  1. The whole back 3 should have been narrower. Could blame Cahill. Could blame Azpilicueta on the right side for not coming in either. Regardless, it was a good run between both CBs, goal is a collection of individual errors started by Pedro, no point saying GC could have been more proactive, that’s not his game stepping out and intercepting, plus if he does that and doesn’t get it? Even easier. In all fairness Gary has looked alright since going into the middle of the back 3. For me the chance doesn’t come if Pedro doesn’t play the ball back infield and if Bakayoko doesn’t tumble to the ground like the useless cunt he is in such a crucial area he’s got to just punt that ball upfield or get a foul.
  2. Honestly against somebody that fast he’s not exactly got much of a chance considering how well Wilson timed his run. Not sure what Pedro was thinking a few mins back before passing to Baka and then fuck knows what Baka was even trying to do. Don’t think Cahill is as bad as anybody seems to say. He had a poor spell start of year but honestly that goal could of been avoided if Pedro and Bakayoko didn’t do stupid things. Barkley off is a mistake he’s still more likely to do something than Bakayoko or Kante. Bakayoko should have come off for Cesc.
  3. Don’t be daft Moura is like a Brazilian Theo Walcott 😂
  4. Obviously they would post a video like that but a few years ago when he was scoring every week for them he was one of/the best striker in the league. Football fans are fickle. Every single one of us 😂
  5. Short corners are fucking shite, for weeks now I’ve been wishing we’d cut them out! Also Eden shoot, Kante shoot, no point putting all the work in beating players then getting the chance to pop a shot off then doing fuck all afterwards!!! Wouldn’t say Ake has been that good either but he’s an ex Chelsea player and people tend to over exaggerate our former youth players quality. Regardless “do a goal” Chelsea 😂
  6. Great talent, would happily have him here, regardless of how hes played this season and in all fairness Real have really struggled themselves all over. If its in return for Eden, that has to come with 100-150M from Real as well.
  7. Crappy signing? He has 105 goals in 253 games for Arsenal. That's pretty decent and in terms of his age he's an ideal age to be a back up. Financially its not really that much of a big fee, sure hes surplus to requirements as you say but, really is it more because of Arsenal or his desire to play in which why hes wanting to move? Arsenal would probably keep him if they could, its so obvious Wenger rates him and has done for years but I think its more Giroud wanting out than Arsenal wanting him out.
  8. Most of his goals have been tap ins where he has only had to get on the end of the ball (after all the hard work has been done for him by his team mates) from about 5 yards out.... in terms of a modern day striker he is terrible, he doesn't offer anything except being alert in the 6 yard box and even then his movement is pretty sub par for a top level footballer. At least Aubamayang has real pace and stretches teams, can beat players in 1v1s, combine well with attacking midfielders... Michy not so much. Dortmund don't put chances on a plate for him then he will struggle. Big time. No idea why Dortmund haven't looked for someone else in all fairness, a more rounded player, because the likes of Reus, Yarmolenko, Phillipp, Sancho, Pulisic, Kagawa, Gotze, all these guys like to play little 2 or 3 pass combinations as well. particularly Kagawa, Gotze, Reus, wont get much from Michy in that regard. Can't see them building their team around Michy when they have all those sort of players.
  9. They've bid 50M which is already too much. They are going to seriously overspend. Not necessarily a bad move maybe he fills their bench gives them more options but hes hardly worth 50M let alone anything above it.
  10. Sturridge and Schurrle to WBA pretty decent business. Not signings you'd expect at top 4 but for a club like that, exceptional work. Rondon looked decent as well recently for WBA, so add Sturridge, Jay Rodriguez, Schurrle if he can play well... decent attacking team along with the likes of Krychowiak (spelling probably wrong), Johnny Evans and Ben Foster, think they'll start winning more games.
  11. Tbf Conte's philosophy is more about winning as opposed to playing like X or Y. Italy, Juventus... all adaptable. Always had plan A B and C. We need something like that, flexible team who can go longer to a Giroud or Dzeko or play a bit more into feet into a Hazard or Morata. But yeah club will not give proper control or time to any coach. Then the next guy we will approach to be manager will be Diego Simeone or some other pragmatic manager.
  12. No I meant both were obviously mistakes of different severity but when it comes to a football discussion, not sure why it’s brought up.
  13. Not sure what that has to do with football, people make mistakes in life but it’s not like you know him personally is it? JT Wayne Bridge thing was the same. Bad what happened but ultimately a mistake and totally irrelevant on the pitch. As a footballer he’s committed and comes up with goals, sure he’s struggled this year but who hasn’t who played regularly last season? Moses? Cesc? Luiz? Willian? Pedro? He’s been playing every week this season, same as last year and has looked poor yes but until he gets some more adequate competition - Emerson hopefully - then he has to play.
