He did well in that season where AVB won the Europa League against the clubs who were decent enough but not exactly top teams. Hes played good against some big teams, its just that he seems to drift in and out of some games against bigger teams or just not live up to expectations. Also he hasn't got a great defensive work rate but I would hope he would work on that if he came here. We'll see though.

Moses and Schurrle are a work in progress though while Hulk is basically developed and will play at that level until he is 28 or 29 then probably fade a bit. Hulk seems to go missing in big games thats the only problem, can't really say Benfica vs Porto is as big a game as Chelsea vs Man Utd will be or Chelsea vs Arsenal etc. Moses seemed to be Wigan's main man against the big teams, he'd always be looking to take people on and try create something. His stats aren't great but they're steadily improving tbh. Haven't seen much of Schurrle, watched a few Germany clips and he looked good for them. I wouldn't mind either of the 3 tbh. Yeah I was gutted that Rodriguez had such a high release clause but Porto seem to know how to make a fair return, the fuckers!!

Di Maria is far more creative than Hulk, he isn't as greedy either. If he cut the diving out of his game and wasn't injured as often as he has been the last season or two he'd be talked about as one of the best wingers in the world. He can get to the byline and cross, cut inside and play a killer pass or shoot. Hes also another left footed right winger but he is very good with his right foot also so he can mix it up a bit unlike Hulk who is completely one footed.

I would totally be up for signing James Rodriguez instead of Hulk because he has so much more potential and will end up eclipsing Hulk in a year or two. Lukaku is better of staying here if we don't sign a new striker. Then he will actually get a chance if we get any injuries that will need Studge to play as a winger or striker. I would have him here as long as he is going to be used as a winger. Danny can get his shot up the middle then challenging Torres for the starting spot. If we play to Dannys strengths we will see his real potential, he is fucking rapid, play him in behind defenders and they will struggle! Same with Torres, as long as we play him in behind defences he will hopefully start banging them in. None of this long ball to Drogba tactics any more.

4-1-3-2 is suicidal, our midfield will be overrun by any decent enough team unless the attacking midfielders/wingers drop back constantly which I can't see them doing. 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 is probably the best formation for us tbh.
