Let's get real, we are 99% not selling Torres or buying another striker. Luckily we have Danny as plan B, and even more importantly we have never in the last 10 years relied solely on our striker for goals. Though I expect us Roman to panic in Jan and splash 50mil for Cavani.

It's ridiculous some people still think that way. Those prejudice stereotypes never applied a hundred years ago, let alone now. I mean with our wide-spread fan base, we probably have more Jew fans today than Tottenham do.

Excellent description. But if you'll notice, you just described what Mikel does BEST in this league (along with Song). While Lamps can do all of these and still manage to make a couple of late runs to the pen area to score. Yes Modric is an excellent player but the way that he has been portrayed since last summer as our saver is ridiculous. Every player that is signed adds a little to the squad, but I don't feel that what he can add here is worth 40mil because he is not exactly a major upgrade to what we already have. Honestly, sometimes I think the problem is that Mikel did not cost 40mil to get the recognition he deserves.

How did you come up with three seasons? Why not two or four? With youngsters you can't know until they are given a proper chance with the team. We can't let this great generation of youngsters go to waste. I'm this is not directed towards you personally, but I've had it with people talking about "creativity". Can you define it please or give me examples of creativity?

We can't keep buying a couple of world-class players for every position. We have some excellent young talents who play in that double pivot role like Romeu, Josh, and De Bruyne. We already have two great players there in Frank and Mikel and a few good reserves. Signing Modric means letting go of our youngsters.

FFS 15mins? It's been more than 15 months and countless chances. Any decent striker in the world would have scored at least one goal tonight. How can someone be in such deep denial to not see this?

I just can't stand Burley. Believe me I tried to like him since he played for us, but no, couldn't do it!

Not forgetting anyone. Since then we have practically let every one go for free: Cole, Ballack, Sheva, Anelka, Alex, Zhirkov, and now Drogba, Kalou and Bosingwa.

I think he meant if Brana wants to leave. He left the door open for Madrid by saying that he will decide on his future when he returns from vacation. You never know.

Great shout. He would make an excellent squad player as long as we can get him for less than 12mil.

Besides, he didn't exactly have a good season. I doubt he will ever be able to replicate his form of the 2009-2010 season with all the injuries he's suffered since.

Yes, I see your point, but whom would you suggest? We can't get yet another 30-40mil signing like modric.

My first choice RB would be Lechtsteiner, but I can't see Juve selling him. There is a serious shortage of quality RBs in the market. We won't know that for sure until he is given a chance in the league and not just the odd carling cup match.

When Lamps needs resting we'll have to settle for Raul, although I personally would like to see Josh given a shot. The creativity will have to come from the front four. When we pay an estimate of 143mil, surely we expect them to have the quality to break down almost any defense.

I agree but I don't see us selling Raul as much as I would love to see him go. As for the second part, I think Lamps is more than capable of finding any of the front four and playing them into space as he demonstrated best with Drogba's and Ramires' goals vs Barcelona. Mikel, btw, is just as capable of finding passes that split defenses, his long range passing is unbelievably underrated.

I'm pretty sure De Bruyne is going on loan to a PL side. I even remember reading that he said so. Ramires I really don't think he can play CM in the 4-2-3-1 especially along side Lamps. Frank, despite his excellent performances there, is not a DM, he cannot cover for Ramires' runs forward especially that he will be looking to make forward runs himself. The Lamps-Mikel partnership turned our season around and, imo, was the key element in winning the two cups. I'd keep it for another year.
