He's done the basics right, which is all you want from your youngsters. His defensive work is top-notch and his work-rate is admirable. Let's not forget he's 18! I would have more doubts about a young player who shows skills and flair like Kakuta than a young player who just does the basics right and keeps it simple like Bertrand. Anyway, I don't think Shurrle will do much better in the PL, tbh.

He's another thought, if we want a squad player who can play both on the wings and as a striker, why not Piazon? He's showed he can play at a high level.

Against Fulham I actually think it would be a very good idea to start with both Ba and Torres. But I doubt Rafa would do it.

Yes, but I think he made the decision to retire at the end of the season and the injury just pushed that closer. At least, that's what the article said.

He sustained an injury apparently. But great great player. Probably the best in Switzerland's history. Absolutely loved him.

Not entirely sure how much this Rob Beasley guys is reliable (although he seems very close to the club), but according to him, the players asked if they would get bonuses for winning the EL and the answer was "get lost" because this was not an objective at the start of the season. Wonder how that would affect the players' attitude and performances, if it s true..

Another disappointing late loss for Watford and Nathanial. They need to rediscover their form before the play-offs.

I think I'm going to have to miss this one. Come to think of it, we haven't won a single one of the matches I've missed this season (Both Southampton games and QPR at home). I'm not confident at all, but hoping we scrape a 1-0 win.

I've watched Schurrle many many times. His dribbling skills are slightly better than Danny, but Sturridge is a better finisher. Other than that they're very similar. Any way, let's just wait and see.
