I wasn't really referring anyone directly mate. so certainly also not you Well thing with KDB is... he can be a AM (where we certainly have an overload of good players). But he can just as well be perfect as a # 6. Some will say this is his best position. He's just amazing in distributing the game. The pass and long shot he got in his feet... can only remind me of Lampard/Gerrard. So if you choose him not to play on the wings or as an AM, IMO he's THE most suitable solution to follow up Lampsy! And as it comes to Schurrle & Willian (which I do like to see playing), I have to say KDB is at least equally talented! But I can understand 85% of the readers here were not able to see that because he simply didn't play good enough in the few games he had. Although I remember everybody being lyric about him in preseason. Things can quickly change at top teams... That's for sure!
-
Sure, people are free to think whatever they want... I have nothing against that. But I'm sensible when players are not given a chance... and things are not going quick enough for the (spoilt) fans. Because honestly... KDB didn't even got a chance. If you on the other hand know (just like you) what qualities this player really has... it's so frustrating to see the masses going on a witch hunt! But as you say... I'm more than sure that KDB will do very fine... anywhere he goes. The only thing is, I wanted him to shine for Chelsea... (and not Leverkusen!)

Reading this topic really makes me feel sick. It's been a while since I last posted something... but reading all this bullshit really made me write again. I've been around this forum for 3 years now... not being the most active poster.... but always a good reader. The whole KDB saga of him being wasteful and people shouting he should go asap is really a good example of the worst side of Chelsea 'Fans' here on Talk! It's one thing to have an opinion... (imo everybody is totally free to have one) BUT this opinion should be based on something. And if you decide to come and shout... base it on hard facts! As it comes to KDB, after 4 games or so... who can argument about him on hard facts?? Please! This is just the smallest side of 'real' chelsea fans who like a club with big names and who will always prefer even bigger names and more money spend ("Roman has money, so everything is possible... attitude!!). I will not even try to mingle into the KDB story. Clearly I have an opinion since I've seen him playing since his 16-17. But I will give some small hints to the smartboys who are bashing him as whoefull: If you ask Jose honestly, he will always tell you he wants KDB to stay. If your manager believes in a player... you might want to think twice before you make your own opinion.KDB played in the Bundesliga last year (where he actually did get some minutes). What does it say to you if 4 of the top 6 Bundesliga teams are eager to buy him??? Yes this is the country of the sausages and big beer glasses... but also the country who had 2 teams in the CL final last year!KDB easily was the most important player for the Belgian National team in the qualifying round for Brazil. I don't think I have to mention all the names we have in our team these days... (oh yeah a certain Eden who is well adored by all here also plays there). Anyways... I'm afraid this is all wasted energy. KDB will go to Brazil. You will actually see him play games (and not Leaugue Cup games or Pre season ones) and I'm damn sure a lot of you will be thinking "fuck.. this is the ginger we actually owned last year. Why did hell did we let him go just like that". I hope by then this topic will be closed so I don't have to read all the bullshit again then!!

Cech Dave - Luiz - JT - Cole Rami KDB Oscar Mata Hazard Ba This line up should be worth looking at!

Who would you choose? I say no more!!

Did you ever think about the age difference that might have to do with this ????! Messi = 26 Ronaldo = 28 ... Hazard = 22

If Thorgan Hazard (and even Jordan Lukaku) is in there and this list is from any value... following belgian names should appear in 1-50: Adnan JanuzajZakaria BakkaliAndreas PereiraMatthias BossaertsDennis PraetYouri Thielemansand of course our very own: Charly Musonda Jr.!! Al these players can be rated as bigger talents than Jordan Lukaku & Thorgan Hazard!

Must say he made the most impressive debut as a belgian youngster ever! Closely followed by a certain E. Hazard. But then again... Eden was playing for Lille at that moment... Adnan was in a ManU shirt. Will most definitely become one of our best players on a short notice. And undoubtedly one of the best players in the EPL in the next years. If there is a chance of buying him... this is a no brainer. But probably he will be benched, loaned out or send to the reserve team. So naahh, let's not ruin this guys process!

