Outstanding. From Chilwells ball to Havertz touch and Werners pass.
-
Lets hope so. A blind man can see a proper number 9 is needed I like the Kane and Son comparison, I would actually take Kane and Son if it was possible though even if meant giving Spurs Werner but thats FIFA transfers 😂 He has done that but his ball retention has been absolutely abysmal 75% of the time sofar first half. Its not sticking and they are picking up the ball and coming back at us. For someone who played for Ajax he has seemed very careless with the ball at times this season.
-
Never mind world class. One of an adequate level would of scored some of them chances or got a contact on them 😂 trying my hardest with Timo but my god he is so underwhelming to watch in the box.
-
Aye I do think Kante will be coming on at HT we need someone in there to help out. Think for Gilmour the rustiness is obvious but can’t get worse in the second half. Plus Fulham will tire as they have done already a bit and if Kante comes in, he wont be playing up against 2 CMs by himself as Mason seems to have been playing more out on the left for the majority of the first half than centrally in a 2.
-
Yeah. Tbf could make more than 3 subs at HT, Reece, Timo and Ziyech poor. Gilmour also struggled a bit but think he’s not getting a great deal of help in there from Mount as he seems to be playing higher up as opposed to in a pairing with him like we usually see from Kante and Jorginho and Kovacic and Jorginho. Personally think Abraham and Kante have to come on for Ziyech and Werner. Move Mount back to 10 with Kai also playing off Tammy.
-
Anyone else commentator keep calling the Fulham LB Andy Robertson when his name is Anthonee Robertson? Doing my head in 😂 either thst or the guy can’t speak properly.
-
Mount is absolutely strolling it out there already. 20 minutes in. Havertz also looking excellent. Looks as if he wants to make an impact everytime he gets the ball and by getting into the box.

100%. Maybe to a lesser extent but I still remember the whole “Diego Costa crimes” incident. Jose referenced that Jamie Redknapp had started on Sky after the game v Liverpool. That tag ultimately remained with Costa throughout his time in the PL and apparently there was talk he didn’t like it or didn’t like that Jose didn’t defend him fully as well as his lack of english meant he couldn't really defend himself to the press either so they had this impression thats what he was. Also re Sarri not playing Kante as a number 6, that whole debacle was started by the media despite Kante never having played as a fixed pivot in the PL ever. It led to people doubting him from the off and also put huge unnecessary pressure on Jorginho who ended up getting a lot of stick from our own fans later on in the season. Whilst not anywhere near as bad as the online abuse or racist incidents, the media definitely do stir the pot with these sort of things and ultimately they contribute to these things becoming accelerated which leads to the unfortunate and disgusting racist abuse you see online from various idiots. The whole Son situation after the Man Utd game, yes maybe he dived or tried conning the ref but Ole’s OTT reaction didnt help the situation and then the idiots obviously felt that racially abusing someone from behind a Twitter account was a good thing to do. Everything has a point which starts something off or accelerates it to an extreme.

Yeah poor start. Don’t think Fulham can maintain this though. This is how a lot of the games theyve had this season has gone that I have seen, fast starts and then it comes undone. Heres hoping it is the same again.
-
Also very true. I think the magnitude of a win here for us should also be enough to motivate us. I actually now think the loss v WBA was a good thing for us, obviously no loss is good but I think losing earlier under Tuchel also is better than later on at this stage. It got a reaction from us and it also highlighted how these results are unacceptable. Plus how results have gone its more favourable for us with how results have gone since.
-
We are playing Fulham who have Lemina and Anguissa, not Xavi and Iniesta. Plus they are playing what looks like a 442 on paper so we aren’t outnumbered in there either. Havertz, Ziyech will be able to come inside/drop in to help us get the ball in those areas also so we will be fine.
-
Ah maybe not. Still he will get a pre season of sorts as opposed to having to work around implementing ideas and systems with a game every 3 days. Will be better for us and should see more improvement I would hope.
-
We signed Filipe Luis aged 28, Fabregas aged 27, David Luiz aged 29, Mendy aged 28, Ziyech aged 27. Silva on a free aged 35. Someone who is 27/28 will be a good buy as they are in their prime. I would prefer Haaland but its a dream as opposed to a reality I would think. As long as its the right player who’s signed never mind the age or the fee. This squad needs a bit of experience and killer instinct in the top end of the pitch.
-
I dont know what your meaning here haha?
-
True but theres an initial adaption period and then theres having a bad half/ two thirds of a season. I mean at the beginning of the season when he was sort of scoring/assisting with more regularity was he fully adapted then? The majority of players seem to adapt much quicker to leagues than they used to back in the day also and between Germany and the PL the leagues are more similar than further away from each other in terms of intensity and physicality than other leagues such as La Liga and Serie A. Still differences but I think someone who is 25 and plays for Germany should be able to deal with playing under big pressures and expectations considering they’re usually always in the favourites for most tournaments or most games they play. Who was the last player we signed that took this long to adapt to the PL? I cant think of many in recent years. Pulisic maybe? But even then when he got in and going you could argue maybe he was held back, particularly after the super cup game as well. There were some who maybe didn’t get a lot of minutes ie. Schurrle, Salah, KdB, Filipe Luis for instance but theres that, then not adapting.

