If he wanted to stay here he wouldnt have accepted Monaco's offer in all fairness. He didnt want to be a second choice/string player, which is why he was open to the offer as it guaranteed him more of a chance to play, which is more important than money, and in all fairness it was either going to be this month or the summer it happened with his contract running down. As well as the clubs stance on over 30s and wanting to rebuild the squad he would probably have been an unfortunate casualty anyway but I think he had plenty to offer still.

Rumors of Kagawa being avaliable from BVB for 2-4m euros. Would be a bargain for someone. Still a good wee player.

Ribery, Robben, Coman, Gnabry, even James and Thomas Muller can all play in those wide positions. James didnt even get a start most weeks in any of those 3 attacking positions behind the CF at the start of the season. They are breaking the bank because the markets inflated and we rate Callum very highly, much higher than what City rated Sancho only selling him for 7m obviously, or they didnt expect him to do so well so fast. If CHO isnt willing to wait to the summer to try break ahead of Pedro and Willian, why move to Bayern in January to be stuck behind at least 4 much more senior players (Ribery, Robbem, Coman, Gnabry - all good in their own regard and better than Callum for sure) as well as their new signing Davies who arrived from the MLS. Throw in Muller and James who can operate on both sides too if needed if there was say a massive injury crisis. Going now makes no sense, in the summer makes more sense because Ribery and Robben both probably wont be there. Even then if he goes now or in the summer, he wont go to Bayern and start instantly every week,l because regardless of how stupid this club can be, if your good enough to start for Bayern Munich, youd simply be starting here.

He probably wouldnt be on the bench if Costa wasn't injured/suspened/whatever reason he wasnt playing. Kalinic is going to be sold which is why Atletico want Morata. To replace him.
-
Would have to say I agree. He clearly didnt see a long term future at Chelsea when he signed that 3 year pro contract, which was probably a smart move as he hasnt featured regularly but after Bayern talking about him publically and a transfer request, drag it out, we didnt pay for him so we arent suffering by making him see out his contract.

Hypothetically we could have Lamps but thats only hypothetically and I would be very surprised in all fairness. Theres a bigger chance that Roman would never go for a British coach because well firstly he hasnt so far (although he wanted Fergie at the beginning when he took over) probably for one reason being that all the best coaches arent British and probably still wont be in 10 years time.
-
Rabiot is still more a defensive player in my eyes. He is box to box but he definitely isnt a hugely attacking player. Very good on the ball though and gets stuck in, can carry the ball well too.
-
In all fairness, the guy would probably be rotation here for a bit to start with but he will start for PSG undoubtedly as they didnt replace Thiago Motta in the summer when he retired and Thomas Tuchel made a huge deal of it a while ago in the media.
-
Because why spend money on a player a club doesnt want when you can get him on loan and then feel free to sign him afterwards if he does well?
-
"Higuains weight an issue" how many times did we see that before he signed? Ffs the guys a pro athelete look at the photos there too, weight an issue my arse. Welcome to Chelsea, Higuain, no doubts for me he will be worth it, good pedigree and experience. Put the ball away for fun his whole career.

Boom, get in. Personally I was surprised Emerson started the gane and very very suprised how well he did in both lhases of the game, offensively and defensively. What Sarri said seemed to have worked, lit a fire under the players arses. Wheres that Eden Hazard bloke been for about 2 month?
-
I would say hes a better player than Piatek, Frankfurt are a decent outfit too (better last season) and come the summer I wouldnt be surprised if something was on the cards, a team at a bigger level, someone like a Dortmund (I know their top of the league but) where the platforms really good for young players because they have patience and the pressure isnt huge or an Atletico where they bring strikers on really really well (although they are pretty stocked up in that department when Morata goes if he hasnt already). Think Bayern might go for him too if they dont get Werner and IF Kovac stays as they worked together last season but I would think he would be wary about making a big move too soon and not playing every week as well because he had the same at Benfica and he still needs to play regularly to further develop but the potential there is potentially huge.
-
Think Piatek might flop at Milan in all honesty. He had a good start at Genoa but Milan is another level all together and although they arent amazing could be too big a move imo. Better platform than Madrid though, hed really struggle there if he didnt start well.