Yes he was at first really disappointed and even a little angry because Chelsea failed to keep their promises!! He was more than ready to compete with Torres, Ba & Eto'o for that first spot. He's very ambitious and eager to improve every aspect of his game. Mourinho gave him a lot of trust and it seemed to work out well. So yeah... Romelu really thought he was going to play for us this season and Mourinho would make him better every game. Fact that Eto'o came and it didn't worked out to loan out Ba... changed all of this. Mourinho told him a loan would probably be a better option since he could play every single game... even as a starter. Something he cannot promise Romelu because of the competition. Mourinho and Romelu are working on a very specific game plan for Lukaku. It's all part of a bigger plan to make Romelu a real top striker. They both agreed yesterday that with close coaching from Jose and assistants himself... Romelu could develop this plan at Everton too... and maybe even faster than with us. This is why Romelu accepted this deal! He's not a dumb guy you know... in fact he's very smart! The little boy in him was angry and wanted to play for at all cost! The intelligent football player in him knows Everton is probably the best option. I don't know anything about the compensation actually. This I cannot help you with.
-
I don't know about India HJ... but Belgium is such a small country that it isn't such a big deal to actually know players on your NT. Furthermore we have a whole crew around this team (coaches, physiologists, pr managers, ...) and on top of that a whole bunch of people who work for our National Football association. It's almost a miracle if you don't know anyone in this group . So no james bond... or bond girls unfortunately. Just people who are at the NT (players and staff).
-
Guys please don't be naive! So of course he's is going to say that he likes the idea of playing for Everton and that he will do his very best to work harder to become a better player... => simply because that's just the way Romelu is: 100% professional and loyal towards his club. And it isn't even a lie... because all in all a loan to Everton is a good step in his further development + probably the best thing facing a World Cup next summer. BUT that doens't mean this is the way Lukaku planned it himself. I stick to my sources (as I told before I know Romelu and a lot of people close to him, Anderlecht & the belgian NT). Story is that Rom's himself woke up yesterday morning thinking he would return to the bridge after the game against Scotland as a Chelsea Blue! I didn't say he was NOT aware of the fact he got loaned out and all of this was a surprise at 00h01!! He did get a phone call from his manager yesterday night to inform him what Chelsea were planning to do (problems with BA => Rom's was plan B .He then called his parents (who weren't against this loan). Until this far his first choice was still WBA IF he had to go out on loan.He called Mourinho (who explained the case and said Everton would be the best choice to practice his running lines and movement. Furthermore Everton plays a lot more on ball possession as WBA + also the pressure on Rom's will also be a lot higher here. All in all good reasons to go out on loan IF you are told it will be difficult to get a lot of game time at Chelsea). He then called Martinez who told him he was eager to get Rom's on a loan deal. He also convinced Romelu that this deal could be the best option for him. In the end Romelu agreed on the deal. So of course it wasn't all against his will (not what I said). BUT it's not what he had in mind... and it was certainly not what he planned for. And especially after the club stated a loan deal would not be the case... there were no reasons to doubt that. Conclusion of the story: The will of the player is always inferior to the will of the club. Also if they change their opinions on the last day of the transfer market. Romelu was loaned out because the club didn't manage to find a solution for BA.We are lucky Romelu is so professional, ambitious & of good will! I can think of some other players (also on instagram/twitter/...) who would have responded differently!!!!And yes of course he says today he's happy about it (probably it's not even a bad deal). But main point is... this is a 100% decision of the club, forced up onto a player because of a change of plans on the last minute. Again, nobody has to believe me on this if you don't want to. Everyone is free to believe (and read) what he/she wants. You can blindly follow your most preferred newspaper, website, etc. and have an exciting life full of adventure and sudden plot twists . On this case however... I trust sources a little closer to the protagonist!

This is what really happened: First of all... I will not mingle myself into all these discussions if this loan move is good for him or not. Clearly he needs to play. If he was benched for us all season... a loan move is absolutely the right choice! BUT... this is what really happened yesterday night! Lukaku was promised a loan wouldn't be necessary this season. Both coach and board said they believed in him this season to stay at the bridge. This was even confirmed once again last week... both towards the player himself as to his manager Christophe.Chelsea was not planning a loan on himProblems with BA: the club wanted Demba Ba to go out on loan. But other than Arsenal... no club came to show actual interest. Since Roman didn't want Demba to go to a direct competitor of us... they wanted to wait until the deadline to find another club.No club came with an actual offer... Arsenal was once again thought off but eventually Roman had the final decision= NO!Too many strikers: With Eto'o, Torres, Lukaku and Ba... surely at least one striker had to go on a loan. Everybody agreed it should be BA. Since this plan failed... with the clock ticking Lukaku suddenly became an option again. Interest of several clubs: West Brom, Everton & Malaga were the most direct.Lukaku was not involved: Roms was in Belgium with our NT yesterday night. He himself was not involved in the discussions. He got to know the club was thinking about loaning him out all over sudden late in the evening.Rom was rather shocked since he was promised a loan wouldn't be an option this year. Lukaku really wanted to play for us this season! When he heard a loan would be the case... Apart from being devastated and shocked, Romelu only wanted one thing: back to West Brom. The club chooses Everton: With midnight arriving... Romelu got informed the club was going to loan him out to Everton. When he heard this, Romelu was REALLY disappointed!! First of all he didn't want to out on loan, secondly he was promised he would get his chance this season... and finally he had said IF he had to go... WBA was the only club he wanted to go to.Nevertheless the Club chooses Everton. Lukaku angry but professional: being angry & disappointed about the promises not being kept... Romelu felt really bad.Nevertheless he remained calm and most of all very professional! He was backed by his buddy Kevin Mirallas (Everton player) and soon he send his tweet into the world: happy to sign at Everton. Not really the case... but he's just a loyal and professional boy.As you see the club broke his promises and used Romelu as a plaything in their game with Demba which was going to fail! Apart from the outcome (probably being good for Rom's himself if he was to be benched all season) => this clearly bad management! Moreover you need to know we are dealing with human beings. In regard to Lukaku... the club already made so many mistakes... We can only be thrilled if Lukaku comes back for us in Winter or Next summer to ONCE AGAIN give his best to earn a spot in a team that doesn't give him chances!

