  1. Wow you really are a strange one aren’t you 😂? I mean he was here for 18 months. Where as Sarri one season. Di Matteo 9 months and Grant also was in charge for 9 months. You’ll pick holes in his win ratio yet for months you’ve been coming up with every excuse under the sun for somebody who has the second worst win rate in the clubs history after 24 games. Embarrassing really. I mean Potter could be here for 5 seasons and wont achieve what Tuchel did in 18 months.
  2. Selling the homegrown players that are/could be regular fixtures here would be a catastrophic mistake IMO. The likes of James, Chalobah, Broja and Mount are shining examples to the academy and I thought Boehly had wanted to sustain the academy influence in the squad also? I mean it took years and years for us to finally integrate academy players now people seem particularly desperate to see us sell Mason and Trevor who can definitely offer something here? Plus the current influx of players signed under 21 and selling academy/homegrown players like those isn’t going to really paint a positive picture for any of the young guys wanting to break through here either is it? We have to get the balance right.
  3. Also had a fully fit Kante who was basically MOTM in what like 4 games in the run you to the final, also had Rudiger, Jorginho, Christensen, Mount all flying and playing extremely well. And as you mentioned an elite manager. I get optimism but I think it will be a tough tough ask.
  4. I think giving Auba a chance is a fair shout tbf. I mean how much longer are we going to persist with Kai who usually occupies the same areas as Felix and is usually far too deep despite playing as a 9? Granted Auba is past his peak but he is the sort of guy who would thrive off some of this service we should be able to provide with these attacking players.
  5. Wouldn’t say he’s necessarily made it any easier for the guy to score. But suppose there is always going to be a minority who will say he should do better for everything. I do suppose rather than blame a 100m+ player who may as well of not been there, doing his best “Jorginho impression” as people may want to put it, lets blame the GK who did everything right by coming out and trying to put the striker off. Or rather than blame the managers kamikaze idea of leaving somebody in a position where they could be 1 v 1 at a corner also. I suppose Kepa could have scored the chance Joao Felix hit the bar with the too so that’s his fault also?
  6. Didn’t play great but still had countless opportunities to run beyond our MF 2 with ease (particularly first half, along with Can) who looked more concerned about playing with the ball and forgetting about protecting the central defenders when we didn’t have it. On another day he could of played much better and affected the game more so hopefully we don’t afford such opportunities. Kante is a huge huge miss as this sort of thing is his bread and butter. Getting back and getting a foot in.
  7. The midfield situation needs addressing also. We have got a good mix of players for playing in there but Enzo and Ruben as a pair, without the ball, honestly… they look miles off it. Particularly when guys start running off of them. I don’t know how many times the likes of Can and Bellingham ran into spaces behind them (particularly first half it was like every time they got the ball) but it certainly seemed a lot. Kante is a huge miss for sure. That ability to recover 5-10 metres and get his foot in is a huge huge bonus. I know Enzo is still getting up to speed with his new team mates etc but I am beginning to think maybe having Paredes and De Paul in alongside him for Argentina certainly helped him do his thing. Not sure about at Benfica as didn’t see as many matches but we certainly need to find that right balance and partner for him
  8. If Conte stays at Spurs why would he sign him when he has Kane 🤣
  9. Here he goes post match with the over complicated answers and the interviewer talking about luck etc too 😂 for fuck sake
  10. I wouldn’t go that far, we’ve improved a bit but hardly completely played them off the park. Few big chances but you’d expect that with the players we have. Overall performance was meh. Parts that were better than games we’ve had but means fuck all if we lose such a silly goal to a counter from a set play. Still firmly in the Potter out camp, sooner the better. Aspects of this performance will buy him more time though in some peoples eyes
  11. Playing Felix and Havertz together is pointless. Both just drop deep and leaves us with nobody in the positions a CF should be in. Still cannot believe Havertz is starting every week
  12. Mudryk gonna needs time by the looks of it. Struggling to get involved in the game’s really bar that cameo v Liverpool. Severely overpaid
  13. What is it with this constant talk of Nkunku playing as a CF….. hes a number 10 he will play where Felix plays when he arrives.
  14. But again now how many times is that where Bellingham has sprinted past them like there not there? Nothing to do with the manager that. As a pair they are too offensive minded. Just want to play with the ball.
  15. Even there though, Brandt just comes in narrow and runs off the back of Enzo who's not aware enough. Do think we may need to go 433 but doesn’t matter how many guys in there if our lads aren’t thinking of who could be behind them, wont make a difference.
  16. Enzo and Ruben really don’t know how to defend at all do they? All good being neat and tidy, getting on the ball but playing in that position they both need to do so much more, especially positioning wise, huge gaps appearing.
  17. Pep came out on the defensive. Made fun of Slippy Gerrard (which I think we as Chelsea fans shouldn’t give 2 fucks about). Don’t see the issue here. Arteta hardly haranguing officials either. Plus what the fuck has clothes or how a manager dresses got to do with anything? Some right clowns on this forum. Maybe take two minutes to read a post fully and you’ll see I never mentioned anything about how a manager dresses instead of flying off the handle like a moron.
  18. Perhaps but I think keeping our best defensive CB partnership in the CL is more beneficial than a top heavy area of the team where we have 7 or 8 options on paper.
  19. His Atleti deal runs to the summer of 2027 though. Ultimately think a fee will be around £90-100m if we do make it permanent but not entirely sure because Nkunku is coming in the summer and plays the same position. Plus if he starts scoring goals or making assists regularly he will only strengthen Atleti’s valuation.
  20. Thats bullshit. I mean how many times did we see Jose, Conte or Tuchel lose the rag and our performances improve considerably afterwards? Or you going to tell me that didn’t ever happen too? Or Pep when he’s not happy with his team does he just sit with his hands in his pockets? Or does Klopp? I suppose I can’t make a point to somebody who doesn’t want to see it.
  21. Would of went for Badiashile over Mudryk tbf but his price tag undoubtedly would of raised a question. I mean Badiashile and Silva have arguably been our best snd most consistent players of late so its hardly that much of a surprise to say we should have put him in, is it?
  22. Not putting Badiashile in the CL squad is a massive fuck up. Don’t trust any of KK, Fofana or Chalobah in a back 4. Still can’t believe we paid 100m+ for Fofana and KK. Mental.
  23. Dont get how you could be so naive to think him doing nothing on the sides doesn't transmit to the players though. Like at all. Players respond to animation on the touchline particularly when it indicates that a manager isnt happy with the performance. I mean we’ve seen this with Jose, Tuchel, Conte, Sarri here in the past years. More examples are Klopp at Liverpool, Pep at City, Arteta at Arsenal. Its hardly anything revolutionary or new is it? Its basic body language. If things are going to shit and he‘s just going to stand there with his hands in his pockets and wait to HT or FT to get on at the players what sort of message do you think that sends to the players? I mean people complained when Frank did nothing also at the sidelines/showed no passion, anger or emotions. Its no different. I mean where is the standards here now? Are people happy to let us significantly drop off a cliff with Potter purely because he’s English? It’s embarrassing.
  24. Media getting under his skin over him not getting angry on the touchline. Guys not got the minerals for this club. A large % of us on here probably think the same re him being a statue when things are going to shit. Too soft for elite level management. Also not good enough
