  1. Marcello Gallardo? Ffs. One extreme to the next. The club really are clueless. No European experience as a manager - managed Nacional & River Plate. Would be an incredibly risky move. In fact it after the 2 already risky managerial & caretaker appointments already under Boehly & co - forget it. I get their making an extensive list but wouldn’t be surprised if we get linked to fucking Ted Lasso next.
  2. Good player but an extremely petulant little boy. Some of his antics this season for Barcelona have been embarrassing. Has definitely got little man syndrome - iron that out of him though, great player in the making.
  3. What did you expect? 🤣 Look at Enrique’s record as a manager at Roma & Barca. He had a massive say on transfers (and also, a lot of them bombed). Not like Boehly & co’s recruitment dream team have done great either with Fernandez and Badiashile the only ones who look decent so far so anyone coming in will want an input of some sort. Particularly this manager who has a ‘big reputation’. Plus the wide options are poor if we are going to play either 433 - his favoured system. Even more so considering Ziyech and Pulisic will leave. Mudryk has been utter shite too. But yeah wasn’t that excited about Enrique coming in partly because of his transfer record and boring brand, sterile brand of football with Spain. I do feel that it is strange he has never managed at a club since Barca. If he was that good he would of managed another big club, you’d think? I mean I don’t think anybody would of had issues with that front 3 he had.
  4. Don't even have a full time manager in place - yet they want to push on with signings. I mean there is potential with Felix yes but what happens if the manager doesn’t want him? Or wants his own players? I mean there is a perception that Potter didn’t have much say in terms of recruiting, so if a deal for Felix is pursued without a manager actually being put in place, what sort of message does that send?
  5. It is one of these very much take it with a pinch of salt but there is just something off with Boehly & Eghbali’s decisions this last year in general. I mean regardless of what they seem to do it doesn’t look good 90% of the time. The signings of Fernandez and Badiashile maybe the exceptions as it stands. There is an element of the club being a circus and a laughing stock at the moment. Its mainly been because of the decisions that have stemmed from the owner/owners. Maybe where this stories come from. But either way - Boehly & Eghbali haven’t done much right and need to seriously leave the decision making to footballing people from now on.
  6. Oh boy 🤣 What is it going to be tomorrow/next week? “Todd Boehly asked Kim Kardashian for her opinion on signing Mudryk” I mean anyone else I’d find it hard to believe but Boehly aye why not. Fucking clown.
  7. They’ve won like 5 CLs with them starting every game….. wtf
  8. Honestly I don’t know. If we were playing well and had a competent manager at least maybe, but Modric, Kroos and the other lad will be licking their lips at the prospect of playing us. I mean they even rested Modric & Kroos today. We look lightweight in midfield without the ball/on defensive transitions - something that will play right into Madrid’s hands as we seen against Barcelona. They decimated them on the counter with the likes of Vini and Rodrygo coming into central areas exposed by the Barca MF as they were pushing forward. So unless Lampard all of a sudden managed to make us compact, then I wouldn’t get overly confident. Not like his teams have a history of being hard to play against. Even the first season, we were always leaving huge gaps in between midfield and defence.
  9. Exactly. We won trophies with Roman and managers here because the culture and expectations were obvious. Do well or your out. It feels like we could finish anywhere between 10-15th and Potter would of still been here until only what a week ago? In all honesty I wouldn’t be surprised if any prospective managers we are speaking to are looking at us and going yeah it’s Chelsea but is it really going to be worth it? Barring the guys who are lesser established.
  10. What an awful signing. Complete waste of £90m for someone who isn’t going to start anytime soon. Arsenal & Shakhtar played an absolute blinder on us here. It may be early still but he has done NOTHING since Liverpool. Yet people were clamouring for him to start/get more minutes. Could of saved ourselves nearly £90m and used CHO, who would probably do more. Fitting he chose the number 15, because he is about as effective as Malouda was at the end. Not very.
  11. Another awful performance. Like most of his this season. I get the teams not done well at all, but he genuinely looks like he is a Sunday league player. Just completely overawed by the quality of the PL. Why did we reject the £40m from Everton, we will never get that fee for him again.
  12. Embarrassing. Hope he’s happy with himself. Fucking clueless.
  13. Yep, not even sure what to expect. I wouldn't be surprised if Boehly sacks Frank after this because it could be a big big thumping if todays levels are anything to go on 🤣 Madrid have what 10 goals in their last 2 games? Probably smash 4 or 5 past Villarreal as well.
  14. You did not just try and compare Lampard to Mourinho. Fuck off 🤣 At least Mourinho did some time as an assistant in and around some top coaches before going for it as a manager. Think it took him 2 years to go to Porto after spells at Benfica & some other team as a manager and he was pretty successful in 2 seasons wasn’t he? As opposed to Frank who basically got the Derby job because Harry Redknapp phoned Mel Morris (or so his uncle, Harry Redknapp, heavily hinted at saying it publicly). Then didn’t make the cut here or at Everton. Yes Everton got beat by United but fuck me, games v Man Utd wont define their season. They never have. The fact still stands Dyche has nearly more points than Lampard managed there in 6 months in half the time. I am guessing your going to be one of these Lampard in regardless. Great. Wheres the block button
  15. Did anyone really expect anything else? We were much better tactically and in terms of how we played v Liverpool with Bruno but we’ve given this fraud a chance who went away from a back 3 (which this squad is better suited to ATM) and well churned out arguably the worst performance since he was last in charge. Amateur hour again from the manager & Boehly & co. Genuinely have no faith in this ownership at all. Shame we are stuck with him for another 9 years. Embarrassing.