Boys please... stop the We know what he's able off. So no need to start scouting reports of him after every single game! if he scores 2 goals against Hull this weekend, the friendly against France was as useless as:

Thorgan wanted to announce to his teammates at Zulte Waregem he would stay on loan for another year himself! He came up the idea to enter the sleeping hall (used by the players between to training sessions) and wake them up with the good news. Good to see how loved he is by his teammates! (seems like he has a different handshake with every single teammate. What a memory he must have ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=QRtg-PW4lsk

Surely I follow you in the fact the we as fans have to support Romelu in any way we can... ALSO if his having a bad game (or 2-3). It is also true that this is big step for Lukaku... He's probably given his chance by Mou this season. If he doesn't achieve his ambition... he will be massively dissapointed! BUT make no mistake. Even when having a few bad games in the beginning... this will not stop Lukaku from hunting his dream. It will even make him work harder to reach it! That's just simply how he is! Also don't forget that at the age of 16(!!!) he walked into Belgians #1 team and became the most valuable player week in week out. He was able to carry this HUGE weight of pressure that was on his shoulders every single week again. Becoming the leagues top scorer AND, more importantly, he confirmed his good form in the next season! I know that the pressure at Chelsea will be higher than at Anderlecht... but relatively speaking the pressure on his 16 year old shoulder would had to be far more difficult to cope with than the weight that is put on his shoulders at this moment. The biggest blow of his career came in his first season here with us. Not getting his chance, playing with the reserves every weekend and having the feeling he didn't make any progression. But we have all witnessed how he coped with that massive blow. He started working even harder and we all know what this have lead to => a great debut season in the EPL with 17(!!) goals. So all in all I wouldn't be to worried about Lukaku coping with pressure or having a few bad days. He will come back stronger and succeed... because this kind of dedication combined with talent is a certain recipe for success! He will be massive... mark my words!!

ROMELU LUKAKU wants to become a Chelsea legend — just like his buddy Didier Drogba. And the 6ft 3in striker is aiming to do it super fast with the help of the man he sees as a father figure. Lukaku — already dubbed the new Drogba — said: “Didier’s a legend. Now it’s up to me to do the same as he did. “And I want to achieve that as fast as possible.” Lukaku is confident he can emulate the great man — especially as he has the 35-year-old’s backing. The Belgian, 20, added: “He’s one of my best friends. He had the role of father figure to me when I was at Chelsea with him. “After training we would talk for an hour or so. “We have a good relationship and still talk every day. These days I tell him what I’m doing in training and he tells me if it is wrong or right. “And Didier is harder with me now than he has ever been before. “He watches a lot of my games and he expects a lot from me.” The constant advice and encouragement is gratefully received. And Lukaku enjoys all the comparisons. Yet he says he does NOT want to be just a carbon copy of Drogba, but a star in his own right. He insisted: “My dad called me Romelu Lukaku so I’m Romelu Lukaku. “Yes, we have a similar style of play but I still see there are a few differences. I don’t think people will see me as another Didier Drogba but as Romelu Lukaku.” That is not the kid being cocky, it is simply a sign of his confidence and ambition. The hitman stressed: “I know I can be good for the team and also that the team can be good for me. “My goalscoring record — one goal every two games since I was 16 years old — will help. “And I have confidence in the team, I have confidence in the staff, I have confidence in everyone here. “Otherwise I wouldn’t have decided to stay here. We have a big team. A lot of people are expecting big stuff from us this season. “We want to get up there and compete with the two Manchester teams — and I’m confident we can.” Drogba certainly became the scourge of Manchester during his swashbuckling Blues career — now the stage awaits his protege.

Imo his best goal until this far! He pulls this of at age 19 => showes massive confidence if you dare to try this as a rookie! Tell me, how often do you see that (apart from the akward Japanese League video's sometimes ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLcU1lGS3Vo
