Petrovic had some saves in that first run of games he got which probably got folk excited but in terms of the basics, so blatant he is an average goalkeeper. Like he is a number 2 for sure - anyone thinking he can come in as a number 1 for a team that should be competing for Europe is having a laugh. I’d have Kepa over him and we all know Kepa isn’t particularly brilliant. It is scary when you look and teams like Everton, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Southampton, Brentford and Brighton probably all have better GKs than we do on top of the usual clubs with the big GKs. I mean not one of those GKs is worse than Sanchez or Jorgensen. Or Petrovic. Not seen Penders so no clue but doubt he is the next Courtois based on the amount of guys this mob have signed who are so average. Agree on CBs. Genuinely surprised Colwill wasn’t made vice captain when they made James captain though 😂

Reckon Maresca has got his excuses written out already. Us getting CL this season just means we end up keeping him so really do not care what the result is. I do genuinely expect Everton to get something here, we are an extremely soft and naive side whilst they have got a bit of grit and spirit about them again since Moyes went back in. They are pretty poor, the goals they give away particularly, but you can see what a bit of passion and effort from the players can bring a team even one struggling. Can see why United fans are liking Amorin though, says it as it, no sugar coating, bullshitting or making any excuses. Thats why United fans are definitely happy to give him benefit of the doubt. I doubt it. The way those fuckwits work he will be seen as a “smart signing” because he is 1) home grown 2) worked with the manager at City EDS 3) Joe Shields knows him 4) will be a relatively incentivised lower contract like every other deal and not to mention £25m fee for a English player is relatively low irregardless of ability. If they sack the manager and sporting directors, maybe. Until then doubt it.

Xabi Alonso is a risky move to replace Ancelotti - good coach but Leverkusen and Madrid 2 different propositions all together, even if he won the Bundesliga. Particularly with Hansi Flick going in and completely kickstarting a new direction with Barcelona. Looks like they have the structure they needed with him. If I were Madrid, I’d be throwing everything at Klopp. He can certainly handle egos/big personalities (proved with Salah & Mane) and has a reputation for his sides competing against the biggest teams (a lot at Dortmund before they fell off & obviously period at Liverpool).

Yeah Delap is a number 2 striker. We already have Jackson. Under the old regime, we’d be trying to get a good/top manager in and go for either Isak or Oshimen. Even without CL football. Jackson & Colwill played virtually every week their fit too even when struggling. How many points have the three of them cost us this season with awful displays? A manager who keeps playing the same players even when their struggling clearly deserves a huge chunk of the blame. Throw in the piss poor and boring style of football too.