What a player that boy de Jong is. Brilliant signing for Barca. Will take over from Busquets in the long run but will probably play with him as he is a multifunctional player who can play as a 6, 8 or as a CB in a back 3. Barca trying to get de Ligt as well. Another huge huge talented Dutch player.
-
Again Sarri is not wrong. Eden doesnt inspire me completely as somebody who is demanding enough to push himself, yet alone 10 other players. He is more a talismanic figure as opposed to a captain. I would say theres a difference bit that's just me. Some would say they could be similar. Meh.
-
I hope your joking? He had created the most chances at Everton for about 3 seasons in a row when playing regularly.... thats what his game was under Martinez, Koeman and whoever else, sure he scored goals too but the majority of them were probably from outside the 18 yard box.
-
And again for the underperforming seasons? His team mates faults obviously? Ironically the two years we win the title with everyone playing well in our team, he is considered hugely important but nobody talks about the lack of effort and bad performances on his behalf also crucial to two hugely disappointing campaigns, although hes not the only one but theres always an excuse, Mourinho, Conte, Sarri... or Willian or Pedro.... funny And teammates. Lets not forget when Azpi played at LB he was on par with the best LBs in the league bar that bad 6 months under Jose. Juan Mata when he was here, was also a lot better than Hazard the first season and then Mourinho froze him out. Fabregas and Costa for the first 6 months under Mourinho were more key to CFC team than Eden because they did what our team lacked, being decisive in the final third, creating or scoring goals. Azpi, Luiz, Kante, Matic, all very good and important the year we won the title playing 343, creating that hugely solid platform that made us hard to beat, with Costa providing the killer instinct upfront too. Wingbacks as well deserve praise that season. The successes havent just been built on the back of Edens performances. Which is what I get the feeling people are hinting at a lot. Its Chelsea FC not Hazard FC. Sure we could habe had world class players in other positions but I dont get the diffetence. With Belgium KdB is the only other player at the same level as him in all honesty but he seems to always play at 100% regardless of position, opposition or his form. Here he can play very very good or very poorly. Recently, not very good. That sort of indifference and inconsistencies, particularly with those poor seasons inbetween title wins, are a very bad sign for a player of his talent.
-
This Hazard hasn't had good team mates shit is ridiculous in all fairness. Same with the proper overlapping LB crap. We didnt win 2 PL titles or whatever else we have won when Hazard has been here by luck. He has had good/very good team mates in his spell here. Very very good ones like Mata, Fabregas, Matic (who ironically enough, some on here regarded as the best DM in the world for a time before deciding Bakayoko was 100 times better 😂), Kante, Costa.... fair enough not a massive list but in 6 or 7 years there has been very good players around him and even others. Its just another excuse, you would think he was playing with Marko Marin and an aged out Malouda all the time in attack. Fair enough Willian and Pedro arent amazing but until the club signs somebody better they cannot be directly blamed or the false 9 position or Mourinho/Conte/Sarri, for Edens inconsistencies and poor performances at times. The buck stops with him. Ronaldinho at his best was just ridiculous and had an unbelievably natural talent where he could virtually do anything he wanted on a football pitch and it would come off perfectly. Like Messi has got. Like Neymar as well.
-
Perhaps but I doubt he would be starting every week. Maybe somebody to bring on to close out a game? Id be surprised if he isnt used sparingly or in games against bigger teams where experience can help.
-
I dont think its that easy to say Parades is better than Jorginho and would displace him that quickly or at all. Lets no forget this team is struggling, holding midfielder is exposed a lot, players are underperforming... Paredes would have the same issues as Jorginho after a few games. Jorginho was probably talked about as remotely near to world class without being world at the start of the season and nows he shite... shows how fickle football can be. Sergio Busquets would look out of place/shite in this team and hes one of the best in that number 6 position for the last 10 plus years.
-
Reckon its more for experience in the dressing room. A lot of young guys at Derby. Coles experience and knowledge will be a big boost.
-
Frustrated the living hell out of them all the times hes underperformed as well no doubt. More goals would bring him up though there's no doubt about it, I know he offers a lot but so do the likes of Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe even Dybala but they all have good numbers season in and season out. Like I said I think hes maybe close to maxed out and he doesnt seem to be bothered about pushing to have better numbers in terms of goals or assists. Interesting interview though.
-
We were never going to be anything close to that this season. It took Sarri 2 pre seasons and a full season of Serie A to get Napoli to a good level. People expect him to work miracles, as if hes jesus himself and can turn water into wine. Lack of rotation has killed our momentum but it is also key to building patterns and relationships on the pitch which is needed to execute "Sarriball".

Because if anybody dares to criticze Eden certain members pop up saying that it is controversial of wrong to criticize him or have some excuse. Has been the same shit for years, folk act as if hes the only ever top player to have pulled on the shirt for us (hes not, he could be one of the very top top ones but I dont even think he will be in the Lampard, Drogba, Cech, Terry bracket because those guys were world class, never lost their desire, won trophies during the club's most successful period). Although if Willian, Pedro, Alonso, Jorginho, Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Morata or whoever play like Eden has done at times the last few years theres a virtual pitchfork mob trying to chase them out the club. Eden is world class but you wouldnt think that at all recently. Needs a rocket up his arse. He may not like playing false 9 but instead of acting like a baby, constantly swinging his arms up to complain or that in games, he has to work, do the job and do it well. End of story. Same with everybody else in the team.
