Newsflash: A 20 year old boy managed to score 31(!) goals in his 2 first EPL seasons! Goals against all top teams: Man United (3!!!), Liverpool (2), Arsenal (2), Man City (1), ... except for Chelsea (oh yeah, he's not allowed to play against us)!! Yet news has spread that some fans are doubting if they want him back at the club ... => I really cannot find any words to describe this... really can't!! ps: STOP thinking he has attitude problems & he doesn't want to play as a 2nd striker next season. Romelu is a model pro who works his ass off every single day + he will be more than happy to play together with a TOP striker next season (together or sub him).

I really don't get the 'not willing to fight for his place' vibe. If there is something Lukaku alway does... it is fight for his place! BUT unless other complete fools... he also has brains. So he is also thinking about a good career plan. A loan was always the best option for him (Torres, Ba AND recently bought Eto'o before him in the picking list). I would sell Torres & Ba. Keep Eto'o... Buy Costa (if realistic) & bring Lukaku back to the bridge! He doens't feel 'to good' to start on the bench (like others are thinking here). I'm sure he will be more than happy to be the 2nd striker after Costa.

Why on earth would you think he is not willing to work for a 1st spot??? Did you forget he worked at Cobham in his first year... training with the 1st but only got playtime with the reserves?! He choose to 'work for his spot' by going out on loan. Scoring +10 goals on both occasions instead of snoozing on the bench watching Torres & Ba... I think he made the right decision. Especially in a WC year! Point is: If you think Romelu is not willing to work for his spot => You clearly don't know him and surely are not following him! If there is one thing Lukaku is known for... it's his willingness and dedication to be better every single day! He really has a 100% professional attitude!

He scored 29 goals in his 2 debut EPL seasons (being injured for a few weeks as well)! The only 3 players who beat this records are: Suarez (52 goals), Van Persie (37) & Sturride (31). => he's only 21 and has a whole career in front of him (read: he can improve his game!!) Yet I see soo many people complaining ( ) about his rough 1st touch and bad composure at the ball!!! This really baffles me!!! Are most of our fans really that stupid or just plain football noobs that they would prefer having prima ballerina's over goal scorers (we already have a really good Spanish one => VERY unproductive). I would recommend you to watch these shows instead of the EPL. Feel free to judge on style: Do I really read, people are shouting to sell Lukaku but then buy Bony????

I know, right?! I think the answer lays 100% in confidence. It's amazing how quickly it can go... but it is what it is... Scoring goals is off course an easy way to rate someone (no matter how good/bad he was in that game). Now that Torres completely stopped scoring (at the rate Suarez is doing at the moment) ... people lose there patience and confidence. Probably also the coach and his teammates. This must have gotten into his head... That's the only solution I can think off. I surely cannot blame his work ethic... he runs his butt off in every game. Also he still has it in him to pass by defenders with an amazing ease (Hazardesque), where I know a lot of strikers will be jealous about! He simply just stopped being productive! And if there is one thing you expect from a top striker at a top club...
