Though the exact figure has yet to be confirmed, Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has confirmed there is a clause in Courtois' loan deal to the Spanish side that means the club must cough up a hefty fee for the young Belgian to feature against the Blues. Sky Sports are reporting that the clause operates per match, meaning Atletico would have to cough up as much as £8 million for Courtois to play over two legs. It means that Dani Aranzubia, the 34-year-old second-choice keeper, would be likely to start, with Cerezo claiming the fee is "too much" for his club to even contemplate paying.