  14. I sincerely hope not. Hazard should play wide or off the front. Sick of seeing us go with a false 9. Just leaves Eden extremely isolated and when he comes deeper to get the ball a lot of the time nobody is in front of him looking to get in behind. 3 CFs is needed, Morata, Giroud and Batshuayi (or would rather see Hudson Odoi get the minutes in all fairness if Batshuayi goes but no way Conte lets Batshuayi go and uses him more often) would do the job. 3 different types of players.
  15. Not sure why Conte would say we need 3 strikers then let Michy leave, even if Giroud comes in or by some minor miracle Dzeko happens. He always had like at least 4 CFs at Juventus.
  16. I don't think 120k a week is exactly unreasonable, considering he'll be one of Roma's highest earners considering his City wage would of been quite big (wouldn't exactly be one of our top earners on that money, both Courtois & Hazard if they renew will get almost double (Tibo), triple (Eden) that. Cesc, David Luiz, Morata... all bound to be on more than that), although I can see the reluctantly to offer him a longer deal than we would have originally wanted to. I'd imagine that there is more chance of a compromise on salary than on the length of the contract. Hardly ridiculous demands, most players we will sign will want a pay rise. Think 3.5 years is something our board wouldnt move on. They'd of wanted like 2 years.
  17. Drives a hard bargain? Like paying 35m for Drinkwater, 40m for Bakayoko and 33m for Batshuayi? We've overpaid for players we've signed in the last how ever many years except a few (Costa, Cesc, Kante, Alonso who you could say we've gotten value for money) then failed to pay a bit more for players who have genuine quality in comparison to what we have gotten (Kyle Walker, Alex Sandro, Danilo).
  18. Still not sure what anybody seen in Bertrand to think he was going to be a good player for us. Squad filler yes maybe but again, he struggled to displace Ashley Cole who was on a downward spiral (although he still offered good performances in games where he played despite not being used that often under Mourinho in particular), sure Mourinho had his favourites like Ivanovic at RB but LB was very much a spot that was very much there to be contested, to the point where Cesar ended up playing the role (and to an excellent standard) but yeah, Bertrand, isn't missed, when Emerson comes in we will have 2 decent enough LBs of a better quality. Plus in regard to Mourinho's style, it worked didn't it? Nobody complained at the time when we wont he league etc, sure it was shite the season after but again the club were standing still and everyone else was going forwards. We were probably worse under Benitez.
  19. He just needs to play. If no PL club is willing to take him then sending him to Celtic with Brendan Rodgers is as good as it gets. They have games vs Zenit coming up in EL and quite frankly nobody knows what could happen. Also there’s lots of games to play in SPL. Win-Win
  20. Yeah, incredibly risky too, only had 2 seasons where he was really successful and that was at Barcelona (won a treble and a double), took Celta to 9th the season before he went to Barca, had a poor stint at Roma years ago. Linked with Bayern as well, which if they offer him the job, I can't see him coming here - why would you. Watch we'll get some second rate manager in all probability. Or Carlo.
  21. To be fair, hes 17 years old, he will get more and more confident if he continues at this rate but he just looks like a midfield player to me, always wants to take the ball, sure he has looked good at CB too but I honestly think he should be allowed the chance to play more in MF, he will receive more touches of the ball, gives him the opportunity to be more involved and hit those sort of passes. If it turns out hes better suited to CB then fair enough but regardless if he ends up at CB in the long run or at CM, he will be a very good player. World beater bit of a loose term, don't think he'll be up to that level but he can have a very good career, hopefully at Chelsea. I think hes surprised everybody though.
  22. Best move for him right now is to go to a club and get loaned back to Fulham for another season. Really impressive goal return for a 17 year old, seems to be quite consistent in his performances but could do with another year there playing regularly. Fulham have to watch out as well that they don't burn him out, hes 17, Wilshere played a lot of football 17-19 and look how badly that affected him, they really need to be careful.
  23. Again, clear to see hes still rusty but he got a bit more involved in limited minutes. Always looking to take the ball on the half turn and get forward. Hopefully in 2 weeks time we'll properly start to see him at 100% in terms of match fitness and he can show us a bit more.
  24. I think he'll be used more as a 10 or wide man yeah. Can't see him anywhere else at Celtic. Unless he plays as an 8 in a 3 man MF but Celtic have got plenty of CM options so maybe not as likely.
  25. Needs to be kept in MF, what a pass for Pedro's chance, absolute class. Sometimes he might go sideways a bit much but he very much mixed it up today I thought, although in limited minutes, offered something Drinkwater and Kante didn't in terms of looking forwards. I hope Conte stays because he seems to really rate him. Regardless, bright future for this guy in MF or at CB, although my personal preference would be in MF.
