  1. Don't tell the media Wilmots is following my advice for his line up ! They will be all over me then! And yes, he misunderstood Dembele and played Chadli, small mistake!
  2. ok it's officially in all belgian media as well! YES!!! Also love his quote: "I'm sure I can play as many games as at West Brom + if I don't manage to succeed at the Bridge this season, I got to be honest and admit I don't deserve to go to the WC in Brazil!" Love his ambition and I'm sure he will succeed! We better get used to this image boys:
  3. He had an immediate impact on the game... that's for sure! His first touch (backheel) came in short. But afterwards in like 5 minutes... he set up two of the best attacks we've seen all night! Amazing action to set De Bruyne free at the right wing... perfect assist to Benteke... but he failed to score! Afterwards Eden disappeared a little in the game since it was all defending we had to do. But in general... good to see him on the pitch again! I don't think he still was suffering from his injury (we would have never let him play then)! So in general: good game Eden!!
  4. Interesting small fact many of you probably didn't know yet: Do you know the meaning of his first name? ROMELU? ANSWER => he's named after his father: Roger Menama Lukaku Do you see it? ROger MEnama LUkaku Now go brag to your friends about your endless knowledge as a true blue!! :blue scalf:
  5. http://www.sporza.be/cm/sporza/voetbal/Rode_Duivels/130607_courtois_voor_de_match Translation: "At this moment, my only focus is on the game against serbia" At the question: How are you coping with all the compliments and people guessing about your future? Are you staying one extra year in Madrid or are you following ex-Real coach Mourinho to Chelsea? => I will give a press conference about this topic on Saturday. At this moment only the game counts". I rather see this as Courtois holding off the 100 questions about his future every time he comes in front of the press. He's such a professional that he only wants to talk about the upcoming game and stay focused on that. So I also think Thibaut is thinking: Saturday, the game against Serbia is over. Then I can talk about my future. => this could well mean he finally has news about his future. Extra year in Madrid or back to London. I can see no other options. One more day of patience!
  6. Yo Peace, appreciate the time & effort you put in your posts. To me they make sense. First of all, where were you when I had to write my thesis ? Seems like could have been a hell of a help with your pen!!!!! Although I understand what you are saying here above and I agree on some topics... must say that for me KDB should be called back to the Bridge. Here's why I think he's ready: After crushing the Belgian League he now also proved his qualities in the German league. Being 'player to watch', keeping Werder in the Bundesliga with his actions & goals + being wanted by all major clubs in Germany (probably Bayern has also informed about a loan)... => solid season! He's just a quality player with amazing talent that even a 5 year old (girl ) would notice how much potential he has! His crosses are sick! I haven't seen this crosses since Vercauteren (former belgian player) and Gerrard. He perfectly sweeps the ball in front of goal with both left & right (how many players can do that?!!) => thus providing strikers with easy tap-ins or headers!Apart from his crosses he can of course also shoot the ball like a master! He can be played on both the wings & as a AM. At Genk he played on the wing (mostly left) for 2 seasons... ending his final season on the nr10 => all analysts immediately stated that his performances & work rate on the nr10 were even better than before!Besides his passing & attacking skills he now also shows to have improved his stamina a lot => no other player in the German Bundesliga had more miles on his counter than KDB at the end of the season: impressive!!Apart from Werder & Genk... KDB is playing on absolute top level in our NT this campaign. He easily can be given the man of the match award in 50% of our last 8 games (we are talking about the team with all the star players and KDB proves to be the most useful of them all game after game!!!)=> taking all this in notice... BUT most and for all analyzing what we now have in our squad... you must be foolish to let him go for another year. Moses has been good, but not great. Struggled a bit in the EPL and played good games in the EL. But to compare both at this same moment: KDB is clearly a better player.Ramires works a lot and I appreciate his warrior mentality... but the good games he had are also countered by bad games and foolish actions from time to time. KDB vs. Ramires => clearly different type of players but KDB has more quality. Ramires than again is better defensively.Oscar is slowly growing in the team. I like him and I think he can be very important for us in the next seasons. At this moment however... KDB is certainly as good as Oscar. So we can easily play them both in an alternated role.I will not compare KDB to Eden and Mata because those to stick out as it comes to our attacking midfield and clearly are better than KDB at this moment. However... (and I have been following Hazard for whole his career) I can tell you that KDB might bring the same magic to the Bridge than Eden does! And I'm serious about this!Do I need to start about Marin too. I feel sorry for the guy because I think he has potential. The only thing that is rather strange is that he couldn't force a place (even as a sub) into the team. Not with RDM & not with Benitez! So one can start doubting him. Jossi... Hmmm well yeah... don't think I need to tell a lot about him in comparison with KDB .Conclusion: KDB is at the same level or even above most of our current offensive midfield. Compared to the subs... I would easily say he's a lot better! KDB is a great talent that has proved himself in two leagues now. If we would have an ultra class offensive midfield with 5-6 players that cannot be topped... I would say a loan might be the best option considering his young age. But now? Get him back asap and let him play on the wings or even as a nr10 when needed. The bloke is more than ready! ps: sorry for writing my own dissertation here. My pen also seems to leak
  7. You might think "hey hmmmm, I've seen this goal before (return game against Sparta EL) when you see KDB's first goal. Now go and watch sec 30' of this video!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBgG28PzQ_M Exact copy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwdPHL7W7q8 I would say let KDB bring his magic (and amazing crosses) to the Bridge! ps: Just like Eden also KDB is known to be right footed :eyebrows:
  8. I don't expect him to start actually. Probably Witsel, Fellaini & Dembele in a triangle in CM + Mirallas & Debruyne on the wings. Benteke will be the striker. I expect Eden to come is as a sub around 60' for Mirallas or KDB.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrgjYHuCUEw No it's unfair to judge his year over one stupid mistake. But still... one action can unfortunately kill a reputation very fast (good with his feet )
  10. Mangala played for the Belgium team Standard de Liege before joing Porto in 2011. I must say he did rather well in de Belgian League and quickly got his place in the first team after former coach Laszlo Boloni gave him his chance in the 1st team at age 17-18. I remember him as a quick and strong CB + trustworthy. After two seasons at Standard he was on his way to Valencia. Both teams had an agreement but the transfer was cancelled because one of (this might be a problem!!) his managers wasn't involved in the negotiations. Luciano D'Onofio (Standards Manager and n°1 back then) had good connections in Portugal. Mangala and Defour were both transfered to Fc Porto. Transfer price = €7 million So I haven't really followed him at Porto but I know he's a good defender. But to say he's a GREAT defender that would easily fit in our starting line up????? I don't know about that! Pay €30 million for Eliaquim??? Give me a break please! He was good in the Belgian League but it was not that he really stood out like (for example) Vincent Kompany did. Defender for our starting line up? I don't know. €30 million? Foolish price. I guess Porto is trying to cash hard this summer! Floating a little after Monaco brought the $$$ signs in their eyes when buying Moutinho & Rodriguez!