  16. Wrong. Look at how they’ve improved under Dyche. They will be heavily favoured to stay up now as opposed to being one of the nailed on teams to going down because Dyche has the know how and has picked up points quickly. In his 10 games he’s picked up 12 points. Lampard had 5 points in his last 9 games and 15 all season. Lets not talk about his failed transfers such as Neal Maupay, Dele Alli, James Garner, Idrissa Gueye….. Wait what… gained experience? He was at Everton for like 1 year? Do me a favour. Relegation battle experience maybe.
  17. Wasted his career really staying here and being a member of the loan army but a shame he’s had to finish early aye. He only just moved last season or the one before to Preston IIRC. He wont be short of a few bob though for what hes actually went on to achieve, he got a biggish deal when we signed him.
  18. I don’t get why people think his performances will pick up under Frank. Just look at how good the Everton attacking players did under him 😂 Masons in a weird situation now but he has to improve tenfold if he is going to feature. Lets dispel this myth too that Frank will always pick him too because other managers have picked him pretty frequently but with the contract situation if he does leave, a lack of or poor performances will not help us selling him for good £. Although I do think Liverpool will be right in for him. And wouldn’t be surprised if City had something to say, I mean they did spend £100m on Grealish so anything could happen.
  19. Tammy, Lukaku, Werner and Bats all had to go. I thought that much was obvious - unless they wanted to be squad players, which they didn’t. Thats why Tammy went to Roma, Giroud went to AC Milan, Werner went to Leipzig and Lukaku, well he shot himself in the foot with that interview and he should never pull the jersey on again partly for that and partly because he is average. I mean basically saying you didn’t want to leave Inter 6 months down the line when things weren’t all rosy here after signing for the team you claimed to have supported as a kid is pretty stupid. I mean its not like TT didn't try to get rid of Pulisic (again have Boehly to thank for that vetoing a potential loan to Newcastle because he thought with the WC coming up and the US going that Pulisic would somehow represent some value to the club) & Ziyech in the summer. He wanted Raphina to sign, then was a main driving force behind the Sterling & Aubamayang moves. He wanted to completely overhaul the attack because it wasn’t good enough…. Yet he is the reason we are where we are? Behave yourself. Potter & Boehly are the reason we are were we are. Poor management and poor judgement. I mean to sack a pretty good manager after 7 games at any level is ridiculous. Then hiring one with no real experience at a big club in transition is also pretty ridiculous.
  20. Lets get one thing clear, personally, for me, there was no point in having an interim from outside GP’s coaching staff because the seasons been dead rubber since it started so why give someone else the 10-12 games or whatever. The time to have sacked Potter was months and months ago - the top brass at the club knew it was clearly too. Or they would have just seen the season out for all thats left of it. This is basically a publicity stunt, a ploy by Boehly to try restore some sort of faith/good publicity in him and Clearlakes strategy but it is ludicrous. And there will be the % of folk who thought Frank was unfortunate to get sacked the first time round now falling for it. It really just slows down any chances of any manager coming in and evaluating the squad first hand (which again, seasons done in the league for us, it would be a perfect chance for a manager to lay some building blocks or experiment in the league with some minor ideas/systems/personnel/combinations prior to pre season). It could also put doubt/unnecessary pressure on the board and even the next guy in the door if somehow Frank does well and say wins the CL (surely not). If they sacked Potter months ago, it would of been better and made more sense than appointing another manager for say 2 months. This club has been a laughing stock since the season started and Boehly is hugely culpable because more or less the way this season has unfolded, was because of decisions he has made - extremely poorly may I add. Not pushing to keep Marina and Cech in place to he could properly identify and recruit others to take their roles on was the first big one as they had a good working relationship with Tuchel. It was clear Boehly didn’t in that role. I get Rome wasn't built in a day but you’d think that trying to retain some sort of structure to your better prepared to replace people would make sense. Sacking Tuchel & hiring Potter - I mean do we need to say anymore. Then not sacking Potter months ago - again, needless to say anymore. Now delaying any managerial appointment by appointing a caretaker manager to mainly save face or buy time because he acted hastily in ditching the original coach at the beginning of the season….
  21. Stopped reading after this. Experience? What experience? 2 sackings? 2 lost dressing rooms? 2 soft soft teams who looked devoid of ideas and any spirit. Sure
  22. Yes because someone who already failed to motivate a certain % of this group as well as fell out with/marginalised certain guys here, and then went onto Everton and failed again is the exact guy to do motivate a group of players. Jesus. I mean look at how shockingly well motivated Everton's players were…… And he is someone who the players know 99% will be gone in the summer either way, so yeah going to work well isn’t it? “Yeah players X, Y and Z, get your acts together or you might not be here next season” “Ok Frank, no problem. Not like your going to be here next season to make that choice, are you?” It is likely going to send the complete opposite message. I mean why burst a gut under this guy if you know your likely going to get a clean slate again when ANOTHER new manager comes in the summer?
  23. No other way to put it - it is incompetence at the highest level.
  24. This is going to be a shambles isnt it