Can see the thinking behind it but Marina will never go for it. Neither will the club. Any player sales this summer will be reinvested into a CF by the looks of it so we will try get the maximum we can for anyone who we want to let go. I mean look at Marco van Ginkel, guys had so many breakdowns during his time here and never been in the squad since that injury he got v Swindon (IIRc). Theres never ever been any mention of a free transfer for him and he’s repeatedly signed new deals to put the club in a position to gain something from him from a sale. So cant see it from a more valuable asset as Ruben is homegrown and we all know that adds more money to his price.
-
Yeah not buying the Stuttgart comparison thing. He was 19 there, playing for a team that flirted with relegation and mid table, he is now 25 playing at a huge club whilst also being a German international footballer. He should be much more clinical and used to greater pressure and expectations. He has to have a good season next year. End of story.
-
No. We need a CF regardless of Timo picking it up next season or not. It will be a disaster going into another season without a top number 9. Werner isn’t even a natural number 9, he probably suits playing off the sides or with a number 9 as a focal point. Although thats not an excuse considering his goal return this season and the nature of a lot of his performances. A top CF is a must. We will be better with a full pre season with Tuchel for sure but we still need a CF who can get 15-20 goals minimum every season. Anyone who thinks we can do without one needs to think it through, why have we dropped so many points the last 18 months? Because of a lack of a clinical CF and a poor defence. Tuchel has sorted the backline but it’s clear we need more in attack. Also re Kane, I doubt we will ever get a deal out of Levy. Remember when we tried to buy Modric? Modric was desperate to go but even then Levy was adamant he wouldn't be coming here. United made a bid bigger than Reals for Bale as well but he refused to do business with them also. Negotiations with Spurs will be near impossible for Kane I would imagine. Plus whilst he and Lukaku are both excellent CFs, I do wonder if they would be a better investment than Haaland. Haaland particularly, could be our CF for 10 years. I suppose any of the three would be a huge improvement. Even Aguero on a free also.
-
We will be trying to close the gap on City next season hopefully with Tuchel so I don’t know re Barkley, you would hope that he has no intentions on keeping a player who does something for maybe 5 or 6 games a season and nothing else when we have a wealth of attacking midfielders at a really good level such as Havertz, Mason, Ziyech. For me I think he and the club has to be ruthless in the summer, that means the likes of Ross, Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Charly Musounda, Baba Rahman, Zappacosta, Batshuayi, Kenedy, Baker etc have to be moved on. I mean how many chances do we have to give Ross and Michy in particular? Also Ruben could fall in that category as he has hardly put up anything worth of note at Fulham and Abraham is also looking likely to be let go. We have a good nucleus now, with two or three really good additions and a full pre season with TT I think we will be a much different animal next season. Letting Ross, Ruben or any of the others named above back into the squad would be going backwards. We already have one of the strongest squads and thats without a top CF, I don’t see them improving it.

A free transfer? Did he not just sign a new £120,000 p/week deal like 1 and a half seasons ago? From a business sense it would be insane/more than understandable if the club wanted a fee for him considering he still has 2 years left. His career has hardly been ended either, he’s had a full year at Fulham almost and done nothing. Even their fans aren’t that impressed. Bit off the cuff now but he will still have a PL career around mid table/top 8 sort of level maybe. Really cant see him being back here likely unless Tuchel gives him a chance and helps him in his development (but it will need to a huge development I would think to save his career here). Bar that half season with Sarri hes never really done much else consistently at Palace or Fulham in terms of deciding or affecting games in an offensive way. Hes played 105 games in the PL, scored 10 goals and assisted 6 times. For a more offensive minded midfielder thats a goal involvement every 6 and a half games. He has also only created 8 big chances. This season alone for Fulham, he has 1 goal, 2 assists and 2 big chances created. In 28 games. Granted Fulham aren’t Man City or Bayern but at the same time for an ever present attacking midfielder to have 1 goal, 2 assists and 2 big chances created at that level. Its woeful. Thats likely why he will never have a career here because at 25, as a more offensive midfielder playing off the front for Fulham, he’s been nowhere near productive enough in affecting games which is a shame because the talent was there. Its not even like nobody is on his wave length he just genuinely isn’t doing it for them. He will end up somewhere else this summer - whether its another loan or sale who knows?
-
Yeah was gonna say. We should have went after Cavani, even in the January with Frank in charge when we were linked him there was the naysayers saying “he’s old and has struggled with a bad season of injuries”.... Well 12 goals 4 assists in 1527 minutes so a goal involvement every 95 minutes. Just shows sometimes class is permanent. To get 4 goal involvements v Roma, if anyone seen the game, he was outstanding. Imagine they’d started him more often instead of Martial he’d easily be close to 20 goals I would think.
-
Who says he wants the money they're talking about though for him? One thing is a story about his agents aims or demands and the other is the player. Who would turn down Bayern these days? Not many players tbf. If he remains another season and goes to Bayern then that is an incredible move for him either way. Comes in and is the natural successor to Lewandowski.
-
Drofgba still scored goals 10 PL goals in his first season. He may have underwhelmed but he still put up better numbers. He scored 16 goals in total but lets forget he scored 16 the next season too. He only ever scored mode than 20 twice.
-
Never a red card 😂 was a foul though.
-
Hopefully. But the final is a different proposition than a semi final.
