine talent, a bit of a wildcard. Unpredictably explosive when in possession. People realise Pedro is average, capable of mustering either a decent shot or a decent cross every other game. I only know this because whenever we have games at the end of training games, I make my Under 9s choose a Chelsea player. Hazard, Diego and Courtois are the first names chosen - then it's always Kenedy, Willian and Fabregas. The kids think he's great, and they're usually the best at spotting little gems.
-
Always knew Azpi was the sly dog of the team. Clearly checking out Cesc's ass.

The past season has shown be he is absolutely useless. The start to the season Costa had was ridiculously poor, yet José would risk playing a half-fit Diego and even Falcao ahead of Remy. Even Guus is grudging in the time he gets. It is quite clear to me that neither manager rates him particularly high, and he is arguably more injury prone than Diego, too. I wouldn't miss him and I'm not afraid to admit I got this one wrong. He isn't the player I expected him to be. He scored one or two important goals (Stoke, Hull, City, etc.), but he is even worse than Kalou at staying onside. A big step down in quality from our previous French striker, Anelka. He isn't a top striker. Then again, neither are Pato or Falcao. But Remy might as well move on, and it'll be for the benefit of all parties.

Fuck FIFA full stop.
-
I would argue that, on this season's evidence, Higuain should be in that second bracket.
-
I agree, but only with your point regarding Diego. You can excuse the striker for cutting an isolated figure when the midfield behind him can boast the same inventiveness and incisiveness that a three year-old could. But that is the issue - Hazard has been, all season, akin to that three year-old midfielder. He looks absolutely useless at everything he attempts. There is an obvious crisis of confidence and the only conclusion I can come to is that the boy's heart isn't at Chelsea. He seems to have lost his hunger, whilst Diego has had his reinvigorated. I'm not holding out for a similar transformation by Eden. But anyway, this is Diego's thread.

January 2014: Matic Summer 2014: Fabregas, Costa, Felipe Luis January 2015: Cuadrado Summer 2014: Begovic, Falcao, Djilobodji, Hector, Pedro January 2015: Pato, Miazga The fucking state of it. You can sort of cross the Cuadrado one off as he is a decent player but clearly not cut out for PL football. We'll get most of the fee back for him. But the rest (Begovic the only exception), since Luis - laughable.
