If he gets put clean through and does what he did against the Seattle Sounders (poor touch, recovered due to his speed, went round keeper and scored) I won't really mind. His first touch needs to be great with his back to goal, or when hes not running into space where he can recover it if its a bit iffy. I think if you've got a lot of pace and your first touch isn't the greatest but isn't the worst, when your clean through on goal you've always got a chance in recovering the ball. Sounds stupid but yeah Hes got a few assists for WBA doesn't he? Fortunes goal vs Sunderland and Billy Jones goal vs whoever (the guy scored a deflected shot) might have been vs Southampton/Reading can't remember exactly....

His speed should make up for his poor first touch, well if he gets a first touch into space it should. Still needs to improve for keeping the ball with his back to goal.

Na I think Fellaini is a decent enough player if you play to his strengths which is kicking the ball high for him but hes an average player technically, poor passer, poor tackler etc he wouldn't fit a side based on possession football. Hes average like Fellaini. Play to his strengths (high/low crosses into the box) and he will score but still hes shit in general play. Seen him play a lot of SPL games, good goalscorer but offers nothing else.

I can see some older players coming back into the side under Scolari tbh. Kaka, Robinho, Ronaldinho etc and just play it safe for a while, instead of tweaking with youngsters and risking things.

Brazil have appointed ex-Chelsea manager Phil Scolari as their coach on a contract covering the 2014 World Cup, replacing Mano Menezes who was sacked as Brazil seek to head in a new direction. Still don't see why Menezes was sacked, his team played nice football and he won most of his games. Scolari's teams tend to grind results out playing dire football so yeah Brazil could be terrible in the 2014 WC. This man won the World Cup in 2002 with Brazil though so in fact you never know...
