  1. Bet half of us have all put Oscar in our teams... I haven't but I am tempted.
  2. If Ramires was naturally better technically he could be a natural winger. Offers great defensive work on the right as well, if he could get his touch and crossing much better than what it is now then he'd be a good option there too. Maybe we should look to pip Arsenal to Santi Cazorla? Isn't he not able to play as a winger and had decent assist stats for Valencia and Malaga over the last few years? Only problem for me is the team is vastly unbalanced and without Ramires or Kalou on the right/left offering help by tracking back and doing some dirty work we could be exposed.
  3. True but I'd rather a winger similar to Antonio Valencia, as in he gets at least 10 assists a season. Marin could be but I'm unsure if he will be a regular or just an impact player. Mata and Hazard are capable but they are probably greater at scoring goals than setting them up. Mata had a lot of assists last season but tbh we only looked to him for creativity so someone like Valencia would be a perfect fit on the right wing. Just a pity every winger wants to come inside these days!
  4. If we need any sort of winger, it should be one who can get to the byline and cross 9 out of 10 times rather than Hulk who prefers to come in and shoot more than pick someone out.
  5. I have a funny feeling he will get Didiers shirt, just a hunch though.
  6. Hate to put a negative spin on this signing, but it seems that Lamps days as a Chelsea regular will be very slim either next season or the one after. Oscar will probably be his successor, or Josh maybe.
  7. We'd be linked with Torres ever since after his first season with Liverpool!!!
  8. If its true about him wanting £175,000 p/w he can get to fuck. Plus if the transfer fee is over £30 million, the same applies.
  9. Seen this earlier, isn't he not doing youth coaching with Milan now?
  10. If he doesn't cut here, its nothing major, if he does its a bargain.
  11. Seems this rumor has picked up again after Whelan coming out and saying we're still in talks for him. Personally if he plays like this for us I would love him. Maybe he should of scored when he went clean through and crossed it when he shot but still played class against them! Absolutely tore Sagna a new arsehole. Also in this video showing his goals his finishing and movement is very good for some of the goals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSR53VXw-yo&feature=player_embedded
  12. Watch the Team GB vs Brazil friendly again and look at how well Oscar played against the likes of Joe Allan, Ryan Giggs, Tom Cleverley in the midfield. He was MOTM imo because his passing was very accurate, didn't complete every pass but he did complete the majority of them. He also made a few interceptions in the game and for being "lightweight" he was strong in the tackle and trying to regain possession. He linked the midfield and attack really well, got in to advanced positions* and managed to test the keeper once or twice. Was only one game but he looked very promising, very very promising. *With Sandro and Romulo more defensive minded players he was able to get in to the attacking positions, only question is if hes playing in the double pivot will he have that freedom? Just wondering what will happen but we will see.
  13. True, I have hated Levy ever since the Modric saga last summer despite us possibly paying them 40-50 million for him just half a year after giving Liverpool 50 million for Torres (and we all know what happened with him.........). He is a spunkbucket.
  14. Modric has done a Tevez... gone missing.
  15. Fergie is getting dottled I must say. Hazard is genuinely worth 32 million, in fact hes probably worth more. Lucas is only a 15 million player right now as he is still very rough around the edges, his dribbling, shooting and pace is very good while most of the other parts of his game aren't that good. And as you said where would he play him, exactly what I am wondering lol. Valencia, Nani and Kagawa are better than Lucas right now and will be played ahead of him. He should probably go to Inter in Serie A and build himself up from prospect into a more established player like what Hazard did at Lille.... (then come to Chelsea in 2 or 3 seasons)
  16. Ah fuck it we got Hazard, Utd can have him. Probably not even worth the 30 odd million they will pay anyway.
  17. Brazil have got better individuals but Spain still play better as a team imo. It will be a very good match up though if they come against each other tbh. I still fancy Brazil to win the Olympics though, especially if Spain get put out !!!
  18. Rami, Hazard and Ashley are my 3 from Chelsea!
  19. Yeah he has had the same injury on his knee 2 or 3 times. Still he has got a lot of years left in him, hopefully he can get close to what he was before. I would rather he stayed than going out and signing Tiote as it would be hard as fuck to convince Newcastle to sell for him less than 20-25 million. Also Tiote is good yes but I think hes overrated slightly (especially by Newcastle fans). He wouldn't plug the gap the old Essien did, he would be a second rate option imo. If we were going to replace Essien it would have to be someone who is nearly is/as good as he was a few years back and the only player suitable would be Yaya Toure (who is playing for cunting Man City sadly). I'd keep one eye on Victor Wanyama though, guys defos got talent I just don't know if he'll develop into a pure beast like old Ess! Hes only 20 now but he has the attributes to be considered.
  20. There aren't thousands of players like Essien. Tiote, Yaya Toure and perhaps even Ramires (not exactly the same) are the closest players to Essien. Plus if Essien got back to his old form he'd be better than all of them. So basically if your willing to take a "second rate" player in Tiote (who we would have to play a whole shitload of dosh to Newcastle for) rather than wait and see if the Bison gets back to his previous self then you sir are crazy. The last 2 years were very start and stop for him, he had injuries in both seasons that held him back so I'd wait and give him this season to see if he can regain his form, hopefully in an injury free season.
  21. Everyone included Hazard in their teams, right?
  22. If Essien gets back to his former self we would be fucking INSANE to sell him. He looked class yesterday, yes its only one game but if he plays like that against AC Milan, MLS all stars, Brighton and perhaps Man City we'd be daft to let him go. He was one of the greatest midfielders about a few years ago, form is temporary class is permanent Remember he just came back from that major injury too. Also with all these technical players who aren't as great physically we need more players like him who can bully opponents, if we were to play Stoke City with Hazard, Marin, Mata and Oscar in the team, they would get knocked off the ball rather easy.