  11. Yeah yeah, I know he probably will follow Moyes to United. But hey... you just never know. I also know a lot of members here don't like Fellaini and think he's nothing more than an elbow throwing powerhouse. This video here actually shows really well there's a lot more about Fellaini! Good ball distribution & protection, technique & link up play, vista/vision, assists & goals. Hmmm I don't know. Still think he might be a great addition to our midfield. The work he does defensively in midfield will relieve our Maestro's from this energy consuming defensive tasks and gives them all the liberty to focus on their main goal: offensive miracles! ps: I think our Moderators would easily fit on his chest to take a nap all together . Almost every high ball that comes his direction is put dead on his chest... almost impossible for defenders to cope with! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZFuxC1bdUk
  12. All across Belgian media that Jose would absolutely want Lukaku to play at the Bridge the upcoming season. "I want to make him my new Drogba" Also mentioning Mourinho wants Torres to look for another team.
  13. I would remain realistic about it. 480 nutmegs at most!
  14. Hopefully his retirement has nothing to do with Rom :ph34r2: :eyebrows: Anyways... plenty of other CB's to take on!
  15. I don't care that much about his dribbling abilities (although I think there isn't too much wrong with it)... as long as he scores goals, put pressure on any EPL defense, remains the lovely guy he is... and keeps tripping Carragher with his power and pace
  16. Today again in Belgian Media. I think there is a really good chance Thorgan will play for Anderlecht next season. Which is a GOOD thing! Best team in Belgium. Will gain some Champions League experience. Also will learn how to fight for his spot in the team. Competition at Anderlecht is far stronger than at his current team Zulte Waregem (where he more or less walked into the 1st team). Also his first 'top' team to play for. Will be a huge experience for him! All the best Thorgan. I will be following you from up close at Anderlecht!
  17. So they are picking teams with the best players of the world for a Fussball game. Musonda takes Eden in his team: * "He's belgian, a great example for me and of course a massive player! When I return to chelsea it is my dream to play together with both the Hazard brothers (Eden & Thorgan). Eden has already been an example for me since he started playing at Lille. He has always been one of my favorite players. Nowadays I see him often. We go out to have dinner together and talk about football & life in general. I think it's a good thing to have your idol next to you to talk about the future."
  18. Just scored against United! :blue scalf:
  19. Eden taking over the cup and raising him like a joker . VERY very funny! http://www.sporza.be/permalink/1.1630736
  20. Hiding or 'stealing' the Cup . He was such a yesterday night. But you got to love him. Such a joy to watch... both ON & OFF the pitch! http://media.vrtnieuws.net/GEO2013/05/230131211ONL1305155018865_GeoThumbnailDir_tmb/0025.jpg
  21. So our defence is being bullied by their attack. Our midfield is hardly present... running their brains out to close the gaps. Most of the time even surpassed by the use of the long ball (which almost always ends up with their GK). And then our attack... Nando. Count to that, that Mata has an off day and also Oscar is playing weak. => I think we're screwed!!
  22. Freeze at 2:39 - 2:40min! Synchronised ballet ! Maybe Eden should be punished for mocking defenders like that
  23. too bad we didn't finish this action off!
  24. That moment at 2.00mins. Pffffffffff => no matter how comfortable your couch is... actions like this one get's you on your feet right? These are the things that make you go to a football stadium. Very happy he shows his skills now in a Blue shirt!! Amazing game and also very decisive! This indeed has ALL to do with the fact he played on his favorite position. Nr 10 behind the strikers in a free role. You immediately notice that he is far more present in the game & built up. Which is by far his strongest point! He's so impossible to defend on isn't he. Funny when his defender had enough of all the action and decided to put some pressure on the little man (at min: 3:12) => Eden just turns around and makes an amazing run from midfield all the way to the 16 yards box... passing 4 defenders before finally delivering the pass to assist. More of this Eden! :blue scalf:
