  1. Tbh, I wasn't sure to expect of either; don't I'm sure even now. I just wanted to start a Brazilian-Belgian war
  2. I can't remember exactly what it was, but you're probably right.
  3. We've been discussing this before Sam made his thread. If this were about a single member or incident we would not have taken the trouble to make this announcement but instead dealt with the situation. Don't you agree that people have been getting attacked for expressing an opinion? Check the Mata thread, Lampard thread, Mourinho..etc On any account, I don't get what you're upset about. All the announcement did was talk in general about members rights of expressing opinions. Don't you agree that people should be able to express their opinions without getting attacked? If you have an objection about what came in the opening post, say it and we can discuss it here.
  4. I know what you're thinking, but no, we're not getting another attacking midfielder!
  5. I expect this to be as quite for us as the last. All the excitement is elsewhere. Fortunately for us, of course. Clubs, especially us, tend to do stupid things on transfer deadline day.
  6. I'm convinced that papers like the mail and mirror have two giant wheels similar to the wheel of fortune. One has the names of all the players and the other of all the clubs. the journos spin them and write a story linking whichever player that comes up with which ever club. That can be the only explanation why stories like Torres to Inter could be possible!
  7. Demichellis to city is a done deal, btw. I hope it does not hinder the progress of Nastasic. Brilliant prospect and very underrated.
  8. Why would we get rid of him? He is our only proven solid back-up to our 32yo LB.
  9. So Chelsea will sell Torres to Inter and replace him with Benzema on deadline day? Those journos need to cut down on FIFA manager mode!
  10. Why does it have to be the scum, though? I just hope there is no buy-clause inserted into the contract. Moses did well last season and he deserved more than this, imho.
  11. You do realize that 17yo RLC, who has never made a competitive appearance for the first team, has a contract that is worth something like 1.7m per year IIRC.
  12. Deadline Day thread unlocked: http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/10951-deadline-day/ Let the madness begin!
  13. Are those the backstreet boys in the back of the car?!
  14. To all TC members, In lights of the recent alarmingly frequent arguments and fights around the forum, the staff have been monitoring the situation closely and would like clarify a few things: First of all we'd like to urge everyone to have more tolerance towards other members' opinions. This is a forum and differences in opinions are not only inevitable, but are what add life to the place. Attacks on members for just expressing an opinion have been becoming ridiculously common and cannot be accepted anymore. And that goes for personal insults and insulting other peoples opinions and trying to discredit them by calling them "stupid", "delusional" or any of the other usual stuff. Insulting other people's opinions will only lead to them insulting you back and that's how all fights starts. This is not about any one member or any specific situation but rather the whole "mood" of the forum. The staff are very keen on keeping the forum a place where anyone can express their opinion freely about any subject as long as it does not violate any forum rules. We do not like strict rules and restrictions about posting. It is what sets us apart from other forums. This freedom of expression is what makes this wonderful close-knit community possible, and we want to keep it that way. But at the same time we are adamant about making that possible for all our members equally. Your freedom of expressing whatever you want stops at the freedom of expression of others. Meaning, you can say what you want as long as what you say does not affect the next members right to say what he/she wants. We do not wish to stop disagreements; on the contrary we encourage them because that is what forums are all about. But there is a line between disagreeing with an opinion and insulting it, and that line has unfortunately been crossed countless times, especially in the past couple of months. So as a result, we have taken the decision, as staff, to deal with similar situations more strictly to ensure that everyone gets an enjoyable experience from the forum. Thus, anyone who insults any member for expressing an opinion, whatever the opinion may be (as long as it does not break any forum rules) will be asked to stop by staff members and anyone who persists on doing so will be facing disciplinary action according to our three strike warning system. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. I hope that we can kick this annoying phenomena out of our beloved forum and continue to have positive discussion. On behalf of the TalkChelsea staff, Nour.
  15. Don't make me hurt your cats, Jason!
  16. Come to think of it, can he even speak English?
  17. Man, I have the weirdest boner right now...
  18. Not just based on how we're playing, but also based on what we know Ramires is capable of in a more advanced role, for example and based on what I know about Lampard's usual defensive contribution. I mean how well does Jose really know the squad at the moment? Like you said, he's still testing things out.
  19. Really? Ramires is average in that holding role, especially against stronger teams, and Lampard just gets completely by-passed by opposition midfielders. I think we have much better options than that.
  20. Sorry, they didn't say the deal was done, but they did say that the bid was real and that the teams are in advanced talks. Not surprised he wants to leave madrid; incredibly underrated there. But why would he want to join a club with no ambition of winning any trophies?!
  21. Panic buys. El Shaarawi literally had three decent months and Ozil is class, but for 40m?! They already have Cazorla in the same position.
  22. Al Jazeera reporting that the deal is done for 40m pounds.
  23. Was incredibly nice of him to talk to and answer a lot of fans on twitter. Seems like a genuinely nice guy.
  24. What's wrong with relying on your pace? Ronaldo and Bale have made a career of it (No I am not saying that Rami is as good as either). But what I think makes Rami close to world-class is his delivery at the end of those amazing runs. His ability to finish at top speed after running more than 50 meters or find the killer pass on a regular basis is unmatched by any footballer I know.
